I've long been a customer of HSBC Bank, without much fanfare, but I can't describe how excited I was when I found out about their online savings accounts. They were started (like other existing banks) to compete with ING Direct, and the HSBC rate of interest is now at 5.05%. I find this much more convenient than using another bank's program, since I can access both my checking and online savings in one account on their website.
