I came in the other day for a cut and left a very satisfied customer. Elizabeth was super friendly and casual, yet professional. My cut was perfect and my hair feels so great. Great atmosphere, great stylist, and great experience! Two thumbs up! more

Go Chere 5/20/2010

After living in several large cities where a good haircut can cost you close to $100, it was nice to land in Spokane and find Chere on my first try. She did a fantastic job on day one and she has been able to cut my hair without much prompting since. At least for me, she remembers the style I am after at my every 3 month visit. Spokane is lucky to have her skills and those thinking that they spend a lot at her salon should realize that they are getting a steal. If Spokane was a big city, she could get away with charging a lot more. more

Chere is a miracle worker and this is the best salon EVER! 5/2/2010

After doing some personal research in trying to locate Chere (there were movement/buyouts and past Strata workers were not being cooperative), I discovered that some of the past Strata Salon workers had actually taken the Strata name and reputation and applied it to their new location ALTHOUGH it was clearly not their right to do so! I am saddened to see some negative reviews on here regarding Strata when they clearly belong to certain stylists NO LONGER at Strata. I feel the need to get this out because I feel that ignorance is never the answer and some of the ignorant reviews on here are not fair at all. Pros: Everything! more

Shane is a miracle worker! 5/2/2010

Having really curly hair, it is hard to find a hairdresser that will listen to what I want, and more importantly, cut my hair so that it looks good on me. I have had a lot of trouble finding a hairdresser since my old one left about two years ago to move to Canada, and have been hopping around trying to find a new one ever since to no avail. I came on here and read many of the great reviews and decided to take a plunge and make an appointment. I got Shane Walters, and she is, in short, absolutely amazing at cutting hair. She's nice, and talkative as well. If you are looking for a hairdresser that will do a great job with you, look no further than Strata Salon. Pros: She listened to what I liked and didn't like. Cons: Nothing! The salon is great! more

STRATA SAVED MY DAY!!! 4/2/2010

Having recently moved to Spokane, I feel very fortunate to have found STRATA SALON?s new downtown location on the corner of First & Lincoln. They are incredible! Although I?m a natural brunette, I?m about 40% gray, and I?ve been getting highlights for several years, so when I walked in STRATA?s door, I had almost an inch of gray grow-out, my hair was dry and over-worked, the highlight color was near orange, and I was near tears. STRATA?s owner, Ch?r?, greeted me at the door; she was super-understanding, and calmly assured me help was on its way. I was not only amazed, but also very pleased when one of her stylists, Keilah, rearranged her personal schedule so she could ?fix? me that very evening. She worked magic on my hair! By the time I walked out of STRATA, my hair was healthy and beautiful; I felt like a whole new person, and I?ve been getting compliments ever since. My husband was so impressed, he insists I remain a loyal customer at his expense! I can?t get much luckier that that! Thank you, STRATA! Pros: Undeniable Expertise & Friendly Atmosphere more

Strata even better than before!!! 3/26/2010

Strata has moves locations now in the center of downtown. The new salon is beautiful and very modern its refreshing for Spokane. Chere was my stylist and is by far the best stylist in Spokane, I always leave happy and every time I see her its gets better and better! Cutting edge hair cuts at resonable prices. I would recommend her to anyone that wants a excellent cut, I would be lost without her. I cant say enough goods things about her and her business!! Im a customer for life. Not what I was expecting 2/18/2010

I had been referred to this salon and maybe had high expectations. After arriving, I was surprised to find it's on the street near the bail bonds offices and a block from the courthouse. The entire salon and clients are exposed to passersby in one of the roughest areas of town. It wasn't a relaxing environment. Pros: Nice stylist. Easy to talk to. Cons: Location. Setting. 3 weeks later and still hate hair 1/27/2010

I must be the only unhappy customer this salon has ever had. I read the reviews before making an appointment. My stylist was very friendly, but I did not get the color or cut I wanted. Three times I told her short and had more cut off. I demonstrated with my fingers where to cut and finally gave up. Whewn I said the color was dirty blonde and not blonde. I was told the ""Next time you come we can foil it again"" At $95.00 I should not need to have it done again! There was no parking and I was worried about a ticket the entire time I was there(4 hours). $135.00 later and now I have to go get my hair done right someplace else. First Class Service 1/27/2010

I moved to Spokane nearly 3 years ago, and had yet to find a hair stylist I could rely on. I went to Strata last week and will continue to go there forever! I had a cut and color with Amanda and have never been so happy. She really listened to me and the crazy needs of me hair and gave me exactly what I was looking for. Finally! A great salon, a great stylist, and great hair!!! Thank you Amanda! Pros: Amazing service, fun environment more

I've read over these reviews and I totally agree! Especially with the last one! I even have something to add to that. My curious nature made me check the names of the people writing reviews and when they were written thinking maybe they were all written in the last couple weeks by workers and family. Um, no and I'm ashamed that I even let my cynical nature check! One thing that totally stood out to me was that these reviews have been coming in for years!!!! Since 2005!!!!!! Clearly Strata has to be the best ever to have consistently awesome reviews for 5 YEARS!!!! Yes, go in now!!! more

this place is awesome. honestly, i would not trust anyone else with my hair (or facial hair for that matter). all the girls are really cool and incredibly talented when it comes to giving me a look to keep me clean and updated. i've also noticed that they never expect me to want the same thing, they always make sure to ask me if i want to clean up what i have going already or if i want to change it up some. sometimes you can get in a funk with the same ol thing but they are always on top of making sure i'm even more satisfied than i even anticipated every time. i would highly recommend strata for anyone-guy or girl. Pros: skills, skills, skills Cons: none, they even have some free parking! more

Always a great experience at Strata 12/1/2009

I've been going to Strata for several years. My hair grows fast so I go about 1 time per month. Chere has been my stylist and she never disappoints. It's nice to have that confidence in something as personal as a haircut, knowing it won't get messed up. Thanks for keeping me trimmed and presentable Strata! Simply the best salon in town 11/30/2009

I've been getting my hair cut at Strata for quite some time. Chere is great and I can honestly say I won't go to any other stylist. Strata has turned my hair cut from simply a task that I had to get done, to an enjoyable experience I actually look forward to. From the smiles they greet you with, the scalp massage, the friendly environment, and the best cut I've ever had, I can't recommend Strata enough. Pros: Excellent environment, best haircut more
