Excellent personalized training by Suzbell I want to update my review. I participated in my first triathlon last weekend. I was the 5th place female finisher. I totally accredit that to my time in the gym with Dan. My legs felt strong during every leg of the race. I was so pleased with my results. I feel even more positive about my time at Body Symmetry after that. I highly recommend the facility no matter what your fitness level or goals are. I have been seeing Dan at Body Symmetry for a little over a month now. I've been impressed and pleased from the first day I walked in the door. I was not looking to lose weight but to increase my core strength, endurance and balance. I hate lifting weights and going to the gym. I have loved his innovative approach to training me. Every exercise we have done has been new to me and always targets more than one muscle group. In just one month I have noticed great results in my running, riding and yoga practice. A few of my favorite things about training with Dan are... 1-Every second of the hour I'm with him is put to good use. No wasted time. 2-I'm challenged each day I walk in. 3-Dan is always upbeat and enthusiastic about kicking my but:) I love training at Body Symmetry! It's truly a highlight in my week. more

Definitely Worth It 4/10/2011

7 months after having my baby and separating from the military I was in the worst shape of my life! My husband left for training and would be gone for six months, I had nothing to do but go to school and take care of our little one. So I decided it was about time to not get back into my pre-pregnancy physique but better, my basic training body. And visiting my husband in Florida in 5 months was a big motivator. I looked around town and talked to a few trainers already before I met with Dan and Anne. The ones at 24 Hr Fitness seemed too pre-occupied with something else whenever I saw them training people and the rest that I've met with were okay. But as soon as I walked into Body Symmetry it was different from all the other places I've gone to. They made me feel comfortable right off the bat. It didn't feel like they were just trying to sell me something, it felt like they really cared and wanted the best for me. All of their trainers have a Bachelor's degree from accredited colleges, so you'll be working with someone who took the time to learn instead of someone who took a test over the internet and tada, they became personal trainers. I signed up with them for two months and those two months were incredible! I train with Anne and she is PHENOMENAL! I can't say enough good things about her. She challenges and pushes me every time. Not only that, she taught me how to change my eating habits and how to eat clean (your diet is really 80% of losing weight). 2 1/2 months later, after following everything she's taught me, I am 20 lbs lighter, went from a size 12 to a size 6 and have lost 5% body fat. I signed up for 30 more sessions with Anne without hesitation. If you're ever in need of a personal trainer, Body Symmetry is definitely worth checking out. more

A++++ in Personal Training!! 8/22/2010

My workout routine for years has been aerobic exercise and weight-lifting several times per week. But having engaged in the same practice year after year I was ready for something new. I researched and interviewed with a couple of personal trainers and felt confident that Body Symmetry would help me meet my goals. The trainers at Body Symmetry have the philosophy that the client comes first. Their goal is to ensure client satisfaction by accommodating schedules and designing training plans around each client’s stated goals. Choosing Body Symmetry was an excellent decision. Training with Tassie has far exceeded my expectations for working out with a personal trainer. She is an awesome trainer and extremely knowledgeable. In only a couple of months of tough, challenging workouts, I have begun to see the muscle definition that I was seeking. Yea! I look forward to each session, although each one is truly hard work; it is a blast. I will continue to work with Tassie as I know that with her help I will certainly meet my fitness goals. more

