Hello to you! Listen I am a Priset and have officiated many, many funerals in my ministry. I called Ortiz Funeral on 189th and Broadway area. A parishoner had passed in the Columbia Presbyterian Hosp in 168th Street. The deceased children and grand children made arrangements days and days before this mother's passing! When I called Ortiz 24 hours after they supposedly had the remains, the women who answered my call was most rude, and barely could speak two words of English. I speak fluent Spanish, and asked her about viewing and other dtails. She put me on hold so long...that I re-dialed the funeral home. This creature once agin answered and screamed that I hung the phone up, and that she had no informatiion about this deceased mother. I asked her, how can that be when the arrangements were made with your funeral home, and the body was already removed from the hospital. She returned to screaming and said in the most broken English, ""that they have no record of this person!"" Folks..stay clear of this business...they are rude to grieving family members, clergy and totally disorganized, uncaring and unconcerned.
