I called Curtis Total Service because my furnace was not running. The contractor added water to system and began to up sell me on service agreements. They billed me for Service Call $77, for Diagnostic $158, and $277 for balancing the system. Adding water and bleeding pipeline. An hour after he left furnace stop running. Having spent the night with no heat I called another company who repair the problem, which was a faulty primary control. System ran like a gem the rest of winter. Having tried to reach Curtis Total Service to complain, with no result, I stop payment on check. After 18 days Curtis TotalService Operational Manager finally contacted me. I told him of problem and told him I would pay him $77 for service charge. He stated that wasn't satisfactory. I sent him check for $77. This resulted in Curtis Total Service turning the collect over to Gross McGinley law firm. The lawyer for this firm had no desired to settle this issue even though she was contacted by the Pa, Attorney General Office. She was more concern with esculating the case to a Jury Trial while requesting $1000 judgment for her legal fee. more

Great Service--My company will use again! 5/22/2012

My work recently needed me to call a plumber so I called Curtis Total Service because I remember hearing their jingle in the morning on my way to work. The lady I spoke with was very nice and quickly set an appointment. The guys arrived on time and were very friendly and helped us save $50 with a coupon from the phonebook. My boss was very happy! more

Always Use! 5/7/2012

We use Curtis Total Service every spring and fall with their annual ac and heating check up, our daughter has severe allergies so every year we have our units, filters, humidifier checked out. They just installed and air purification system in our home and we are very happy. They techs are always friendly and respectful of our property. more

I contacted a plumber my friend uses first to try to fix a hot water problem in my bathroom but he couldn?t fix it. I called Curtis Total Service from their ad in the phone book. I told their guy about the problem with the hot water and he said he could fix it right away. The plumber was nice, neat, and clean. The charges were the same as the quote. If I need plumber in the future, I will use Curtis Total Service. more

Bad company in LV 4/25/2012

My hot water heater broke 2 years after Curtis installed it. Even though the heater was still under warranty, they said they would charge me $1100 to change out the old for the new even though it would only take 2 hours. This was more than the original parts+labor was. When I asked the manager to explain this discrepancy he said That s just what the price is. WAY OVERPRICED. Poor workmanship. STAY AWAY.? more

Curtis is the real deal 3/27/2012

The guys at Curtis are the real deal. I called them first thing in the morning for a problem that sprung up. I explained to them that I needed someone immediately so I could get to work as soon as possible for a meeting. In 20 minutes I had a plumber at my house and I made it in time for my 10am meeting. I have tried a few plumbers before and never got this kind of service. Call them the next time you need plumbing work done. more

Professional Service 3/18/2012

These guys showed up on time and did a very nice job. I found Curtis Total Service to be a very well run operation from arrival to clean up. As far as price, I find them no more expensive than other premium service providers that have done work for me. I found the service well worth the money. more

NEVER use this company 5/25/2011

Do not EVER use Curtis Total Service, Inc. had plumbing issues on May 18th. They charge $77.00 just to come out then wanted to charge over $400 to snake it. We told them no and to leave. Today, May 25th we get a certified letter from an attorney's office for $227. Called Curtis Total Service, and was told to talk to the attorney. We never got a bill, it?s not even been a week and I would bring her the $77 today, she said we have to deal with the Attorney. Called attorney, had to leave a message. more

They charge $77.00 just to come out to ""look"" then wanted to charge us over $400.00 to snake it. We told them no and to leave. Today, May 25th we get a certified letter from an attorney's office billing us for $227.00! I called Curtis Total Service, and was told I need to talk to the attorney. I said we never got a bill, it?s not even been 1 week and I would bring her the $77.00 today to their office, she said we have to deal with the Attorney. Called attorney, had to leave a message. Very pleased with remodel work. 4/7/2011

Curtis Total Service did a complete remodel of my bathroom. I was quite satisfied with their work and the end product. I initially decided to use them because I was impressed with what they could do when I looked up their website. While they were here working on the bathroom remodel, I had them do other projects as well. They put in a hot water heater, installed a faucet in the kitchen and a faucet in the half-bath in my basement, and reset the toilet. I was pleased with the work of the plumber. more

The workmen were fantastic! Nuisance call policy is annoying though. 4/1/2011

The workmen from Curtis Total Service were fantastic! They were polite, clean, answered my questions. The only thing I didn't like was when I called with a question about something to have them check on, the gentleman that I spoke to said that it was a nuisance call and that I would have to pay to have them check up on the work. I just spent thousands of dollars on the work, and I thought it was a little annoying to have to pay to have them check it out. He said it was a nuisance call because when they put it in, you don't have to worry about it. more

too expensive 9/29/2010

I called them due to an issue with one toilet. They fixed the one toilet but talked me into a service agreement, which gave me an inspection of all the other systems. Of course, they found the same problem wrong with my two other toilets, even though they seemed to be working fine to me. They charged 130 dollars per toilet, plus the service agreement was costly. Way too expensive! Doesn't anyone just want to do their job honestly? more

would not recommend calling this company for repairs. They have an Al La Cart pricing program and are more concerned with selling service contract then fixing program. They keep a law firm on retainer, need I say more!!! Pros: None Cons: Over-priced, bad services, worst manager. will never hire more

Over priced 1/18/2010

A leaking faucet cost me $443. They did fix the problem but I thought that they were unusually expensive. I felt that they may have been deceptive in their prices. They had to come back twice for them to finish fixing the faucet. The third time they came they finally had the right part and were able to get it done. I would not hire them again. They were right on time when they had an appointment. Cons: Rude Manager; deceptive price more
