My experience with Dr. Mandel and his staff during the entire end to end process of getting LASIK was great. The doctor and his staff are extremely professional, helpful, and genuine. Best of all, they deliver results. I have had glasses since I was 4 years old and now I see 20/15 better than I ever saw with glasses or contacts. After years of hmmming about laser surgery, I finally did it and I only wish I had done it sooner! Everyone at Mandel Vision is awesome, from the time you walk in the door to the many post op visits. I used to wear 7.0 toric contacts and now, 3 months after my PRK I am seeing better than 20/20! This process exceeded all expectations and I can't thank the team at Mandel enough! more

I was practically disabled without super special and expensive Toric lenses which scratched up my chronically dry eyes and special order glasses that distorted my vision like a fun house. I'd be worried to lose them swimming or biking or kayaking . . I would be left helpless. After a 15 min surgery, I could walk across a street without getting hit, get around, drive legally and see my daughter's face with my own eyes. Now I am seeing 20/30 and fully functional. Surgery was great, no pain at all, just minor discomfort for approximately 1530 seconds per eye, the doctor and staff are very helpful in easing any curiosity and/or nervousness that might be had before and after. recovery is very straightforward and quick and the results are amazing. more

If you are looking for the best Laser Eye Surgeon in New York, please don't look any further. Dr. Mandel was recommended by my co-workers, many of whom had laser surgery through him. I feel extremely lucky to have been referred to him - scares me to think I might have trusted anyone else!\r \r Dr. Mandel and his wonderful staff have the utmost patience and commitment to each person to provide the best care and expertise in this field. I quickly realized this after my first consultation and proved to be true to the very end. \r \r I've been wearing contact lenses for almost 20 years and apparently that wreaked havoc on my eyes! So after 6 months of only wearing my glasses and after 3 consultations in-between, it was determined that I was not an ideal candidate for this procedure. Although I was extremely disappointed, he laboriously took the time to make this decision and I completely trusted his assessment.\r \r The technology he uses for the testing is truly state of the art as well. I have a hard time believing anyone else would be this meticulous and conscientious. Dr. Mandel and his staff really gave me the time and effort to make this work for me and I was deeply appreciative of that. They knew how badly I wanted this! Anyway, we decided to wait for this new technology coming out in the next year and I'm hopeful it will happen then! more
