My first rental experience in Auburn was with Northcutt Realty, and although it wasn't that bad, I've learned since then (from other realties) that it could have been better. The staff were friendly and took time with me, but the apartment I moved into was a complete mess...cigarette butts in the sink, mud on the floor, toilet not flushed for days, etc. It also takes them a long time to fix things that are pretty important. I had trouble with the plumbing in the bathroom and they kept coming to "fix" it, and they also kept sending me $40 maintenance bills every time they came. But they weren't fixing it! Not to get too specific, but the bathroom eventually became un-usuable and I had to call the county health department, who in turn forced Northcutt to deal with the problem (which could have been taken care of from the very beginning). It also doesn't matter how clean you leave the apartment, you won't get more than half your deposit back. I spent hours cleaning, scrubbing, fixi