Regardless of where you're at in your level of physical fitness or what goals you may have to achieve that, the personal trainers at Body Symmetry will tailor a program specific to you. If you're committed to getting results, they'll do everything they can to ensure your success, encouraging you along the way. I got amazing results, surprising even myself. I started at Body Symmetry because I had been a long time cardio girl, but hated weightlifting. I was very intimidated in the weight lifting areas of any gym, felt awkward and out-of-place. I wasn't overweight, but had struggled all of my life with clothes fitting correctly; my body was unproportional. I hoped if Body Symmetry was true to its name then maybe they could help me. My initial goal was weight loss, but as I witnessed the results and stayed committed to the program and clean eating, I began to dream bigger. While weight had always been about a number on the scale, I began to see the importance of body fat percentage. My biggest goal became about losing half of my body fat. It wasn't easy, especially with the challenge of an abdominal surgery and some other set-backs, but Dan and Anne Ross were there during the whole process, encouraging me along the way. Dan designed programs to rehabilitate my problem areas and if I couldn't perform one move due to an ache, pain, etc, he always offered a variation or modification so that I could keep on going. No workout was ever the same, and I used equipment I had never seen before in any gym. I never missed a session and I enjoyed each and every one. I'm excited to say that I did reach my goal, but that really doesn't matter anymore. I am most thankful for my experience at Body Symmetry because it completely changed my view of fitness and opened my eyes to the fact that we never know what we are able to do until we try, pressing on toward a goal. Motivation with results 3/28/2010

I have been to other training facilities throughout the city and have not been happy until I found Body Symmetry. Dan is very motivating and gives you all of the tools to be successful. He encourages you and keeps you accountable to achieve your goals. \r I would definately recommend Dan to anyone looking to change and improve their lives with diet and exercise!! Worth every penny 3/5/2010

If you are serious and about getting in shape I highly recommend Body Symmetry. I researched all of the personal trainers in town and chose Body Symmetry based on the education of the owner. Dan knows his stuff and is extremely knowlegable about the anatomy and physiology of the human body. During each session he explains the muscle group and the mechanics behind every excerise we do so that I have a full understanding of what we are trying to accomplish. I am working toward better muscle tone, and greater endurance so that I can enjoy my mountain bike and hikes for extended periods of time. It is refreshing to walk in to the studio and get a ""Hi Colleen how are you today"" every week. The studio and shower facilities are immaculate and there are no crowds to contend with. Workouts change day to day to challenge the body and keep it constantly adapting. Body Symmetry offers muscle proprioception massages to stimulate and help heal damaged and/or ""turned off"" muscles. As a former athlete and current college student, these workouts and massages help to reduce stress and keep me in good shape while at the same time, not taking too much time away from my studies. I'd highly recommend Body Symmetry to anyone looking for post-acute rehabilitation. I experienced extreme deconditioning from injury and illness over nearly 10 years. and then had surgery. So, I chose to make an investment in me, my body, MY HEALTH and began working with Steve Saxe. Steve is an exercise physiologist and kinesiologist with extensive knowledge. He also has that rare ability to teach what he knows in understandable terms. You receive 1:1 attention. . Steve personalized a training regiment to me and he tells me WHY certain things are part of my plan. He also lent his expertise, even going with me to buy a new pair of shoes. Prior to working with Steve, it was a task just to walk. Dan, the owner of Body Symmetry, is extremely knowledgeable of body mechanics and training, too. I'd highly recommend Body Symmetry to anyone in search of a professional personalized trainer, reconditioning, weight loss, professional athletic training. I've worked with Steve Saxe since Sept 2009 and I'm more than thrilled at results I've seen. I'm now able to do basic tasks (walking comes to mind!) and coordinate activities. Steve has taught me so much and will soon be placing me on a maintenance regimen of exercising and eating right at home. Brought me back to life... 7/27/2009

At one time I was a world class middle distance runner until a torn hamstring cut my career too short. For the past four years, I have constantly tried to get myself back to where I once was in hopes of making an Olympic Team. I made a promise to myself this last May that I would try a comeback one more time and if I failed, I would give up the sport completely and accept it. Dan Ross took me from a washed up, out of shape, former athlete who could barely break 4:30 in the mile to a completely different person who has cracked the 4:08 mark in the mile in just a month and half of training. He has also taken my body fat from 10% to a lean 6.6% in the same amount time. His knowledge is worth every penny you will pay and his expertise is something that I have not seen since I was being coached at the world class level. Dan is not a personal trainer, he is a exercise physiologist. The different is black and white. I highly recommend Dan to anyone who has serious goals and will do anything they can to achieve them. Steve Saxe is a fabulous trainer! 7/23/2009

