I have never had a remotely poor experience with National. Their Emerald Club surpasses everyone else's rewards programs as well. I recommend choosing National anytime you need to rent a vehicle. more

I reserved and rented a vehicle from National Car Rental. Being an Emerald Club member was an experience that I will definately use again. They treated us like royality, were completely polite and helpful. Both picking out and returning the car was completely hassel-free. We rented a car from Fort Collins to DIA in April (National/Enterprise). We ended up with a Nissan Frontier truck. It was snowing that day, so we had to get 3 of us plus luggage inside the truck which was very tight. Not an ideal situation (next time I will specify a car only), but the vehicle ran fine and pickup/delivery was smooth with no delays at the rental location or the airport. Overall it was a good trip.\r Also rented from them in MKE for 4 days. Everything went smoothly there as well. Quick pickup/return is what I look for and a good vehicle. I was not disappointed. more

As usual for National, a flawless, quick, convenient rental. While I usually travel alone for business, this was a family trip and the longest delay was in the family decision on which vehicle to rent. We settled on a Nissan Pathfinder and were impressed enough to consider purchasing this model in the future. \r The shuttle bus driver from the airport to the facility was very friendly and there was little/no delay in waiting for the bus at either end of the rental.\r I will rent from National again. more

I've been a member of the Emerald Club for over a decade, and have always been happy with the professionalism and service - and how National has kept up with new technology to improve their services to their customers. But besides that, on this last trip to Denver, it was the personal touch that impressed me. I left my cell phone in the rental car on its return, and was heading back to the airport when I realized it - felt pretty foolish - but the bus driver noticed my concern, asked me what was the matter, and then took it on himself to call back to have someone pick up the phone and have it ready when we reached the car lot. They met the bus when we returned - it took an absolute minimum of time, and I still had plenty of time to catch my flight back home. I wish I would have written down the driver's name to give him specific credit - his extra effort to make it very easy to resolve the situation. Thanks to the driver, and thanks to National! more

Rented two mini vans In Denver for my groups drive 4 hr drive from Denver to Aspen. Things went flawless for our pick up at the Emerald Isle. In fact the staff went and got two vans for us to save us dragging all of our ski equipment from the bus drop off to the vehicles. I got also got very good rates for the vehicles.\r \r One complaint I had was that one of the vans seemed to have warm weather and not snow tires and slipped quit a bit on slick snowy roads. I had planned to refill the vehicles before i got back but due to traffic we were running too late to do that. The staff waved the refill cost as compensation for the traction issue. My kind of Company. more

After arriving at the Rental Car pick up location in Denver, there were two SUV's ready for me to choose from, which was great. Unfortunately, the one that we chose, smelled horrible inside. We notified the attendant and just assumed he would give us the other one. He was very apologetic and gave us a free upgrade to a larger SUV! It is always easier to point out the things that didn't go well, so I wanted to make sure to submit a review, where the initial experience wasn't positive, the customer service more than made up for it!\r I wish I remembered the gentleman's name to list it here. His service kicked off my wife's and my 10 year wedding anniversary vacation on the right note! more

Rented a car for a 4 day ski trip to Frisco from the airport in Denver. The Emerald Isle enabled us to get a Chrysler Van for low price. This was great because we didn't have to ever take the ski's out of the van at night.\r Plenty of room for 6 passengers and cargo ! National was awesome through the whole process ! more

Our family rented a standard car from Denver- we are part of the Emerald Club- we were very pleasantly surprised with our options when we arrived! We were able to hop into a 2015 Siverado Crew cab with 4WD for our drive to Breckenridge! awesome!! National also came through in a HUGE way when after driving 2 hours to the slopes we realized that we had left one of our suitcases in the rental parking lot!! National found us a courier that drove it up to us- fantastic!! Excellent vehicles surpassed by incredible service. Thank you National Car Rental for saving the day- we are loyal customers for life! more

Our company just recently changed the preferred rental car service to National.. my first experience was excellent! I had many years with the previous service without any real complaints, however I really noticed the difference in the friendliness of those interacted with and the automated notifications. Most of all I loved the ""pick your car"" option... that was nice! more

I love National and like being able to pick out my own car. The only issue I have is at Denver International Airport. The cars are usually dirty on the inside and this last time I had a new experience. I was about a mile away when I realized the gas tank was just over half full. I have never rented a car there and the tank wast filled prior. I was running late so didn't turn around but the team at the Denver Airport is very sloppy. more

Being a member of the Emerald club is great! No waiting in line, just walk down the isle, pick out the vehicle you want, and drive off. When you do a lot of traveling and time is important, you can't beat this deal. more

I recently rented a car in Denver from National as a Emerald Club member. The time and speed in obtaining a vehicle was extremely quick and effiecient. amazing good job to National for a speedy process. \r I did have one issue. Shortly after driving away from the agency, I was trying to adjust temp in the car and the modern electronic dashboard had me fumbling; I weaved on the road as a result. I was pulled over by a State Trooper. He asked for my rental agreement and I realized I did not have one; because the Emerald Club cuts that out of the process which is good; but I had no document in the vehicle to prove I rented the car except a National advertisement document. It was booked by another person so I could not even show him the electronic reservation. anyway, maybe National should place something in the vehicle to provide the ownership info. DOnt go back to 5 lbs of paperwork. Just be aware of this. Thank you for the great process improvement. \r John Lehman more

The 4 of us arrived at Denver Airport Friday night close to Midnight. The Airport desk was closed so we boarded a National shuttle bus that was waiting outside. It was cold that night. At check-in we were directed to the Emerald Isle and told to pick a car. We selected a brand new Black Camry. It had a spacious trunk and only 300 miles on it. We excused that it had some snow and ice on it and were thrilled that it was warm inside.\r What a nice touch. As we drove to our hotel we were amazed at how much ice came up off the road and froze to our wheel wells creating fender birds. We don't see that too often being from Southern California.\r The car was great and the sound system was too. Turn-in and the ride back to the airport were expedient (as usual) helping us get to our boarding gate in time. We Love National and Emerald Isle. more

They lost my car when I returned it. I've rented countless times from National, and am an Emerald Club Executive. You can drop your car off and leave, and they return it for you. I did that, except they never returned it, and I had to call repeatedly to get them to go find the car, confirm that I hadn't stolen it, and not charge me for them not returning it. Also, the tires were fairly bald, which is kind of a problem when driving around Colorado in the snow. Next time I might spring for a 4WD SUV. more
