We have been in this house for the past 8 years, and since day one, I knew that the a/c duct work was not correct. Exactly why it wasn't correct, I didn't know but I had my suspicions. During this time I have had no less than a dozen different a/c companies advise me as to what the problem was. They all told me I needed a new air handler and compressor, which I already knew, a few suggested I add more air returns, 2 suggested I change the system to a 2 unit program, not possible due to attic constraints, but not one of these companies bothered to review the duct work SIZE. My last call was to Unique Air Services.
My Comfort Advisor, John Furdell arrived early, and we sat down to talk. I was immediately impressed with John's knowledge of the industry. His knowledge of the various manufactures and where the parts and equipment for the different companies were being made and assembled was fascinating. It didn't take long for me to understand that the unit I had researched on line, was really not the best suit for our home. Once John was able to understand my concern...that very little air flow was getting to the back and master side of the house, he immediately could see what the problem was. Originally, the 1989 house was not properly ducted; I had 3 ton duct work with a 5 ton unit. No wonder my bills were sky high. John suggested that all the air returns be changed from the floor to the ceiling, and new grill work installed through out.
We worked together for about 4 hours, but this was the best 4 hours I've spent solving a recurring problem...who to trust with my air system.
Unique Air Systems' 63 years of continuous service in the tri county area, along with their employment requirements gave me the added sense of security I needed to make the commitment and sign the contract. This was NO inexpensive process. However, in Florida, you get what you pay for, and anyone who has every written a check to the a/c repairman, and not knowing exactly what was done, if anything, know what i'm talking about. I know Unique Air Systems will be by my side anytime I have a need or question about the system. They really are Unique! With out hesitation, I would recommend this company to anyone who wants the peace of mind to know that they are getting the best a/c equipment, installers and service that money can buy. and that they are not going to be ripped off..
