Called for AC repair, made appointment, received two calls delaying my appointment, called another company that showed up and was repairing unit before ON TIME ELMER technican called to say he was on his way. more

I was promised by Elmer himself that my IN WRITING GUARANTEED safety checks would be preformed twice a year for the rest of the guaranteed period. Again, this is a contract IN WRITING!!!!!! They have not honored it. In fact they tried to change the terms of it and make it sound like they are doing me a favor. The people in the office give me the run around when I ask to speak to him. He's always "just left". So I went and hunted him down at the home and garden show again. He apologized and promised that he would honor all written guarantees, Of course they didn't. I went looking for him again, he had "just left" but the employees whom I filled in on the problems said they would personally hand deliver my information to Elmer. Yup, nothing. Losers. This is San Antonio, there are many other plumbing and HVAC companies to chose from. more

I have had good service when a tech repaired ac. I only have one complaint, I have been called several times since September of 2014, but advised company to remove me from call list. I no longer live in San Antonio, now reside in WA where there's a 2hr time difference, and it is irritating to get calls @630-730 a.m. This is the sixth time I have asked to be removed from call list. Please acknowledge!! more

I received 4 calls to reschedule the time of the service call. making the appointment 4 hours later than originally scheduled. The repairman attempted to slip in a reoccurring charge for the " club membership " or pay more without it. Over all charge was in excess of 300 because I chose NOT to join otherwise it would have been 265.00 . more

My relationship is with my air conditioning and heating service contract with On Time Elmer. My Plumbing is with Benjamin Franklin and my Electrical is with Mr. Sparky, according to my service contract with On Time Elmer. The latter two have never followed up with me after their initial service inspections in late 2013 and appear to be only interested in selling me products I don't need. Their pricing appears to be exceptionally high, based on other estimates that I have received. more

Manager hasn't returned call 3/14/2015

I have been a customer of On time Elmer for a few years now. Last year when they came out for my fall 2014 air conditioner maintenance, I was told the furnace coils needed to be replaced but good for a while, but the tech said he would send someone else out for second opinion. Noone called so I called back to speak to a manager and there was no Manager there. The nice gentleman took the message and as of now March 2015 they still have not returned the call. more

besides it taking a month to finish install. do not feel like they care about the customers needs once they get their money. constant calls asking you to move up the schedule that you made because they have someone ready now then not showing up ontime or at all. asking to speak with a manager multiple times but for some instance one was never available. always making the excuse of not wanting to work late because they might not have the right parts with them. just sounds like they want to work on their own schedule not the customers. on the second part of my install a month later they left trash in my front yard. i can go on but i will continue this rant when they send me another review to fill out 2nd one today. P.S the only reason they got a star at all is that the techs themselves quality of work was good. more

Poor workmanship 3/13/2015

Had ducts replaced because of dust issues. After installation, there was slight improvement but then progressively worse. It is now worse than ever. Wasted over $7,000.00. There were other issues I will not discuss. more

A/C installation 3/12/2015

We were very impressed with Jason that came out for initial visit. The two guys that actually installed our unit were great to work with. However, the office staff has been less than impressive. Due to their filing error, we missed out on a rebate of approx $470.00. When this was brought to their attention, I was then asked to lie to CPS and confirm a different install date. We have had to call and make appointments for our " scheduled maintenance ". We even paid an extra fee to be considered a " preferred" customer . After our first checkup we were then informed that a " upgraded " piece of equipment caused us to fail. We are so disappointed with less than stellar service. Once Elmer's got our money-- and it is quit a lot--- we have been forgotten about. In talking with others.... We now wished we had gone with a different company. Would not recommend this company. Their business dealings and professionalism is poor...... more

I trusted the representative when he said I needed a new system and now I don't trust the whole company. 3/11/2015

They used a very clever tactic to sell the AC for one thing - preying on a dumb, vulnerable woman to start with, having dealt with her husband before who was not pleasant. As soon as she said, "yes", they wasted no time in getting to the task that very day so it was too late to do anything about it. They sent out a "quality control" person to check it out. Sounds really professional. It was to finish and repair what was started. When asked for paper work on the work done, the guarantees/warranties for the equipment and service - still waiting although I have been assured that it was being gathered up. I am very reasonable but this situation is very unacceptable and I will be addressing the BBB soon as well as letting everyone I know on Facebook, etc. how Elmer's operates. more

all sales, no follow-through. front office doesn't take care of business 3/10/2015

scheduled appointment at home show. changed several times, they called at last minute to cancel, etc. Got tired of wasting my time and wrote them off. Decided to give another chance at the next year's home show... told them about my negative experience & they said they wanted a chance to prove themselves. Like throwing good money after bad: same problems. Now I'm wasting time on a review... Will I ever learn? more

Very expensive. They do not return calls and have not sent an itemized bill after numerous requests. They did not give any instructional manual for a water softener that they installed. The water softener was not set on a pad or new surround built for the water softener. The product and service does not match the price they charge. more

lousy customer service, unresponsive management 3/8/2015

customer service scheduled repairs three weeks after I called for water leak. three weeks for a water leak? in a follow-up with the same customer service rep, the customer service rep promised a tech would appear at a certain time. the tech did not show up because the customer service rep did not put in on the work calendar. in a previous request for my feedback, i wrote about this and said management should apologize for this. no word from management whatsoever. the previous owners were very responsive, but the new owners apparently do not care about following up with customers. NOW AN EX-CUSTOMER!!!!! more
