DO NOT RENT FROM THESE HORRIBLE PEOPLE!!!!! I rented from them while attending Auburn University. My apartment was broken into 3 times in one week, along with many others in the neighborhood. I pulled police reports to prove so. A neighbor even had a bullet left on her door step as a threat. I came to the owners of Northcutt realty and begged them to please let me out of my lease as I could not sleep or stand to be in this unsafe environment. The repairman who fixed my kicked in door even said that he has fixed multiple doors from break-ins in the area. As a 20 year old girl I did not feel safe there, but Northcutt would not let me move anywhere else or get out of my lease. I had never been late on a payment or had any issues as a renter. So the only thing I could do was leave, but could not afford to pay rent on two places, while still in college!!! Northcutt Realty took me to court, and made me pay for the rent plus court fees and lawyer fees. The total came to around $4,0 more

I learned this through getting to know each one of them personally by visiting multiple times to beg them to please let me live somewhere safe! Please do not let your kids rent from these crooks!!!! more

The worst customer service, EVER! Incompetent staff, rude, and does not care about tenants. My car was broken into twice, poor lit area. You're better off living in your car!! more

Bear with me. This is going to be a long one:\r \r I lived in Thunderbird II apartments.\r \r First incident: My parking pass was stolen out of my car and towed on Saturday (even though the guy who towed me said he recognized my car). I picked up my car on Sunday and told the tow company that I wouldn't be able to pick up a new pass until Tuesday, because I was in class from 8AM-5PM. Though told me they would pass the word around. I get back from class at 4:45PM and my car is gone. I pick up my car the following day (out $200 + $10 storage fee) and go to Northcutt to complain, because the tow company refused to give me my car even though I proved to them I had a pass. Mr. Northcutt himself said it wasn't his problem. He did give me a parking pass on the house as if it would make up for the fact that he wouldn't back me at all. Replacement passes are $25, but probably cost $2-$3 to make, so it wasn't as if he was sacrificing much. \r Total cost of incident: $200 (waived $10 storage fee and $ more

I have had the worst experience with this rental company that I have ever had. When me and my roommates signed a lease with Northcutt we put down a cleaning fee. The day we moved in the house was an absolute wreck (even though we had to pay to have it cleaned). They come into our house all the time unannounced and for long periods of time. I have talked to Chris Northcutt (the owner) himself about all of this and he has been very rude and spoke to me like a dog. I will never ever rent from them again and advise you to do the same if you ever want to feel comfortable in the house that you pay to live in. more

My boyfriend and I recently moved to the area from Statesboro, GA. This was our first big move, from 5 hours away, and we wanted to make sure that the place that we decided on was one that we could see ourselves spending at least the next 5 years in.\r \r It was 3 weeks before school was to start, which means that all of the property rental companies in Auburn were sure to be slammed with students and parents. At Northcutt, this did not seem to be an issue. We were helped AS SOON AS we walked in the door.....no waiting time at all! Being one of the largest property management companies in the Auburn area, I was not expecting to get the owner on the phone when I called but to my surprise I was able to speak with him the first time I called... and the second. Very courteous service and each of my questions were answered quickly. Northcutt Realty has turned my questions about conducting business is Auburn a pleasurable experience. more

I don't think Northcutt is great place to deal with. They are not friendly and could care less ones you move in. They don't paint or do anything because you move in. I would deal with another company if my child needs another apartment. We moved her out and will never rent from them again. more

I recently went to a friend's apartment who rents from Northcutt Realty and was disturbed by how the "lawn crew" just stared at my butt the whole entire time that i walked past them. i over heard the chubby guy tell his workers how he'd like to get me in bed more

My first rental experience in Auburn was with Northcutt Realty, and although it wasn't that bad, I've learned since then (from other realties) that it could have been better. The staff were friendly and took time with me, but the apartment I moved into was a complete mess...cigarette butts in the sink, mud on the floor, toilet not flushed for days, etc. It also takes them a long time to fix things that are pretty important. I had trouble with the plumbing in the bathroom and they kept coming to "fix" it, and they also kept sending me $40 maintenance bills every time they came. But they weren't fixing it! Not to get too specific, but the bathroom eventually became un-usuable and I had to call the county health department, who in turn forced Northcutt to deal with the problem (which could have been taken care of from the very beginning). Me and my wife took off of work to drive to Auburn (from Birmingham). We spent from 10am to about 4:45pm looking at the places they had within our price range, and finally had decided on a nice place near campus. We got back to the office and sat down to fill out the lease agreement. It was only THEN that they let us know that the rent is an additional $100 per month for each extra person (more than one) living in the apartment.\r \r We ended up not having seen anything that was actually within our price range on that day, and had to take off of work AGAIN to come look at apartments, with companies besides Northcutt. more

Northcutt realty is not a very friendly realty. I am living in one of their apartments and I am waiting for my lease to be over so I can move out. They gave us a very hard time when we were moving in. They did not paint the walls, although all other realteis do that. The house wasn't as clean as we expected. the house is full of roches, and they do nothing about it. They keep on telling you they will change everthing and then they do nothing about it. more

a friend has a not very good experience with northcutt realty. they gave him an appartment not like the one they show to him before the contract. and it was very difficult to him let them clean and repair the actuel one. more

Northcut Realty office is on Gay Street, one block away schools library. It is a big realty agency in Auburn area. The application fee is $ 30. They have some cheap efficiency with price from$215 to $ 230. It includes water. It is nice for poor students who wish to live in walking distance to school. Their pest control does work at all. And if you want to sublease, you need to pay extra $ 100 more
