I have been going to Strata for years and would NEVER go anywhere else. Melanie is awesome. She know exactly what I want and gives me the best treatments ever! All the girls in the shop are soo nice and friendly!!! I HIGHLY recommend this shop to EVERYONE!! I will not go anywhere else..(well that is unless Melanie leaves.. then I will follow where she goes..) LOVE LOVE LOVE Strata!!!!!!!! Pros: BEST color and cut in WA more

LOVE the strata girls!!!? 11/22/2009

strata has an amazing vibe givin right as you walk in, the girls really know how to make you feel comfortable.. its always a fun treat to be able to come in and get your hair done and just have a good time. love all the girls there! i go to melanie, shes amazing at what she does, always knows exactly what i want and never lets me down, she has a natural talent thats for sure! although i would trust them all with my hair, ALL very talented girls! Always Amazed with the Results 11/22/2009

I have been going to Strata for almost three years for cuts and colors. The staff is incredibly friendly and outgoing, and always makes you feel welcome. My stylist, Melanie, always knows what cut and style will look best on me and I get compliments on my hair all the time. I would recommend this salon to anyone! Pros: Great people, great atmosphere, great prices more

Great styles for lots of ages 11/21/2009

I have been having Jen cut & color my hair for 7 years. I get compliments on it all the time. Jen also cut my daughters' hair during their teens and did their hair for dances. One of the hardest things for both of them when they moved away for college was finding someone who could cut their hair as well as Jen....they haven't found it yet. Pros: Great cuts & color more

Awesome Stylists 11/20/2009

The stylists at Strata are so friendly and really take the time to figure out what I want out of a haircut and color. I have seen a couple of the girls and my hair always turns out amazing! I would say if i had to list a Con, it would be that they are in high demand so booking ahead of time is usually a good idea. However, I have had quite some luck in walking in and being able to have my hair done. Check them out, you won't be dissapointed. Pros: Professional and talented stylists more

I live in Spokane for 5 years and always got my hair done by Jen. I then moved back home to Seattle and I still only come to see Jen and get my hair done. She is amazing!! Well worth the 300 mile trip!!! Pros: Fabulous Stylists and fun Atmosphere Cons: so far away from me more

am sorry to hear about your experience, but I don't believe that's at all accurate, regarding the situation the previous employees of Strata. They were not treated fairly and left that establishment for a new and better salon.To say that all the bad reviews were on them, would be ridiculous. I've noticed that the some reviews have been taken off, that have said that some people have left to follow the stylist that have left. And the only reputation that they have taken was the amazing job they have done at Strata and now are applying else where. I felt the need to respond and wouldn't be surprised if the owner ends up making a call to have this pulled off the site. It seems like that is what happens if she doesn't like what you say, which is ignorant to me. more

great salon. great atmosphere! 10/8/2009

i go and see kathryn at strata. she is always lively and listens to what i want done. if she doesn't think something is going to look good, she doesn't hesitate to tell me. when i first went to her, she helped me grow my hair out from an awful cut that i had received earlier that day at a different salon. she explained what parts needed to grow out more and went into detail on different ways to style it. since then, i have been going to her for my color also. my hair doesnt feel dry or damaged at all like it does at other salons. i love this salon. i will never go to another salon. Pros: fun girls who know their stuff. Cons: parking meters. more

I saw Keilah and she knew exactly what I wanted when I came in. This was my first time at this salon and it was perfect for me, easy going, friendly and efficient service, she even gave me a head massage during shampoo! uhhh....never had that before and definitely needed it! She was fast, even flat ironed my hair and I didn't have to ask or worry about extra fees. I'm new to Spokane and was mourning the loss of my beloved salon back in Portland, but I needed a good haircut. I have very fine hair but there's piles and piles of it, and it doesn't do much of anything without a good cut with lots of layers. Armina was very sweet and listened to what I said and made suggestions before we even went to the sink for shampoo. I got a fabulous cut and will definitely return to her in the future! I went in feeling like I looked ragged and I came out feeling like a diva. Pros: Relaxed, airy atmosphere, skilled professionals Cons: Parking is hard to find more

I went to Strata for the first time last week and saw Amanda. I had the best experience!! I had a cut and color and have not been this satisfied in a long time! Best Salon in Washington 7/10/2009

I've been going to Strata Salon Spa for several years and have never had a negative experience! Chere is absolutely the only person I have ever met who understands how to work with my very thick hair! When I lived in Seattle, I drove all the way back to Spokane just for a haircut. The atmosphere at Strata is always upbeat, hip, fun and friendly. It is always very clean and doesn't smell like a salon. Today I had my hair colored by Keilah. She was amazing! She definitely has a talent for hair. I told the girls at Strata about an actress who's hair color I wanted to copy and they looked it up for me online. Keilah was able to match the color exactly! I couldn't be happier with the results! My husband loves it, my friends say it looks natural and even the Starbucks girl noticed and said the color suited me. I would definitely recommend Keilah for color and I am sure she does a great job with cuts as well, based on her skill with color. I, of course, highly recommend Chere as well and will continue to have her cut my hair! Strata is the best! Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, amazing haircuts & color! Cons: None! more

I did a search on the internet to find the best salon in Spokane and Strata came up. I am from Moses Lake so I drove over 100 miles for this appointment being as Moses Lake does not have any good stylists. KEILAH IS GREAT! 4/11/2009

Keilah ALWAYS does such a great job on my hair! She is very professional, yet caring and kind. Though I seldom have to words to explain exactly what I want done with my hair (and I am a bit picky!), she always listens patiently and it always turns out better than I could have imagined. She has been doing my cut and colors and root touch-ups for over 4 years now and I love it every time. She is a very talented young lady. I always get a lot of compliments on my style and color. The salon has a wonderful atmosphere. The stylists are friendly and cheerful and its always a delight to visit! Pros: young, modern, keeps updated, excellent at cuts and color! more
