I attended a wedding reception here. The hall is large with room for more than double the 200 that were attending. The dance floor is large and the sound system is great. The rental fee is reasonable for size of the facility, however, the bar cost is far too high. Approximately $23 per person, children also. The quality of the alcohol was very low, definitely not up to the standard of what you would expect at any bar. There are no options about what brands of alcohol are available or brands of beer or wine available. The food served was adequate and served hot, although a little expensive for buffet style at $25 per person. So, if you don't mind really expensive, low quality drinks at an elegant historic building, then you should try the Valley Dale ballroom. However, don't plan on staying late, the facility closes at 11:00 pm. I would recommend a local hall where you can bring your own drinks and get your own caterer and stay as late as you want.
Pros: Good parking, elegant historic building, reasonable rental fee, close to airport.
Cons: Expensive but low quality bar offerings, expensive food, closes early.
