The management, oversight, quality control, and lack of interest in the day to day scope of work was horrible. If I was not on site I cannot imagine what the final result would have been. When it comes to collecting money though - Ben Franklin could not have been more prompt or communicative. I do not recommend utilizing BF as a contractor - they don’t follow up with the customer. I bet they have no idea what the end result is or that I am actually repairing the defects right now myself. 75 days to replace a jacuzzi with a stand up shower. IF I wanted to complete it in that amount of time I would have half assed done it myself at my speed and saved time and a whole lot of money. The sub contractor cares a lot. The issue was a mistake was made with the initial framing and we’ve been paying the price fir that error ever since. The sub will fix it and make it right but BF oversight and qualitu control should have caught the error had they been caring enough to follow up on the job every now and then. I would hire the sub again knowing what I know about his personal care for a job well done. BF only cares about overcharging and collecting. I couldn’t be more honest with my solicited response. You wanted my opinion. Here you go. more

Your estimate was higher than the competition and you didn't honor your coupon on your estimate. The customer service representative told my to check with the plumber you sent about financing. He didn't have an answer and it was subsequently rejected. I will not recommend you company. more

Eric and his helper completed the work and all is fine. I hope that you have been able to send Geoff/Kelly Nevins a report of the cause of the backup. Farmington Woods is responsible for problems caused outside of the walls of the condo. Eric said that the tree out front of the condo grew roots into the clay pipe causing the back up. Way over charge for 6” of flex hose and two fittings more

I was given a window of Noon to 4:00 PM. At 4:00, I had not heard from anyone, so I called. As I was being told that I was on the schedule and should be hearing from the plumber, the plumber called me at about 4:05, according to my phone, to tell me he was on his way. He arrived at 4:27. It would have been nice to know a little earlier that he was running a little late, so I could have run some errands. more

Way over charge for 5”hose manifold more

I am so frustrated with their "service". I just had to pay for absolutely nothing! I knew what needed to be replaced, but do not have the time or the correct part-so I called a "professional". Mistake! They just wanted to replace the entire toilet at a higher price, and then I felt like I was threatened that if they do the work and it doesn't fix it I will be out another $160! Nice customer service. Here is an idea-why not try to help the customer instead of continually talking about purchasing your contract-show that you are good before I pay you-but I ended up paying for absolutely nothing-with the manager talking about the driver coming out, etc-isn't driving out part of plumbing service? Should I have brought my toilet to you? I would not recommend their service to anyone for any reason, unless you just want an example of what poor service looks like. more

The Benjamin Franklin technicians were patient, honest, funny (at times), but serious about the sewage pipe discovery. They called the requisite contractor who came later that same week to do the work of replacing the clogged and fallen underground drainage sewer pipe beneath my front lawn. The honesty and serious steps of concern sold me more

Had a hot water heater installed and the old one removed. Great job by Brian and Vinny. I highly recommend Benjamin Franklin. Brian showed up when they told me he would. Vinny came with the new hot water heater at a reasonable time. They cleaned up and finished the job with NO problems. GREAT JOB...thanks again. more
