Elmer's One Hour Air Conditioning

Wish I could give less than 1 star. I will never recommed your company, in fact, I recommend people call someone else. I called on labor day around 9am to your 1-800 number when our AC went out. It was 98 degrees that day. I was promised that someone would be out between 1 - 3pm. At 2:40 no one had showed up. I called the 1-800 and the representative said she sees the appt and transferred me to the local office. The local office representative came on verified my address phone number etc (she provided to me) and stated that they didn't receive the appt. Then she transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor stated that they tried to call me at 11 but the number I gave was incorrect. I told him that the previous rep read it to me as soon as I came on and that it was correct. He then gave me several other "facts" that I was able to refute based on conversations with the previous representatives. He became frustrated and finally just said it didn't matter, since the local office never talked to me the appt was never confirmed. They could have someone out by 10pm and that I would have to pay for the visit (the gaurantee was not valid). I called the 1 800 back and they said that the appt and gaurantee are up to the local office and there was nothing they could do about it. more

Had a total of 6 or more people in my home just to replace the air handler. Install crew damaged the door around the in house handler. Spoke to someone at their location and they seemed to have no information about my job. Still have a squeak when the air kicks on in the home occasionally. Wasn't able to find or resolve this issue. Replaced the thermostat 3 times before finally getting one that was close to the correct reading. Will not recommend. more

They showed up when they said they would. The tech was able to diagnose and correct the problem quite quickly. I was pleased with both the service and the price. more

We used on time elmer due to a friends recommendation. I wish we had done more research as the unit itself works fine however the people doing the work do not seem confident in their work. On time elmer also uses a third party to seal up dry wall and Spackle and these people ruined my walls and paint on my home. The unit is constantly becoming full of water which on time elmer must come out and fix every quarter. Their work around was to install a secondary valve to move the condensation from the attic unit out via a pipe that is an eye sore. THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION! On time elmer should have resolved the issue from the start. I would not and will never recommend on time elmer to any one. The techs lack professionalism and are not detail oriented. They rush to get things done without any regard for the customer's home. Not just that but when I purchased from them they said that they are always on time or they will pay for your unit. Well we have had 4 no call no shows to date. When you mention about paying for the unit they act dumb. I firmly hold that they should own up to their own promises and pay for my unit as they have done nothing but offer empty apologies for missing appointments. Stay way from on time elmer. more

poor communication and not trusting to their word. The initial appointment was ok. Technician came out did temp repair and ordered parts. Came back few days later and installed correct part. In the process of doing so he damaged the fan which caused damage to the motor bearing. After finally getting a so call master technician to show up, he as red me that the would take care of the problem at no cost to me. They have yet to replace the fan and motor. My HVAC unit sounds it belongs in a decibel level competition. So when they ask if I would recommend them to some one........ the timeliness yes.....the rest never. more

After repeat reschedule and no shows 3+ and going 2 weeks with no AC in the summer with our house at over 90 degrees we decided to switch to John Wayne. We got better service (same day) and were taken care of immediately. With One Time Elmer we had NO service, NO anything. It was the worst experience we have ever had with a company. more

I called, a service tech came out. 2 minutes of him looking at it I diagnosed and said a new unit is needed. Keep in mind it was cold outside and inside. Sales person came out and without really looking I was given a price of $4799 to install a new inside unit. And $2000 to repair the old. Keep in mind the old unit was 30 yrs old and was also told parts would be hard to find. Added plus was my energy bill should go down. It was cold so I agreed. Well it was prompt service heat was back on, installation was really good and service techs really nice. Not sure if I could have gotten a cheaper install and don't want to know! Only negative is my electric bill has tripled since install. more

First, the request was sent to the E-mail address of Barbara Dauerty, but the greeting is to Kim/Barry. The plumbing installations done at my house were professional and thorough. The inspection was done quickly, as well, and all is in order. I would like to have had a little more detail verbally on maintaining the water conditioner. Otherwise, kudos to One-hour Elmer more

I was given an appointment and after no one showing up or calling I called and was told that the technician had a death in the family and was not able to come. I rescheduled and the second time it was supposed to be at 1:00 p.m. At 1:20 I again called and was told that the "technician had a death in the family" and was not able to keep appointment. I talked to a supervisor and they said that they would have someone out soon. When the technician did come out to my house he was very professional and serviced my air unit. I had a bad experience. Call and scheduled my appointment and confirmed. On day of every confirmed appointment, no call no show, they had over looked the appointment or had to reschedule. It took about 3 months of reschedule to finally have my HVAC system check. I was told my system needed major repair. I call Christianson Air Conditioning and was told by them all it needed was a cleaning. Will not be referring Elmer's One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning to any of my clients moving forward. more

Monday I called because my heat wasn't working, I got a gold of elmers one hour heating, there was a bit of a wait, I guess the service is so great everyone calls! Tech arrived alex t, he was amazing. Checked everything out and was friendly. He gave me a lot of options. With in a few hours I was hot! Thanks alex and elmers one hour heat. I'll keep their magnet on the fridge for sure! more

My heater went out over the weekend and I was left in the cold for 2 days thanks to a different company. I heard from someone that On Time Elmer is pretty good at keeping up with appointments so I made the call. That same day in just a few hours my heater was working again. I really appreciate it! more

On Time Elmer put in my air conditioning/heating system and Nature's Miracle water system. Since I have had the water system, my high blood pressure has been going down and it's pretty good now. The representatives for On Time Elmer are good, honest, sincere and the office staff is always courteous and helpful. Now I can relax because On Time Elmer is on the job! more
