Went in last week to look at pool tables and dart boards. I was pleasantly surprised at the huge selection of pool sticks, tables, and game accessories that they had. I am considering buying my husband a pool table for Christmas this year, and they had a wonderful selection of pool tables. Once I explained to Ron, the guy who was helping me, that I was unsure what exactly I wanted, he took the time to explain the different options to me, showing me all of the different colors and designs that are available, and making me feel much more at ease with what I was looking for. I didn't know there were so many options! When I am confident on what I want to get, I will most certainly be back to buy a pool table from you guys, thank you for all of your patience and help Ron! My pool table seems brand new. The team from Long's arrived in DC on time and took the rails back to Va. for renewal. They returned as promised on time , rebuilt the table and recovered it. In addition, various items that I had asked for were provided as requested. Subsequently they followed up to make sure that I was satisfied. I would use them again. I just left Long's Billiards and I have to say what a great help Ron was. I was looking for a case for my darts and ended up getting a great case, and a new set of darts too. He explained some of the newest accessories and let me try out several sets of darts before I figured out which ones I liked best. I just started playing pool too. After a few minutes talking about that I had to get a new cue and a case for it. Found a cue in the discount rack that I love and he hooked me up with a used case since I am watching my budget. I just had my pool table recovered with semonis 860. The installer, Logan, was very professional. He serviced my table as if it were his own and made sure everything was exactly right. I'm telling you, this was one of the best serv ices I have ever experienced. He painstakenly made sure that my table was level and that the rails were straight. He was neat and cleaned up all the cut off cloth and staples so that it looked like he wasn't there except for the great way my table now looks. I have had some interesting experiences dealing with contractors, and I have found that most companies are reasonable to deal with. Long's Billiards is no exception. Servicing a billiard table involves dozens of details, hard work and technical proficiency. With 53 years of history, Long's brings a lot to the table with their know how and in addition they are competitive and efficient. Certainly an occasional bump in the road occurs, but I have found that Long's is ready and willing to make appropriate adjustments where necessary. I will definitely use them on my next job. more

I was impressed with Longs from the moment I called. As I was calling different billiards businesses, I contacted Chris, who was eager to beat everyone else's prices. And he did it! The guys that came to move my existing pool table were on time, professional, and efficient. They explained everything to me that they were going to do, and true to their word, the table was built perfectly! If I can offer any advice to those who want to purchase a new table or move an existing table from one room to another, it would be this: don't waste your time calling anyone else. They called before they showed up to let me know they were on their way and were very polite about my house and everything. They quickly got to work and set up my 9' slate pool table. It was very quick and they were very helpful whenever i had a question. I would recommend Long's Billiards to anyone who wants a table set up. Pros: null Cons: null more

When Long's covered my table in green they ran out of the light green so they decided to finish the job in dark green. I wished I had noticed. I would have made them do it all over again. It doesn't look that bad but for the money they charge i wish they had done things right. more

I have NO idea how these people stay in business! They are HORRIBLE! At the end of June my husband called to set up a time to have our pool table moved. After giving them ALL the information needed they were promt to charge our card for the full amount of $600 that day. One week before the move I called to cancel the move seeing as we had some floor damage and needed to repair it before the move of the pool table. After explaining to Shaunte and telling aking her to refund my card and we will call her when we are ready to move the table again. After getting my bank statment this week we see that the $600 was not returned. After placing a call to her she said "oh I guess I forgot". Like it was no big deal. This is also a person who called herself a "manager". Still needing our table moved we set it up again (them charging my card AGAIN before refunding me for the unrendered service). After 7 phone calls from them asking THE SAME QUESTIONS over and over like "What kind of table is it, what size, what address" and on and on. We were given a "window" of 9-11 for pick up. At 8:30 this morning they called again asking the same questions and said they would be there on towards the 10-11 range. Just recived a phone call stating "uhh we just got on 64 we should be there by 12". After taking the first part of the day off work this is a big problem! I called the store and good ol' Shaunte the "manager" said she didn't have and answer. After showing up they were still not prepared! After paying an extra $100 for a recover it was scratched out on the invoice and was charged! They are the WORST and I recomend to avoid them at all cost! more

I wish I would have read this other review sooner. What a nightmare this has been. A simple move and reassemble job turned into a two week evolution with nobody returning my calls (they charged my card before they started so they already had my money). Customer service absolutely horrible! They are also way over priced. I had to reschedule 3 different times. My move cost me an extra 400 dollars in the end. What a rip off, DO NOT CALL LONG BILLIARDS!!! If they say they'll be there at 4, count on 7 with no phone call. more

This place is a joke ! We have had excuse after excuse as to why our pool table remains partially assemebled. They provide horrible customer service, and they know they can. They happen to be a BIG Brunswick dealer. Whatever you do - do not give Scott Long a penny. He and his company are full of empty promises. AVOID them at all costs. more
