Fabulous Facial and Improved Service at the Front Desk 12/19/2011

As usual, Alla is wonderful. Had such a relaxing facial and neck and shoulder massage. Alla is the best. Also, the front desk personnel have greatly improved their attitudes...no longer cold and distracted. I was greeted in a very friendly fashion and the women who checked me out was genuinely nice and helpful...really helped the overall experience. more

Gift certificate $2 charge 12/18/2011

It is outrageous to charge $2 for a gift certificate purchase. Keeping a record of it in the computer costs F & B nothing, and it is really an insult to pay for something that will be used at your spa. It reminds me of Bank of America's charge to use a debit card. I will not buy any more gift cert from you. Most spas are happy for the business, would never dream of charging for a gift certificate. more

First Brazilian experience 12/16/2011

I had my first Brazilian and the Esthetician was extremely nice and made me feel at ease. I was nervous and not sure what to expect. She took away any akward feelings I was having at the time. I was so impressed I bought a package buy three get one free and going back next month. more

Good but be careful with your booking 12/7/2011

Overall, a nice spa experience. I booked a mani/pedi for a few holiday parties this week and they only had me down for a pedicure. I did confirm the mani/pedi appointment 2 days before. They couldn't fit me in that evening so I had to scramble to find a quick place to do my nails the next day. Very disappointing. The pedicure itself was nice if not a bit pricey. more

Facial with Larrisa is tremendous. She demonstrates such knowledge and skill in a very positive, kind and caring manner. I find the staffs at the frpnt desk quite awkward, a little arrogant and nonresponsive. I particularly struggle with some of these clerical staff behaviors towards the estheticians. more

Hair appointment 11/23/2011

Had a hair appointment with James the first time. He was nice and did my hair very good. However, when he washed my hair, he and I didn't remember to use a cape, so I got wet. I did not complain to him, but might need to remind the hair stylists if they wash hair, they need to make sure the customer is covered. Luckily, I didn't get too cold, but an older person or a cold natured person would get cold. more

Terrible Service 11/21/2011

I scheduled a small group for mani/pedi's to celebrate a special occassion and a lunch prior to the services. The lunch was 30 minutes late, there was no preparation and the staff scrambled to get all the preparations done as we were eating, we only had 15 minutes to eat before the nail technicians came for our services, the services seemed to be lacking the massages that were included and finally, the payment process was confusing and disorganized with no explanation of what was happening. Everyone was uncomfortable and just wanted to leave. Very unhappy and will NOT return. more

Stopped in to purchase products and gift cards. Service level was mixed. I received excellent service from the aesthetician and check out clerk (although she should have mentioned the activation fee of $2 for each gift card - this is strange - have never had to pay to buy a gift card before!). I received poor service from another employee at the front desk who seemed perturbed that I had a question about products. He seemed bothered by the fact that he had to interrupt a conversation with another male employee to turn his attention to me. Poor attitude. In this age of high unemployment, why employ someone with an attitude problem. more

Gift cards given at Customer Appreciation weekend 11/12/2011

On Nov. ll I went to The Face & Body with the intention of spending $600.00 for gift certificates. I would receive 6 $25 gift cards. The policy was recently changed so that you could only use 1 $25 gift card per service and all six had to be used by the end of Feb. 2012. There was no way I would use 6 gift cards by then. I then chose to make my purchase $400. My point is, in the promo for Customer Appreciation state the fact as to how the gift cards must be used or extend their expiration date. more

  • The Face & The Body Day Spa & Salon was founded in 1979 to fill a vital need for skin care in the St. Louis area. Years of research, travel and advanced training in esthetics led us to create a spa offering a variety of services: facials, make-up application and instruction, waxing, manicures and pedicures, herbal wraps and massage.

    As it grew, the The Face & The Body Day Spa & Salon expanded its service offerings, including a wider variety of specialized facials and body treatments. We created an innovative and effective "house brand" of skin care products and cosmetics, Sante, initiating an on-going dedication to providing clients with effective home-care products to maintain and enhance the benefits they receive from their spa services.

    The Face & The Body Day Spa & Salons are available in three convenient locations in Brentwood, Chesterfield and O'Fallon.

The European spa facial includes a massage of the face, neck and shoulders, steam to open pores, extractions, exfoliation and a corrective treatment mask.
