First meeting with Ann, my daughter and I told her the colors of the wedding and a little bit about how we would like the flowers. Ann took over from that moment on. Having Ann of Ten Pennies do the decorating and all the flowers for the wedding was the easiest decision of the entire process. When I walked in, the rooms were not totally set up and all the flowers were waiting in another room. When I looked in and saw what Ann had done, I cried. It was so much more than I ever dreamed. I had the pleasure of having Ann transform my wedding reception into a spectacular garden of roses, orchids and other wonderful flowers. My wife and I attended the Macy?s Flower Show on Tuesday, April 6th. It was spectacular! We stayed to watch Ann Catania?s show on creative flower arranging techniques. With very few men in her audience, she asked me; ?are you in love.? I said; ?yes? and pointed to my wife of 37 years. I have used Ten Pennies for two previous family events and each affair was just beautiful. My guests always raved about the gorgeous flowers. We recently had our daughter's wedding and used Ten Pennies for the third time and as expected Ann and her crew of florists did a spectacular job. When my daughter and I saw the room she said it was all and more than she dreamed it would be. As stated by my guests, the room was simply elegant with the magnificent flowers. The chuppah, made from fica trees, was something out of a fairy tale. Every guest commented on its beauty with the hanging candles glowing on the bride and groom's face. Anna just did my nieice weddding on Sat at the Carrige House in Galloway Township ,N.,J. THE flowers were magnificant this is the 2nd wedding she has done for my family and when my youngest nieice gets married she will also do her wedding. Ten Pennies is the all time best florist in Philadelphia. The quality of the work is superb. Ten Pennies did my wedding recently and it looked like it came out of a magazine. There was not a detail missed. Everything that I dreamed about as a little girl was portrayed times 10. Ann Catania is a true professional!! She listens to her clients and what they are looking for. They seem to have the reputation of being too over priced, but that is not the case at all. When you meet with Ann for a consultation and tell her the budget you are working with she will help you to stay true to that budget and still make the wedding of your dreams come true. There is not enough I can say about this florist. It is truely the best there is and I would recommend everyone to go to them for the smallest job such as a get well arrangement to the biggest of jobs such as weddings, parties, etc.. delivered an arrangement from my boyfriend. 3 days later went to trim the stems and put fresh water in the vase. THE WATER SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING DIED IN A SWAMP AND THE STEMS AND WATER WERE ALL SLIMEY. SO BAD THAT THE STEMS WERE ALL MUSH AND FELL APART. Here, the stems were all broken half way up. The delivery packaging was not wet, so it didn't fall over in the delivery van. The arrangement was made with damaged flowers that they probably thought no on would notice. Several calls were made to the shop with promises of having the owner call back. SHE NEVER DID!!! Guess they thought I would just go away it they ignored me. Well, the jokes on them because I didn't. I filed a complaint with the B B B. The flowers were dead in 4 days. These flowers were not cheap. They should have replaced them so I could return the dead ones so they could see what the problem was. FLOWERS FROM THE SUPERMARKET WOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER THAN THESE!!! Ten Pennies just did my third daughter's Bat Mitzvah. For the 3rd time, the flowers and decorations in the room were unbelievable!!!! The flowers were the most beautiful I've ever seen, and the room had the most warm and happy feeling ever. Each time they did my party, I thought they couldn't ever do it so beautiful again, and each time I was wrong. The room was absolutely gorgeous. The kids tables were so amazing and creative. The designers at Ten Pennies did outstanding centerpieces for my son's Bar Mitzvah. When I began talking to Ann I didn't know if she would work within my budget, but she did and produced a product beyond my expectations. Til the end I didn't really know how they were going to integrate the things I bought or what the actual centerpieces were going to look like. They were gorgeous! When I walked into the room and saw the tables and how they used the netting on the tabletops as well as the pieces of netting for the center pieces, it took my breath away! Kudos to the staff who somehow made those centerpieces look like artwork! They are truly gifted and I see why Ten Pennies has the reputation that it does. Each table was unique and beautiful, the tropical flowers spectacular. It really made the room look fabulous. Ann had wonderful imaginative and creative ideas that she freely shared with me which helped me with other aspects of the party. She was essentially my decorator and consultant. JULY 2006, MY COLLEGE SWEATHEART AND I TIED THE KNOT. I AM AN EXTREME PLANNER AND ENSURED THAT EVERYTHING WAS ALL SET MONTHS PRIOR TO THE BIG DAY. WE WERE GETTING MARRIED AT THE HYATT IN PENNS LANDING AND DECIDED TO GO WITH A LOCAL FLORIST IN MY HOMETOWN OF YARDLEY, PA. THREE WEEKS BEFORE THE WEDDING, DURING MY BRIDAL SHOWER, I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS FLORIST STATING THAT MY WEDDING WAS CANCELED. Ann Catania owner of Ten Pennies Florists & Decorators did the most magnificent work I ever saw for our daughter's wedding on Saturday, December 13, 2008 at The Philadelphia Park Hyatt at The Bellevue. From the most magnificent floral arrangement on the Place Card Table in the Foyer of the Ballroom to the Grand Ballroom itself. It was exactly what we pictured and more because Ann listened to us and understood what we were trying to create. She has the best ideas and top notch employees that work for her. The table linens and centerpieces on the tables were elaborate. The flowers were purple and gold, very Regal. The balcony was drapped in sheer gold all around the room with lights. From the altar arrangements and aisle treatment, to the reception centerpieces, the gorgeous table linens, the draping behind the band, and the unbelievable place card table, they created a spectacular space for out guests.
