Time and price issues. 12/16/2011

I was having my front left headlight replaced. When I dropped it off I was told it would be 30-60 minutes. They didn't get to the car until an hour later, quoted me over $50 for it and said they neede to get the part but that it should only be about another 30 min. When I questioned the high price saying I had gotten it done there before for around 20-30$ he checked again and said he had double ordered the light and it would be $40. Still high compared to last time I said ok. An hour and a half later or so I'm told it's finally ready. I pay and go out to my car and pull out my old receipt from the shop two years earlier. The lab on my first visit was $8 for the H7 lamp. This time it was $28. That kind of mark up is rediculous. My final time was also 3hrs versus the estimated max 1. I was very upset. more

Sat Morning Appointments Needed 12/14/2011

I called on Friday to make an appointment for Saturday and was told that despite the fact that they are open for 8 hours on Saturdays, that they do not accept appointments. I was told it was first come first serve. If only this were true. I arrived 30 mins prior to opening to find 2 people ahead of me. Naturally, I assumed that because they were there first, that they would go before me, and I would be 3rd. Close to opening 2 people hurried out of their cars to, get in front of the door. The two people that arrived before me followed. I mentioned to the two men who pushed ahead that the gentleman and lady had been there before all of us and should go first. The doors opened, the AAA people made no provisions to allow those that were there first to go first. When asked about this, they had nothing to offer. Disappointing, will not go back. more

Oil change 12/14/2011

Had a coupon for oil change and tire rotation $24.95. Some how you still ended up charing me $41.50. Was very unhappy about that after I got in my car and realized it went back in and asked the man at the desk and he stated I had a $20.00. The reason I came into the store was because of the $great price i thought I was going to get. I guess i will just start going back to the dealer where I can get it done for $29.00 And be sure they will bill me right. Sorry that was the bad part the service on the car was good. Places look to get business and then teeat customers wrong won't bring and recomddations from me. Stephen more

Oil Change 12/11/2011

Arrived at 7:45 on Saturday, prior to 8:00 opening. Five people were ahead of me, waiting for the doors to open. Was on my way with an oil change around 9:30. Service rep at desk was very friendly and helpful. more

Very bad experience. The associate told me it will take two hours because we didn't have an appointment. So I told him I will find some other place. He said 'no' he can try to do it quickly. Finally they found a small leak and kept us waiting 2.5 hours for the parts from BMW. If we knew earlier, I could have got the parts immediately from the BMW. We could not make another appointment on time. Just to change a small hose they charged me $95 labor. Very expensive! Very frustrating. Will not go again and will not recommend this place to any one. Not even a smile in the associate's face. Not a friendly environment. Sorry ! more

Appointment did not work 11/29/2011

My vehicle was scheduled for a 1:00 pm service and was driven in to the service bay at 1:50 pm. I was not advised that there would be a delay of my scheduled time. What was the point of having an appointment? more

Simple Oil Change 11/28/2011

I left my car at the AAA office at 11:30 for an oil change. Although my receipt says I was contacted by phone - I was not. I went to pick up my car at 5:30 and it was not ready. At 6:00pm which is closing time, I heard the mechanic say the oil change had not been done on my car yet. My car was ready at 6:30pm. Never had this type of problem before and hope it will not repeat itself. Other than that staff was friendly. A small discount was offered due to inconvenience. more

EXCELLENT and SPEEDY SERVICE!!! 11/26/2011

Had two tires replaced on my car. Ordered the tires and they were delivered NEXT DAY to AAA Car Care in Cary. Drove in and they were on and I was out of there in less than 20 mins. (Prime time, too!). Thanks to everyone for their help. These guys are all super and courteous too! joanne bisson more

I am a AAA member, and thought bringing my car in for a new battery was a good idea. $185 for a battery ?!?!?! thank God my AAA membership provided a $5 discount - and yes that is sarcasm. more

Nice and prompt service 11/24/2011

I did not have an appointment, but went to the AAA car care center in Cary in the day before Thanksgiving late afternoon for an oil change. Rhey still accepted and did it for me even though half employees were gone for the holidays. more

Car service and personal relationships 11/24/2011

Being a member of AAA for 50 years and from the West Coast to the EAst Coast I have had an opportunity to ask for, receive and am completely satisfied with the service I have rendered by the service staff on Chapel Hill Road. Richard, Chris and Sham all have been always courteous and professional. They advise me when things are wrong and needed with my car. Their work has always been without any "return" service. I know that if anything was not right AAA would remedy it immediately. Thats why I will always stay with AAA. more

nc inspection 11/17/2011

i had a 10 o'clock appointment for my nc inspection. i arrived a little early but the service people were happy to take my car right away. the staff at this AAA center are always courtious, patient and very helpful. whouldn't switch AAA centers for anything in the world. oh and my car failed the inspection...but i did receive a very good explanation as to why it failed. more

Fast Wiper 11/15/2011

I stopped by for wiper blades. My blades were not in stock, however they ordered the blades for delivery and I returned 30 minutes later. They installed the blades and I was on my way. more
