April 2011: It has been over ten years since Dr. Mandel and his staff performed LASIK surgery on me. Before the surgery I was very nearsighted and for twenty years could do nothing without glasses or contact lenses. I needed 6.5 diopters of corrective lenses. I have not needed glasses or contacts since the 15 minute surgery. My vision has been nearly perfect ever since the LASIK treatment. Reading, sports and all other activities are better or easier than before. My mother and two of our coworkers have also had the procedure done. My only regret is not seeing Dr. Mandel sooner!
