We ate at Bijoux this past weekend for a special occasion, and while the foie gras and the sauterne that accompanied it were delicious, the rest of the meal was disappointing. The sea scallops were so over salted that we could hardly finish them. Accompanied by a bacon vinaigrette, it was salt overkill. The cheese course was laughable. One slice of an ordinary cheese on a bread ""tart"" slice. The chef needs to try a cheese course in France, and appreciate what this course means. The drinks and wine were fine, the food was sub-par. The chef came out, but did not stop at our table. We were prepared to tell him what we thought, but unfortunately we didn't get the chance. We will never go back. York Street, you have my heart in this category.
Pros: Nice wine list, good service, nice ambience, easy to park
Cons: Place was empty even though it was hard to get a reservation, food was not great, and the cost was very high.