I knew that I needed to get moving and in shape when my doctor told me that exercise is critical to my health. I inverviewed many studios and selected Steve Saxe to work with me. Training with Steve has exceeded my expectations and I enjoy each session as he teaches me about muscles and body structure in addition to helping me get in shape. One of my goals is to increase upper body strength and I am excited to see progress and feel the changes and improvements taking place. Steve provides excellent motivation, great personalized attention and he is a well qualified and educated exercise physiologist.\r After working with Steve for a couple of months I was in an accident and sustained serious back and leg injuries. I was in a great deal of pain, walking with crutches and afraid that I wouldn't be able to train for quite some time. I was happy to find out that Steve has a background working with people requiring rehabilition from injuries. Steve worked with me several times a week, got my muscles working correctly and helped reduce the pain as well as got my back in good enough shape that I was able to go on my scuba diving vacation a month after the accident. Steve Saxe knows his stuff! 7/21/2009

I have been working with Steve for only a few months but have enjoyed the personalized attention that I get at Body Symmetry. I have an althletic background but have not been finding time for excersize recently. My goal coming here was to get motivated and get moving again! Steve did a thorough evaluation of my eating and came up with a plan that is guaranteed to work if followed correctly. It all comes down to numbers as he says. I have lost 10 pounds and 3.5% body fat so far and feel great with more energy. I highly recommend this business and staff!! Great place to see great results 6/15/2009

I've been at Body Symmetry for only a month now and I have already seen significant results. The facility is great because it is one on one training and most of the time you are the only client in there during your session. Dan and everyone else there are all certified and have degrees in what they are doing, so you can't go wrong there! Dan told me that typically in a 3 month period one could expect to lose about 20 pounds and 2-4% body fat. At one month I am down 17.5 pounds and 2.3% body fat. All I have to do is make sure I'm eating properly and get a little bit of cardio in. I can't tell you how excited I am to see these kind of results and I'm sure it will only get better. It could be the same way for you! The sessions are fun and exhilarating and there is always something different to do. I want to update my review because I have been working out with Dan and Anne for 9 months now and I am so thrilled with the results! Both Dan and Anne are great motivators and accontability for me as I continue toward my health & wellness goals. They are helpful with my nutrition and keeping me on track with my cardio workoouts in addition to the strength training I do with them. They have made getting to my goal realistic and are excited about seeing me reach it. I really don't think I could have done the hard work without their support, knowledge, and training. Steve from Body Symmetry helping Peripheral Neuropathy 4/22/2009

Steve, Thank you for getting my body starting to move again. Having been diagnosed with Peripheral Neuropathy years ago my balance was poor. I kept falling down. I also needed a new knee. He got my body ready for surgery. Now he is helping me improve my balance and the rest of my muscles. Steve Saxe offers key advice to get you fit 4/19/2009

I've had a great time working with Steve and his advice has really helped me to start seeing results in my aerobic training. I'm a climber and not necessarily a typical client but Steve has been extremely helpful and genuinely interested in seeing me improve. He is also very thorough with follow-ups and makes sure that his recommendations are working. Finally, he is always available to offer further advice and answer any questions, responding promptly by phone or email. I've had a great experience and plan to continue my work with Steve into the future. more

Excellent personal training 4/18/2009

Been working with Steve Saxe for over a year and have seen incredible progress. Lost over 20 lbs, and 6 dress sizes. Primary goal was to improve my endurance running. Steve has been a pro endurance athlete and knows what he is doing. My endurance, speed and strength have greatly improved from the workouts Steve puts me through. Highly recommend Steve's services. He's knows his stuff and will get the results you're looking for. Pros: They know what they're dong Cons: Can't work out here whenever I want more
