Gary's Plumbing and Heating made the fix the easiest as possible for me because of the holidays, and I was extremely happy. The first thing is that I had a hole in the pipe and the first thing they did was went and took a look and questioned where the pipe went. All the pipe was doing was providing water to the outside spigots, so he turned it off and the leak stopped; I can wait until spring to fix it. I also asked him to look at the pipe under the sink and was told that it wasn't the pipe but the faucet. They said there was one on the truck, but that cost $550, and they told me I probably didn't want to do that. I agreed. All they charged me for was a service call. I expected a bill for $200 bill, and it was less than $50. That was my second time using them, and making appointments for service is excellent. I had told them that I'd have to leave the house at some point and gave instructions, and they said they would call. The gal on the phone I spoke with said he was finishing a job and would call when he's on his way. I was on my way home and made a stop, and they were there at the Quick Stop. I saw him and asked if he was on his way--and told him to follow me. They did everything perfectly. more

We were notified by the city that our water bill had astronomically risen, and we should call a plumber because we must have a leak. Indeed, the pipe had failed between the city's meter and our house. Gary's Plumbing was highly recommended when I put the word out to friends, relatives, and our neighborhood website that I was looking for a plumber. Gary's technician, Jimmy, arrived as soon as possible, and began work immediately after giving us a cost estimate. And, this was all done in the snow and a temperature of 20 degrees. The water was shut off during the process, but thankfully turned on again when they finished with the primary repair. I was impressed and pleased with the diligence, knowledge, and speed to finish the work within the day. Impressive to me too was the care taken to replace the plantings that had to be dug up to access the problem area. The next day, Jimmy returned to install a water pressure regulator and discovered a leaking and corroded water heater. Out with the old heater, in with a new. No problem for Jimmy, whom I consider to be a genius. It was done within the day. All the while, Jimmy wore orange booties over his shoes while working in the house. There was no cleanup needed in the house or yard when the jobs were finished. I know nothing about plumbing. But I know that Gary has good people with solid work ethics and communication skills, good manners and consideration for the homeowner's property. Thank you Gary's, and thank you Jimmy. more

My wife and I recently bought our first house and we had heard so many good things about Gary's Plumbing & Heating, we knew they would be our first stop when we needed plumbing help. Sure enough, our water main failed between the city's meter and our house, and we were on the hook to fix it. Gary's technician arrived in less than thirty minutes, and started working to fix our problem immediately. He was upfront about the cost to investigate the problem, and once he found the problem, he explained it (and possible solutions) very thoroughly. I felt completely at-ease with the entire process. We were presented with two options to repair the problem, and the technician went over and above by communicating with the city on our behalf, providing necessary tools and documentation for the new equipment he installed, and returning to our house to check on the repair. In addition to being clear about the price, and performing excellent work, the technician was very respectful of our home - he wore shoe covers inside our house, and checked our fixtures for pressure. We couldn't have been happier with the work performed by Gary's. Though we do not look forward to future plumbing problems, there is no question in our minds about who we will call when they eventually arise. Thanks Gary's! more

I called Gary"s Plumbing on an extremely cold December day, With frozen pipes creeping towards a $ 1,200.00 newly installed hot water heater, I was in panic mode. I am a home owner with a family who is not afraid to attempt my own home repair on occasion, but sometimes things are out of my league or I am out of time to repair an issue and it is time to call the pros. I replaced my hot water tank and did ok with the basics but needed an expert to finish the job right, which they did in no time. My family came home to hot water that night! Glad I called them. more

I enjoyed working with Gary's Plumbing and Heating because they were honest, they were neat, and they communicated well. We had our bathtub faucet fixed. They took care of part of it quite easily but part of the issue was due to the age of plumbing. I will go back to them in the future if I need plumbing help. The price they charged was very good. I called and said the problem was slow draining toilet,was told basic service charge of $39 plus any work to be done which was ok.Then at visit told that charge would total $287 to use manual auger to clear toilet.I declined,bought a manual auger at Hardware sales for $10 and cleared it myself. Service plumber was very courteous and understanding,but I think when calls are taken on phone you should say what the minimum work charge will be if itoilet can be easily with the manual auger.Sure,if you need to bring out the power auger I can see more expense,but $287 for a quick manual cleanup?Really? more

I have used Gary's since moving to the Bellingham area in 2009. They have worked on my plumbing, repaired, and later replaced my furnace. And always, they have been helpful, timely, and done the work for a fair price. For a time I managed my senior housing community and I always recommended Garys when any of the residents asked for a referral. I have never heard of anyone not being satisfied. more
