Potentially Painful Experience Made Painless 8/23/2011

This was an appt. I was not looking forward to - among other procedures, there were two extractions. As has always been my experience at Ann Arbor Smiles, though, everthing went smoothly and I felt no pain at all. I chose sedation, which made it all very manageable. And, as always, Dr. Gray, Kendra and the rest of the staff went out of their way to make sure that I was comfortable. The quality of the care was as outstanding as usual. I love the ability to choose sedation for the more intense procedures and appreciate their state-of-the-art and compassionate care. more

Professional & excellent care! 8/21/2011

I am very pleased with the care I received both from dental hygienist, Lorenzo, and Dr. Kennedy. Both helped me feel very comfortable and immediately at ease. Lorenzo gave me an excellent cleaning and was very professional. Although I have room for improvement in my home dental care, I wasn't made to feel bad. Dr. Kennedy also treated me with the utmost kindness and respect. I am confident that I am receiving top care and highly recommend this dental practice! more

Stubborn baby tooth 8/20/2011

Dr Gray is fabulous with kids! He has four of his own, so he really knows how to communicate with 7 year olds! He made her feel really comfortable and she wasn't scared or in any pain when he popped out that stubborn baby tooth! more

Best dental experience of my life 8/16/2011

My long-time dentist retired last year and I needed a new one. I am pretty phobic when it comes to dental work so I looked around for someone who would provide a more comforting and supportive experience. I definitely found that and more with Dr. Gray and Ann Arbor Smiles. My dental visits are no longer a dreaded nightmare. I had two porcelein fillings done in one sitting. They gave me an I-Pod w/headphones and nitrous oxide, and the combination put me in a much less anxious frame of mind. And their equipment is state of art, making for a more efficient, far less painful process. Everyone on staff is very competent and exceptionally congenial. I highly recommend this practice! more

Great patient care 8/16/2011

I was very impressed by the sensitivity of the dental staff, especially of Dr. Gray. It was clear that I mattered to him; he made time for me, he personally (not an aide or secretary) did follow-up phone calls, and he gave me honest appraisals of what dental work needed to be done now and what could probably wait. I also appreciated his careful approach to my care. It was clear that he was commited to making sure my treatment was as safe and painless as possible, even when that meant taking extra time. Most striking, though, was that Dr. Gray knew his limits and was quick to ask for help when he felt that another dental professional could better provide the care that I needed. I appreciate Dr. Gray's humility in putting the good of his patient (me) before any desire to do the job himself. I feel confident and comfortable with entrusting my dental care to Dr. Gray. more

AMAZING!!!!!!!! 7/30/2011

I have had many other dentist offices in Michigan and its always the same......they rip my gums up so bad that they bleed and swell but, at Ann Arbor smiles they are AMAZING! Everything they do is with great care. I brought my 3 year old son in to make his very first appt. and they stopped what they were doing so they could take him to an empty room and let him take a ride in the dental chair, play with the light, and gave him a prize for being such a good boy! They did everything they could to make him feel comfortable so when he came in for is actual appt. he wouldnt feel so nervous! I recommend them to everyone I know! Thanks so much for the care you show to your patients and for that you have gained a lifelong patient. more
