Booked this hotel for its convience to Hyde Park area. Spent three days, two nights in this more than adequate hotel. Staff was pleasant, courteous, and helpful. Beds great. Slept like a log after sightseeing all day. Internet worked perfectly and continuously. We were surprised to discover that room cost included on-site parking, which in this urban neighborhood is at a premium. Room was clean and had been refurbished within the last couple of years. Our room on the north side had beautiful view of the lake from the big window, but was not noisey as it might have been overlooking Lake Shore Drive. Public areas were being reorganized and exercise machines were all over the lobby. Good restraurant on-site. Wide variety of ethnic eating options available in the Hyde Park neighborhood. Seemed to have been a flood on the 2nd floor and that area was being cleaned. Felt safe and secure. Not perfect, but certainly not the hotel others have complained about in the past.
