Extremely costly. Too much follow up. 7/2/2017

Called for a quote and replacement of shower head, faucet , and handles. Not an emergency. Plumber came out and quoted basically $600 to replace with the parts I had purchased at Home Depot. I believe the brand was Glacier Bay. I agree for the simple fact that I just wanted it done. Error on my part. As a new home owner I should have called multiple plumber's instead of after the fact. Lesson learned. Long story short-the plumber said he'd have to cut through my wall in the adjacent room. What I didn't know is that he would not repair what he cut. Under the assumption he would, I "ok'd" it. Problem 2. He broke several tiles and dry wall to remove the handles/faucet. Which again, werent replaced or repaired. He put the fixtures I had purchased and then went on to say "I'm not familiar with this brand" after I saw that it was not working properly. He then tried to explain how to "Jimmy" the fixture so it worked. I told him this needed to be fixed correctly. After almost 4 hours of trying to fix. He said he'd have to call his boss the next day to see how to move forward. I did get a call from his boss the next day and he let me know that the fixture I had purchased isn't a brand theyre familiar with and suggested I go with their brand and offered to come replace...for an additional $500 (for an $80 at most part) his claim for the price is because that's what it would have been ($1100) if I had originally done so. At this point I know I'd have to hire another plumber and pay that amount just to fix their screw up so I said ok. He comes out, replaces the glacier Bay with their brand and I thought it was over. I finally had a chance to replace the tile and what do you know- the faucet wasn't put back far enough so there is about a 1/2 gap between the tile wall and where the faucet ends so water can drip into my wall and deteriorate it. Prior to me putting tile back to cover this massive whole in the wall , I called a couple plumber's and they pretty much told me I was ripped off. And I couldn't agree more. So a month later I'm still having to fix my tub wall. And spend extra money to have someone do the job this company was originally hired to do. more

Good service - Bad business practice! 7/1/2017

Dear Mr. Gary Bell, I have been a satisfied Bell Plumbing customer (and vocal supporter) for many years. In fact, Bell replaced our water heater earlier this year and did a great job. Several weeks ago I made an appointment to have our air conditioner looked at. When I asked the person on the phone what the cost might be I was told there was a $49 trip charge and any needed parts and labor would be in addition to that with the $49 trip chart being applied to the service. When the technician arrived he proceeded to let let me know the air conditioner service would be $256. This was never mentioned when I called earlier to schedule the appointment. The technician finished the “service” in less than a half hour. I think this was more of an inspection as nothing was “serviced”. I could have refused the appointment (and been out the $49 trip charge) but with the long stretch of hot weather coming I did not feel like I had a lot of choice. From a customer service point of view this was a bad experience with Bell Plumbing. Why was I not made aware of the full cost before the truck arrived?? I left a voice mail with the service manager the day after our appointment (June 8th) requesting a call back and never received a returned call. You guys are better than this. Lighting, Ceiling Fan and Outlet Updates 6/30/2017

We typically use Bell Home Solutions and have experienced high quality repairs and services. However, Randy went one step urther today and exceeded all of my expectations and more. We wanted to have a new kitchen sink light, a bedroom ceiling fan/light, bathroom sconces with a mirror and a bathroom wall outlet installed. Randy consulted with us on our wish list, worked consistently and calmly for a good part of the day installing the various items, was flexible while we considered a few options and discussed minor issues as needed prior to proceeding. The end result is wonderful--the ceiling fan and various lights installed bring much needed updates and new light to each room and look so nice. Randy is a true professional who adds tremendous value to Bell Home Solutions. Thank you Randy for an excellent experience! more

Highly Recommended 6/30/2017

Our bathroom remodel started with a meeting with Remodel Consultant Jane Andresen , a pleasant and productive experience. Her knowledge of available products and fixtures was a perfect fit for us; it included showroom advice and a visit to our home with creative drawings and recommendations. She answered our many questions promptly and professionally. Bell tile installer and craftsman, Jesse, was our main workman handling the project from beginning to end. On time, with good daily progress, leaving the work site clean and neat . His craftsmanship was obvious as he solved problems of design and installation with ease. Field supervisor Eric Medrano kept track of progress and saved us from an embarrarssing error on our part with shower doors. Nathan Shearer handled the plumbing and we were pleased with his pleasant manner and quality work. Elecrician James Vanduzee made quick work of some tricky remodel surprises. This reads like a pretty glowing review of professional people plying their trade in the way we hoped for and it is meant to be. In previous homes we had extensive remodeling work done and recognize and appreciate quality work as done by these Bell employees. more

