....And I've tried A LOT of Thai food. Joom, the guy that opened this restaurant, used to run the thai restaurant in Pasadena (I can't remember the name right now) that got the highest Zagat rating ever for Thai food in Southern California. We are lucky that he chose to open Joom one block from our house. It is hands down the best and most flavorful Thai food I've ever had. Honestly, all of my former favorite Thai spots taste bland and watered down now that I'm used to Joom. I recommend the yellow curry, tom yum gai or ka soups. They have a decent selection of wines too.
