I live in Indianapolis, IN and travel to Joseph Michael's (190 miles one-way) to have JD cut and color my hair. I started seeing him over 2 years ago and will never go to anyone else. I can't begin to tell you how awesome he is. I would have never let my hair grow out if he wouldn't have been my stylist. It is usually not to glamorous letting it grow out but he made it very glamorous. Our daughter is 3 years old and he just gave her, her first haircut. I wouldn't even think about letting anyone else cut it. The owners are also very pleasant. They walk through the salon and never fail to speak. Great salon and staff! PS. I have visited so many skilled esticians and never got the results I needed. I have done every treatment including the blue peel and never achieved results. I was so discouraged and I was actually considering Acutane. This was before I met Renata. After one visit my skin is amazing! She treated my skin exactly as it needed and put me on the best skin products I have ever tried. I can't believe the results and I am so thankful that I met her. I highly recommend this salon and especially Renata for her talent. If you want results for any skin condition, she will get you there. I completely believe in her and I travel all the way from Florida just to have her work on my skin. Best regards to all at Joseph Michaels! more

I previously went all over town frequently changing salons to find a good manicurist. Then I found Irina. She is the best in the city and I have been a steady customer for several years now. She is a perfectionist and is not satisfied unless she produces the highest quality of work. Every week I leave and my nails are flawless. I would not think of going anywhere else now that I found her!! . more

Wouldn't Go Anywhere Else 1/24/2005

I have been going here for over 3 years now. Leland is absolutely the most fabulous hair stylist I have ever used. The first time I had her cut my hair, she listened to my concerns and desires and made great recommendations. The end result was the best hair cut I had ever had. She is also GREAT to chat with during the session. I have been to many salons that give you the cut THEY think you should have. Here, I get an improved version of what I want and expect. I have also gotten waxing and nails from different people. They are all fabulous. I would never dream of going anywhere else. Pros: service, experience Cons: , spa price more

Best Chicago Salon 9/15/2004

I have been going to Brian for about 2 years now and he is amazing!! Not only is he an extremely nice, friendly guy, but he gives *great* cuts. The first time I went he fixed a poor short haircut I had been given, and I absolutely loved the end product and I've been going to him ever since. I have complete confidence in his ability to cut my hair in a way that is right for me. I've got nothing but GREAT things to say about him!!!! more

Renata is the Best!! 8/16/2004

I have been going to Renata for facials for the past six months. My skin has never looked this good. She is very skilled in her field. After one close look at your skin, Renata can assess and customize the appropriate treatment for you. She is also incredibly friendly. I have tried a number of different salons in the city, and they all pale in comparison. more

Megumi is a great sylist 5/16/2004

Megumi is a skilled hair stylist and did a great job on my hair. She fixed a botched-up cut with ease and confidence. She spent 20 minutes consulting with me on all of my concerns before she even picked up the scissors. She gave me the best haircut I've ever had. I'm hooked! Best Manicure! 5/13/2004

Maggie is the absolute best for manicures and pedicures! I have been going to the salon for 5 years and now that I don't live in Chicago anymore, I still drive down from Milwaukee every 8 weeks to see James for my haircuts and highlights, and Maggie still on occasion when I can. I can't praise this salon enough- I have been getting my hair cut by Brian for about a year now and I have never been as happier with a hairstylist. Now, my whole family goes to him because he knows what he is doing, does it amazingly well, and seems to really enjoy it too. I've had the pleasure of working with a lot of the staff and they all make me feel like someone special from the second I walk in the door, they are all so genuinely nice and definately knowledgable in the feild they work in (cuts, color, nails, spa treatments, etc). Chicago's Best Kept Secret 2/22/2004

I've been going to Maggie for nearly five years... after years of bouncing around to different salons. Maggie gives the best manicures (and, by far, the best pedicures) in all of Chicago. Pedicures can sometimes last six weeks... even in the summer. Recently started going to Renata for facials and she is absolutely fabulous... my skin has never looked so healthy. I have recommended both of these women to a number of friends who all swear by them. more

I visited Joseph Michaels today, after calling earlier for a massage appointment. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I had a massage with Bobbie, and it was excellent. Only regret was that I didn't book it for more time! Great place - will definitely visit again. more

A couple weeks ago I visited Chicago and spent a heavenly 4 hours at Joseph Michaels. My extreme compliments to Bobby for an outstanding massage and facial! She is GREAT! Her hands and knowledge are inspiring! I also had a shampoo and stle by the very profesional Gordon,this guy knows his stuff !! My spouse said my hair looked fabulous!
