I first got LASIK surgery with Dr. Mandel in 2000. When I woke up in the morning and saw the clock from across the room clearly, I felt I had just witnessed a modern day miracle! In November of 2010, I had an upgrade with perfect results. I can swim with my eyes open! I am so thrilled with the results! more

I had LASIK eye surgery with Dr. Mandel and had a wonderful experience. I was quite nervous about the processors, but he had done the surgery on my husband who was so happy with his results it convinced me to move forward with Dr. Mandel. One year later I still have 20/15 vision. I trusted Dr. Man del's expertise but his bed side manner and the friendliness of the staff won me over. more

Dr Mandel and his team are wonderful! They are consistently efficient, friendly and welcoming and make what can be a fraught experience comfortable and panic free. I saw Dr.Mandel for PRK LASIK in Dec 2010. My surgery went really well. I did each eye separately over two weeks. Both times Dr. Mandel himself performed the procedure. It was painless, thorough and quick 60 seconds.It's been 4 months since the surgery and my vision is perfect with zero side effects. Dr Mandel was involved throughout the whole process from testing to post surgery follow up. He also has a great attitude and makes you feel very comfortable. His staff are excellent as well. They provide excellent and easy to use written directions for the various drops after the surgery. more

I recently got PRK with Dr. Mandel about one year ago at this point, and the experience was wonderful. He let me know well in a advance what to expect with the procedure and the recovery, so I was prepared for everything I went through. The week immediately following the procedure was uncomfortable, and my vision was still a bit blurry, but the doctor had let me know in a advance that this was normal with the first week of PRK. By the end of the first week, my vision was already nearly as good as it was with glasses prior to the surgery, and it continued to improve. I'm now seeing 20/20 in my left eye and 20/15 in my left! Overall, the experience was wonderful, and I would not hesitate to recommend laser eye surgery in general, and Dr. Mandel in particular, to anyone who is currently unhappy with their vision. more

Dr. Mandel and his colleagues provided me with an exceptional LASIK experience. They were kind, professional and efficient. The offices are clean and comfortable and the staff works hard to keep the flow of patients steady. There is very rarely a wait. The LASIK itself was surprisingly speedy and relatively comfortable as well. Dry eyes afterward were an expected side effect that abated within a month. I could not be happier with the results. I am 20/15 in both eyes and enjoy some of my favorite activities like swimming and skiing as never before. I would recommend Dr. Mandel and his staff to anyone. more

Incredible. Dr. Mandel took great care of me. He explained everything in advance so I knew exactly what to expect. One of the best things that dr. Mandel did was to talk me through the entire procedure. He counted out how long each step would take which actually helped me to relax. The procedure was painless and surprisingly quick. Results were amazing. Can not believe it took me so long to have the procedure. Life changing! Fantastic! more

When I learned that I was a candidate for LASIK, I was still very reluctant to go through with the surgery. However, Dr. Mandel was very patient with me and answered all my questions. I was very hesitant to get eye surgery but my friend recommended Dr. Mandel after her wonderful experience. I am so happy that I had the surgery. Dr. Mandel and his staff were amazing. They eased all my worries. I felt like they really cared about me. The results are great. After thirty years of using glasses and contacts, I no longer need either. I have recommended Dr. Mandel to all of my friends and colleagues that use glasses. Every time I come for a follow up they are still caring and friendly. This was the best decision I ever made. April 2011: It has been over ten years since Dr. Mandel and his staff performed LASIK surgery on me. Before the surgery I was very nearsighted and for twenty years could do nothing without glasses or contact lenses. I needed 6.5 diopters of corrective lenses. I have not needed glasses or contacts since the 15 minute surgery. My vision has been nearly perfect ever since the LASIK treatment. Reading, sports and all other activities are better or easier than before. My mother and two of our coworkers have also had the procedure done. My only regret is not seeing Dr. Mandel sooner! more
