Wonderful salon experience 1/12/2012

I've been getting my hair done at Nurtur for almost 2 years now and I couldn't be happier with my experience. My stylist's name is Jaclyn and she always does a wonderful job with my hair. I've recommended her to several people and they all comment on what a great stylist she is. The overall experience at Nurtur is welcoming and their hot tea is delicious. more

Soothing, caring and pretty fast service! 1/12/2012

My second trip to Nurtur was even better than the first! I scheduled a hair trim Tuesday afternoon for the following Wednesday evening. They had three different appointments open and were quite friendly in meeting my schedule. Once I was there I was immediately asked if I needed/wanted a beverage and if they could take my jacket. Very nice, very home-like. Then I saw Mariel and she sat me in her chair and was very friendly and met my needs for my fine and very straight hair. Before my shampoo I had a relaxing shoulder and neck massage. During the shampoo I had a lovely mini-facial. During my hair trim Mariel was very kind and asked me questions and kept me relaxed. Once I left with a fresh hair-do, she mentioned to me some products that I may like and gave me a sample to take home of a lovely face moisturizer which I liked very much. Great service and great people there. THANK YOU NURTUR SALON! more

Lesleigh is the best esthetician! 1/12/2012

I love Nurtur in general, and am always satisfied with their services. Lesleigh has been the most amazing esthetician and always leaves my eyebrows absolutely perfect and never overdone. I cannot say enough good things about her, and her cheery demeanor. She also always recommends other stylists for services i haven't tried, which is nice. more

Fresh & wholesome products 1/8/2012

For a special treat, light an Aveda candle. You will feel pampered and special. Then drink the tea -- no sugar needed -- you will feel calm. The cleanser and moisterizer for sensative skin is the only one I will use. It's a little pricy, but worth it. I also love Shampure and Be Curley. Aveda has fantastic products. more

A perfect "treat-yourself" experience! 1/5/2012

With the holidays quickly approaching and stress levels rising, the facial with massage at Nurtur was the perfect way to relax and slow down. The room was cozy, warm and both the aromatherapy and music added to the relaxing atmosphere. My aesthetician was friendly and clearly loves the work she does, which made for a lovely appointment. I'll highly recommend this service to anyone needing a break from a busy or stressful schedule! more

Best Salon Experience of My Life! 1/4/2012

I love Nurtur. I've seen many different stylists there, but I went back to Kaitlyn this time and wasn't disappointed. The hair washing alone was worth the money! Not only does she deliver a fabulous haircut (she was able to translate exactly what I wanted onto my head), but the extras that you get at Nurtur are unparallelled. Having a complimentary mini facial and neck and shoulder massage really makes the experience like a spa trip. It's so much more than a haircut! more

Roots Exposed 1/4/2012

I really enjoy the experience every time I come into Nurtur the Salon. I have never had a negative thing to say about it. However, the highlighting technique I wish could be a little different. I got a highlight yesterday to cover my roots up and they are still exposed. I've been to many other salons that cover them up without involving a retouch. I'm not pleased with the end result of the highlight, it looks about the same as it did before and I spent $125. I like Tina and how she cuts and styles hair so I will be back but, I may need to get my highlights done elsewhere next time, unless a better technique is formulated to cover the roots the first time. more

Hair Experience 1/4/2012

My colorist was great and my highlights look amazing but I did feel like I was being rushed through. My colorist did not have time to trim my hair, someone else washed out my hair and then on a very cold day, did my hair curly (still wet) when I repeatedly asked for it to be blown out. When I asked her she would only respond, "This is what the colorist told me to do." That made me not happy since I am the customer and its my hair (and money!). more
