""Buyer Beware!"" Owner, Micheal Rich of Executive Eyewear tries to razzle, dazzle you with his ""trust me"" attitude, and scribbles over inflated figures to impress you that you are getting a deal. After he wheels and deals by promising he can do anything, and you give him other optical jobs, he is shoddy, misses promised deadlines and even tells you that his memory is perfect and that you are wrong and mistaken if you cannot see out of two pairs of eyeglasses that were supposed to be made the same -- one for dress and the other for casual sport use. I gave him $1107 -- I had trouble with all three sets of eyewear. He missed crucial deadlines for vacation, and lied about lens that were of different strengths when they were supposed to be the same (I had another optometrist confirm this) so I can wear them in the evening to drive. The one that I came into the shop for was never made right. Therefore, I lost $585 which he refused to make right. He gets a bad attitude towards a customer whom he refuses to make right a service for which they are paying high prices. He is very arrogant, hostile and combative threatening to throw you out of the shop, to which many reviews seem to attest to. I have never been treated so badly -- a farce for a Pittsford location. Nice looking shop, but BUYER BEWARE! The owner is deceptive and arrogant behind his overly ""trust me"" initial demeanor.\r more

Horrible Service and Overpriced. You'll get your overpriced glasses not when promised, but weeks or months later. There will be all sorts of excuses - they sent the wrong lenses, they just weren't right, etc. Don't believe - Michael just doesn't know how to make and keep a commitment. I've talked to quite a few people who've made purchases here, and I've yet to find one person who got their glasses when and as promised. There are better choices. more

The glasses that I bought from Executive Eyewear are the only pair of glasses that have worked for me. I have no problems seeing distance and reading with them. I have bought glasses from other places and they did not work. I could not read with them. I love my new glasses from Executive Eyewear!\r more

Great Shop 5/18/2012

Executive Eyewear is a great shop. They have a wide variety of different glasses to choose from, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very competitive. I highly recommend this place. more

wow did i get lucky 4/2/2012

Really feel lucky that I didn't buy glasses from Michael Z Rich....what a jerk. Simply asked about prices, and he flew into a rage, screaming about quality, cheap people, and told me if I didn't want to buy I ""get the eff(but he said it) out of his store!"" Hope you don't last long pal. To all: check out google places reviews...hair raising! more

Most unique eye glass selection 10/11/2011

I can honestly say I'm disturbed by these reviews. I have been purchasing my eyeglasses from this store for about five years now and have never encountered such problems. I can't even imagine Mr. Rich screaming at an elderly woman or taking the time and energy to follow her across the parking lot screaming (seems quite dramatic and embellished maybe?). Anyway, the glasses here do take a bit longer to make then most places I agree BUT he does use some special digital lens that helps me see like I'm 19 again! I dare you to find such quality anywhere else. However, my absolute favorite thing about this place is their selection of frames. I can be there for hours and always find multiple pairs that I fall completely in love with. His selection is always fashion forward yet functional. It definitely appeals to the fashionista yet busy working mom in me. If you are looking for cheaply made ""disposable"" glasses then this is clearly not the establishment for you. The owner has on more then one occasion referred to their glasses as ""art"" and you'll never go anywhere else once you become overwhelmed with the compliments you are sure to get from your new spectacles. more

AVOID AVOID AVOID 7/6/2011

Worst business I've ever encountered!!! I ordered (and paid for) glasses and told Michael I needed them before I was going on a 7 week vacation. He assured me that would be no problem. It took over 2 1/2 weeks... and they had the wrong lenses in them. Another few days wait for the correct lenses. Finally they were done and I went to get them and the first day I had them I noticed the side piece of the frame had several cracks at the hinge (Michael had over tightened the hinge screw). I took them back and Michael said it shouldn't be a problem and I should just wear them as it was only a small crack and hard to see!!! I told him that they had to be replaced and I would not wear them. Michael was RUDE, ABUSIVE, and then accused me of breaking them. We got into a shouting match. It took 2 weeks to replace the frame (by then I was out of the country on vacation). I returned from vacation and when I went to pick them up I noticed the lens was cracked!!! He cracked it screwing the frame to the lens. Now it's another 2 week wait... more

Yikes! Worst Retail Experience Ever... 5/12/2011

I purchased glasses from Executive Eyewear on the recommendation of my Optometrist (who was leasing space in his store at the time). By the date they were ready (9 weeks later), everything went wrong. Of course, he blamed my problems exclusively on the Optometrist who prescribed the glasses, and took no responsibility (the Doctor booked it weeks before). He went into a rant and I knew immediately that this was not going to ever get resolved. And it didn't. And it won't. I think he likely wrote the 5-star review himself. If I could award no stars, that would have been my choice. more

You cant believe everything you hear 3/18/2011

I am a long time patient of Michael Rich at Executive Eyewear and was absolutely shocked when I read these reviews. Michael is the most dedicated, loyal and passionate individual regarding his business and his patients that I have ever come in contact with. I have been to several different stores that have not been able to help me in the least. Within the first visit to Michael I knew this was the right place for me. My glasses were made perfectly to my specifications and have been since. If there has been any type of issue Michael has always been more than willing to listen to my concerns and has always made sure I have left his business happy. Of course there is a longer wait time than an hour or sometimes a week. Everything is done in house with his own hands (or Randy Rich-his father) everything is custom made of course its going to take a little bit longer. However, I have never had to wait longer than what I thought was an appropriate timeframe to receive my glasses. He has been in this business over 10 years and it shows. He knows what he is talking about and I have never once had a bad experience with him, even when I was his new patient he treated me with the utmost respect. Several of my friends and family members go to him as well and I only have heard great things regarding his behavior and professional domineer. \r I have been in the store a few times when he has dealt with problem customers and I witnessed the exact opposite than what I have read in these reviews. These customers conducted themselves in a completely irrational manner and in my opinion Michael handled himself very well considering. Shame on anyone for complaining about a man who will do anything to make his customers happy. \r more

DO NOT SHOP HERE! HORRIBLE SERVICE. 8/31/2010

Michael from Executive Eyewear is a disgrace to the service industry. I just received a hysterical phone call from my 70 year old mother who was screamed and yelled at by Michael, then thrown out of his store. I doubt anyone needs to read anymore, because frankly what could a 70 year old woman do to deserve that, but I'll go on anyways. After hustling my mother and selling her ""$250 frames for the great price of $175"", my mother mentioned that she had seen the frames online for around $100. She said that she was fine paying more for his service, but had asked him to split the payment in two... one charge immediately for the frames, and a second charge in a few weeks for the lenses once the glasses were ready. She needed it split up this way for insurance purposes. Michael agreed, but then charged her credit card for the full $600 amount. My mother didn't notice this until the next day. When she went back to the store to ask him to refund the lenses and charge her later (as previously discussed) he became beligerent, started screaming at her that he ""didn't need her business"" and she was ""not welcome in his store."" My mother is about 5'2"", and this disgusting excuse for a man got right up in her face and screamed at her to leave (apparently he was offended when she mentioned seeing the frames online for cheaper - EVEN THOUGH she said she was fine paying his price for the personalized service). He actually made my mother cry, and chased her out the store, screaming at her all the way across the parking lot until she got in her car, where she called me in hysterics. Clearly this man has issues and I can only hope there was something legitimate going on in his life to prompt such anger (because it could not possibly be because of this one customer interaction!)... but no customer... particularly a nice, respectful older woman, deserves to be treated like this. I truly hope no one will give this man their business. He doesn't deserve to be in business at all. more
