Very dissapointed in my delivery service. first i was called and told that delivery would be between 11 am -3 pm. then I get a call at 11 saying they are on thier way. Show up right at lunch time... 3/5/2014

Service was average at best, will not recommend and was not happy with my delivery service. RESPONSE FROM Dick Van Dyke Appliance World: I do apologize that you feel our installer was not prompt when coming to your home. For the safety of our installation team, they do not use their cellular telephones while driving. When they arrive to a customers home, they will return any calls that may have come into them and also check and return voicemails regarding customers. I do apologize that you did need to spend so much time cleaning up after our installer left. For customer satisfaction, I will be returning your delivery charge of $39.99. Knowledgeable salespeople 3/3/2014

We worked with Jeffrey to purchase a whole kitchen's-worth of appliances. He was very knowledgeable about the features of all of the models. We had gone to a larger box mart and the sales people basically knew nothing. This was a really big investment for us, so having solid advice was essential. Also - he responded immediately to our many questions on specs to be sure the appliances actually fit into our architect plans. more

Replaced new refrigerator that had required several repairs. 3/3/2014

Bought several new appliances 11/14/13. Whirlpool refrigerator icemaker did not work properly. Five repairs and two new parts later, no success. Dick Van Dyke replaced my refrigerator and they were very helpful during the process. James & Lyle delivered my replacement fridge. They were quick, careful, and very professional. Thank you gentleman. The installer on my wall ovens and cooktop, Jim, was great as well. And I cannot say enough good things about Russ, your repair technician, who attempted to fix my refrigerator. When I am ready to buy a new washer & dryer, I will return to Dick Van Dykes. more

We purchased a gas range in January 2014. The guys, Harold & Jeremy, delivered the range & had it set up in no time! We had already unhooked the old stove but they carried it down the steps for us. We are very pleased with the product & service so far. more

Happy with new refrigerator 2/4/2014

We received our new GE refrigerator on the date we were told (an order had to be placed because we wanted the bisque color). The two young men were polite and careful getting it into our house. The guys took all the tape off that held all the parts in place. But there was a LOT of sticky residue left that I had to clean off. This was probably more of a problem in the cold temperatures we've been having but it was no fun cleaning! We are very happy with our new purchase. more

Very poor service 2/3/2014

I requested a service call to repair my gas range. I was told that the technician would arrive between 1:00 and 4:00 pm, but would call at least 1 hour before to let me know an exact time. I had heard nothing by 3:30pm, so I called the service department. She explained that the serviceman was in route and would arrive by 4:15pm. At 4:20, the serviceman was still not here. I again called the service dept., but it closed at 4:00pm. At 5:15pm, the serviceman finally arrived. When I expressed my frustration about his tardiness and lack of a phone call, he became extremely rude and defensive. When he finally got to the range, he rattled the cooktop, and complained that I had wasted his time with the repair. He did not fix the burner problem but demanded to be paid for his service call $50.00. I stated that I would contact the store about his rudeness and inability to repair the problem, and if they thought I should pay that I would pay them directly. He refused to give me his name and stormed out. I contacted a sales rep since the service dept was closed, and was told that they would resolve the issue and that payment was not necessary. I never received any resolution to my repair problem. I since contacted Sherman's Appliances, they sent out a repairman (no service charge) diagnosed the problem, replaced the defective part and billed me after the repair was complete. Today, I received a bill from Dick Van Dyke for the $50.00 service call plus a $10.00 billing charge. Do not believe the fancy commercials with satisfied customers nor their promise of timely service. It is not true. BEWARE!! more

I purchased my kitchen stove on the New Years Day sale. Salesman very polite & helpful. The delivery & installation top notch too! So glad their installers are employed by DVD. They know their merchandise! more

People are nice.....service call scheduling is painful 1/24/2014

Can only give you a day they will be there, will not give you a time frame. 1st visit - They didn't have the correct part to fix. 2nd visit (a week later) - they called at 8:05pm and said they couldn't make it. 3rd visit - we will see! This will be 3 days i have to clear my schedule for the repair. Not beating the "big stores" in this area of business. The people/employees have been nice though. more

Great service of delivery of upright freezer 1/22/2014

Researched the type of freezer I wanted Dick Van Dyke ordered it in for me, delivered in a timely manner after weather delay. The salesmen and delivery man were excellent to work with. The delivery guy got the old chest freezer out of the basement by himself with no problem. This is the third appliance I have bought here and will continue to do business here everyone is really helpful and nice. more

Hopefully on my next purchase the delivery guy/installer will be in a much better mood than he was the day I received my appliance. I would have given 5 stars across the board with Dick Van Dyke, but the delivery guy seemed SO ANGRY about something when he came to deliver and install my in-wall stove that I was afraid to even speak to him. As a customer, you always remember the one bad thing and take for granted all the awesome things. To be sure, up until that point - EVERYTHING about my experience with Dick Van Dyke was awesome. more

Salesman was very helpful. Listened to exactly what we wanted. They did not have a display model of freezer that had all the features we wanted, but the salesman looked it up on the computer and showed us the information. It was pricier than going to one of the big box stores, but we liked the personal touch and dealing with a local business. Excellent service. Delivery was exactly when they said it would be. We are very pleased with them and will certainly start here when looking for our next major appliance. more

service was very poor, waited over a monrh to get resolved 1/18/2014

We purchased a whirlpool cabrio washer 3 years ago with the extended warranty. Last year the bearing in the tub went out and was replaced under warranty promptly and without problems. Last month ,(December), the bearing went bad again and the serviceman said that the parts had to be ordered. The service department then called and said it would be after the first of the year before the parts came in but to go ahead and continue to use the washer. The parts came in and they scheduled the repair but then the serviceman called and said that he couldn't get the tub on his truck and it would have to be delivered and he would do the repair once it arrived. The tub was supposed to be delivered to our home on a Monday but wasn't delivered until Thursday. The next day the serviceman came and told us that the transmission was fused to the tub and a new one would have to be ordered and someone would call us the next day. I didn't get a call so I called and the person who was supposed to call me didn't know anything about my problem so I told them that I wanted a new washer due to the problems I have experienced with my current one. She called me back later that day and told me that they would replace it but it would be three weeks before they could get one or I could go to the store and puck out a different one and they would credit me for the amount that I paid for my washer. We opted to go to the store and picked out a different washer and were told it would be in on a Wednesday or Thursday. We were then called by the service department and told that they couldn't deliver it until Saturday. We finally received the new washer a month after we first contacted Dick Van Dyke. more