Feel Robbed 6/29/2017

About 20 years ago we had apartments and I only trusted Bell to take care of them. Now we had two shower cartridges in our home that needed to be replaced (an easy 10 min. job each). The tech used the terminology "rebuild the faucets" to make it sound like a lot of work and justify the high price. We paid nearly $900 for 20 min of work. On top of that he was in such a hurry that he did not tighten one cartridge enough. It leaked and damaged our ceiling below. While Bell had the ceiling repaired, I still had to paint it myself. My wife feels like we were robbed and does not want to use Bell anymore. more

You got to be kidding. I paid Bell $600 for service that was not even remotely satisfactory. (That includes your $100 scam within a scam for some kind of a discount on your overpriced services.) On the telephone yesterday I was told that this service is not under warranty. I asked where does it say that. The obviously challenged person on the phone said that the technician told me that (he didn't -- simple logic says that if he had, I would have told him to take a hike) and that it was on the Work Order which I did not see until I received it by email. I was only presented with a signature block on a tablet by the technician after I gave him a check. When I asked to have somebody come and take a look at my air conditioner which now runs constantly, makes strange new noises and does not cool the house. This is the usual practice of a reputable firm which Bell clearly is not. I was told that this would be a new service call that would be scheduled three weeks from yesterday. more

As above. Your service is great but your charges are a bit high in my mind. I would balk at $200.00 plus for routine AC cleaning/service if I didn't have my home on the market to sell and want it to be in top condition. more

Our initial call was for a bathroom remodel that required several plumbing tasks to be done before our contractor could continue. We were prepared for a long wait in scheduling' but were pleasantly surprised at the quick response time. Our contractor was back on the job two days after my phone call. The work was done in a matter of hours and was done correctly. The room was left in better shape than when the technician got here. Very happy with Bell Home Solutions. more

Zeke is a wonderful asset to Bell. He's been taking care of our swamp cooler for years. Is friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. I would recommend Bell Home Solutions with one caveat. It's just too expensive. In fact i told Zeke that I would be changing to a less expensive (and still as reliable) company to take care of the swamp cooler this fall. more

Great Service, But Too Expensive 6/23/2017

Bell Home Solutions did a nice job and they offered great service, but I found the work pretty expensive for the work that they did. They did a fine job and I appreciate their service and the hard work that they provided. I wouldn't recommend them for that reason. But otherwise, they do a good job and their work is very efficient and the staff is good at what they do. more

Not Great 2/17/2017

I was disappointed not in the installation, those people were professional. But the contractor I worked with was negligent in not getting my permit so I could be able to schedule my remediation. So that was stalled for a month. I was disappointed with the lack of a follow through. I also needed to know certain things concerning warranty and other issues. And up to the point where they got my money, it was very touchy. They were able to be in connection with me, but when they finished installing, they didn't follow through all the way. This was a hard, annoying process. They could've made things a lot easier for me. Having to take time to spend with them impacted my professional life, which made it hard to make a good impression at work. And I still would appreciate some follow up. It's not like I'm at a loss of how these things work, but I would've liked a follow up still. more

Jim Womack from Bell Home Solutions is incredible and the best plumber I have ever come across. He was communicative, competent and knowledgeable. In fact, because he was all the latter I decided to get more things done in my home due to his recommendation. The most recent service was for my bathroom. I had ordered some fixtures and bathroom faucets for one of my bathrooms. I thought he would have to cut into the wall but he reassured me and showed me how he can move around that kind of procedure which ended up saving me a whole lot of grief! With Jim, you get the whole package. more

I am quite pleased with the work done by Bell Home Solutions. I had them come out to do some basic plumbing work at our home. The work itself went very well and we have not had any issues since with the areas they worked on. I will definitely use them again if needed, and I highly recommend their services! more

I used Bell Home Solutions about 4 years ago but I do remember them and I still recommend them. I remember being really impressed with everything that they did and how they handled the business. I would definitely recommend them. They showed up on time and they fixed the problem we had right away. Everything was great and I enjoyed talking to the plumber. I think that whenever I need a plumber again I would be more than happy to call Bell Home. more
