An amaizing atmosphere and super friendly staff. I love my hair every time, this is the best place with easy location, free parking, and amazing prices. All hair designers are unique and different, this is almost like a Hair Art studio, I love it. Pros: best location, free parking, best color and cut more

a little unorganized 5/16/2006

i read that review about the chaos and thats unfortunate because i read great reviews about this place. but have to say that when i called in to make an appointment, because i was going to a party, the girl on the phone had no idea what she was talkin about. she told me something like that the stylists all had different schedules and wanted to take my number so that she could call me back. well, whoever is was i would going to see just lost busines. firstly, im staying at a hotel since im not from the north and secondly, i should have been able to make an appointment right then in here. having to give out my number so that i can make an appointment is backward and a waste of my time. if there are 3 receptionists, why couldn't one of them have helped me out? Salon TEWL is a hidden treasure 5/16/2006

All of the staff at Salon TEWL are open and friendly - no attitude or snobbery at all. Even though the salon has a big open area with lots of stations, it still feels intimate and relaxed. Nice relaxing music is always playing and my water glass was never empty:) I've referred so many people to this salon - and turned many a friend into loyal customers. nothing like it 5/16/2006

I am not one for going to a salon to get a hair cut but figured what the heck. Walking into the salon I was greeted by friendly professional recptionists making me feel very comfortable and taken care of. There was great music playing and a possitive vibe from every stylists working. There were about 13 stylists and evey one was busy working away and carrying on like they have known their client for years. I thought that my visit to Salon Tewl was great and I have already made an appointment to go back. I even referred my girlfriend to go. Pros: positive atmosphere, clean, plifting more

not for relaxation 5/14/2006

I decided to try out Salon Tewl becuase of its rave reviews a little while back. I guess I should've gotten the hint when I called them after work and the receptionist put me on hold 3 times and didn't seem to know what she was talking about and couldn't give me directions. Anyways, I went in for a manicure and pedicure and the service was great. Lisa did an awesome job. I fogot the fact that I got asked by 3 different receptionists asking if I wanted something to drink and who I was there to see. It seemed very chaotic when I walked in. Nevertheless, Lisa was able to get me to relax and enjoy my services with her. So- all in all, I enjoyed my services, but as the for relaxing atmosphere - NO WAY -unless- you like the sounds of loud stylists and blowdryers and such. I feel that Salon Tewl is an amazing place for people to go to get pampered. The atmosphere is very friendly and the stylist do an amazing job on every client. If new clients come in to book an appointment they do their best to place you with a stylist that with be able to comply with your every request. Hottest Salon On Eastside!!!!!!!!!!! 4/26/2006

Salon TEWL is the hottest salon to visit here on the Eastside. As a new client needing a quick fix from a horrible do, I was able to see Marta. Wow, does she know how to cut hair. I had long ugly layers that looked frumpy and now I have this incredibly sexy short bob. All the men at my office keep asking my out. Its hilarious! I just love it!!! Thanks a bunch Marta. Im a long time client of Charlie Bader. Ive followed him from Seattle to Bellevue for years. I just found out that he now has a chair at Salon Tewl. Hes such a terrific follow. Charlie has this amazing ability to produce current hairstyles and out of this word color. If youre ever in the neighborhood, go see him immediately!! more

Ive been going to Marta ever since shes worked at Gene Juarez. She is truly talented in the art of hair and when it comes to color, shes a genius. I wanted a fresh new hair do that would make me look ten years younger. She was able to bring my color from a brown to a fresh strawberry blonde using this crazy technique called balayage. What a superstar she is! I love you Marta! more

Best Salon in Bellevue 4/19/2006

salon Tewl is the best salon I have ever been to. Normally I bounce around from salon to salon trying new people. I see Marta at salon Tewl, I consideer her an artist. I'm constantly getting asked where I get my hair done. Prices are good and the atmosphere is wonderful. You can go there and hangout with friends and stylists or simply keep to yourself. 405 is so close 4/19/2006

The access from 405 to Salon Tewl is incredible. It was really simple to get there from my house in Issaquah. Just two blocks from 405 and then a right at the Marriott. Plus, the have free covered parking. I dont have to pay for parking anymore whenever I get my hair done. YAY!!!! Pros: freeway access, parking, clean more

great hair and nails 4/19/2006

I love visiting Salon Tewl. From their polite staff to excellent professional stylists, I never have to worry when I go in to get my hair cut. Ive seen Mari, who does a great haircut. She put in some beautiful layers to kind of volumize my hair. I also saw Lisa for my nails. I got a spa manicure that I just LOVED! She does such a pretty job with nails. Ive never gotten so many compliments on my hair and nails. more

Tewl's Beautiful Statue 4/19/2006

I started coming to Tewl because of the original artwork they displayed right outside their front door. Its a statue of a man sitting on a stool getting his hair done with a cat underneath him. I later found out that the artist who created the statue is famous and has work scattered all over Washington and the rest of the United States. One of his more recognizable pieces of artwork is located in Seattle by the Fremont Bridge and is called People Waiting for the Interurban. The artists name is Richard S. Beyer. If you ever are in Bellevue, stop by the salon and get your hair done. Youll also get an opportunity to look that this amazing statue. Pros: great artwork, staff, energy more

went to salon tewl and Dawn May cut my hair to a rad mowhawk. not the shaved kind of yesterday, but the new updated version. I have been to three different salons in the bellevue area and none of them colored my hair right. finally i found out about salon tewl through a friend and got an appointment with dawn. she's rocks at color and cuts. she took me from red to light brown in 2 hours plus my hair doesn't feel damaged or rough. Im so happy and fortunate that Dawn May takes new clients. I just love the way she colored my hair. She really listens to what a client whats and knows how to work her magic to fit anyones needs. I just had black highlights put in my brown hair and it looks sooooo good. Yicks! I just love her. I'm definitely coming back. See you soon Dawn. more

arta is such a talented hair stylist!!! Ive followed her for years hoping that someday shell own her own salon and finally she does! You have to go visit Marta at SalonTewl. She is the greatest color expert Ive ever come across and believe me, I have to get my hair done every 4 weeks and Ive never once had to come in for a redo. SHE IS AMAZING!!! more
