Jennifer -- Best Hair Stylist in Bellevue 6/8/2011

I recently moved to the Seattle area and I was in need of a new stylist which I was dreading trying to find one as good as my last one. I had a co-worker suggest Jennifer at Salon Tewl so I booked a appointment and went. I have always done foils in my hair with blond highlights on the top half of my head and dark brown all thru my bottom half of hair. Jennifer suggested I do a Balayage instead of a foil which would make my hair more of a natural blond and not so streaky and fake looking and color it all thru my hair instead of just the top to make my hair look more full and healthy. I very hesitant in not knowing what it was and I was so comfortable in the same old foil thing so she showed me pictures of how all the models and actresses do it now and how pretty it looked and so I agreed to trust her and let her do it. She suggested cutting layers only next to face to bring out my facial features and look fuller in the back. When she was done I was in shock by how beautiful and perfect my hair was. I have never been so happy with my hair and the cut and highlights ever before! I left looking like a model and feeling as beautiful as ever! more

A Great Experience From The Time You Walk In. 5/9/2011

I have been going to Salon Tewl for over a year now and have several friends that go there also. I just love going because the experience begins from the time you walk in the door and the receptionist greets you, takes your coat and asks if you would like something to drink. My stylist is so easy to work with and I never worry about how my hair is going to turn out. I have also observed other stylists there while being worked on and they all seem to have the same easy manner yet wonderful understanding of not only the latest styles but what will look the best for their client. I would highly recommend this salon to anyone as one you won't be disappointed it. I never have been. Jo more

Tony is Wonderful 3/25/2011

After going to a number of salons, Obadiah, Seven, Salon Matarazzo, are included, they all gave me a nice hair style, but Tony gave me a fabulous hair style. I received so many compliments, and that has been the first time ever. Before the hair cut, Tony asked me what it was I wanted in a hair style and I got more than what I had asked for. The front back of my hair looks beautiful, and it is well proportioned to my face. He spent a lot of time washing and cutting my hair and I walked out with healthy, glowing, beautiful hair! I love what he did to my hair! more

Totally Awesome!!! 3/20/2011

I moved to Belevue 6 years ago as I go the job here with a tech company. Since I have to dress and look professionally I wanted to pick the Salon with great service. I ended up picking Tewl Salon on my friends recomendation who's been thier customer for last 12 years. They Were really professional and treated me with care. I was so happy and confident after my every visit to Tewl salon. I am glad they individually pay attention to the style that fits me. My daughter is a 16 now and she needs to look pretty to I have am planning to take her to Tewl too. I can't thank Tewl Salon for the look and confidance the their style has given me. Great Salon near Seattle 2/28/2011

I've come here quite a few times - usually I come for a mani/pedi and I love the high quality products they use. Very friendly, upbeat place. I always make a weekday appointment and take a long lunch and enjoy the pampering. Great way to perk up a boring weekday! more

Have Kay straighten your hair. She is the BEST! 2/28/2011

Kay has been cutting and straightening (Japanese Magic Perm) my hair for the last 6 years. I can't say enough wonderful things about her. She is amazing! She always listens to what I want, she can cut curly hair very well (not an easy task), her judgement is spot on and she has great technique. I am always pleased every time. It doesn't matter if it's a trim, cut or straightening. We are going to start coloring soon and I trust her completely to do a wonderful job! more

Tony is wonderful 2/6/2011

I was looking for a new hairdresser a few months ago - I wanted to try someone new so I searched online and came across Salon Tewl. I just happened to get an appointment with Tony. I am so glad I did. Tony is wonderful! He listens to what I want and incorporates his years of experience and creativity to give me an amazing cut every time. He does not give the run of the mill haircut that you get from most of the local large salons where everyone looks the same when they leave. I feel like I get a haircut that is personalized just for me and I love it! I get compliments on my haircut so often. I would highly recommend him. His sweet french accent is the icing on the cake :) more

Salon Tewl + Tony = Sheer Joy 1/14/2011

I have been going to Salon Tewl for a year now and getting my hair cut and colored by Tony. I always come out looking fabulous. Beautiful cut, color and style. Everyone at the salon is professional and nice. I always get a reminder call and when I come in Maria always greets me with a smile, and tends to my coffee needs :-) This Salon is fabulous and you can't beat the free parking and easy access to Bravern and Bel Square. Looking for a new Salon, new hairdresser, I highly recommend you give this place a try. more

Brazilian Blowout--Best invention in 2010 1/11/2011

Sarah Vaughn gave me the Brazilian Blowout at the end of August and it is the middle of Jan. now and I still absolutely love it. My hair is very thick and course and always frizzy and bushy in our rainy weather. The Brazilian Blowout has made my hair shinny, smooth, soft and always so manageable. I will definitely do it again, I am spoiled now and it is very affordable since it?s been 41/2 months now and my hair is still gorgeous. more

Sarah_Best Men's Cut 1/4/2011

I have been getting my hair cut from Sarah Vaughn since 2000 and can honestly say I've never had a better hair cut. Sarah is great at listening and understanding the look you are trying to achieve - and has actually exceeded my expectations every time. There have even been times when I didn't really know what I wanted, but knew I wanted something different... and she was able to use her own artistic judgment and give me a new cut that I have always loved. Sweet, friendly, and consistent... best haircut ever! more

Without a doubt, the best cuts, styles, & highlights ever! 1/1/2011

I cannot say enough positives about this place. It is well-run, classy/trendy, great location (with free parking) friendly staff, and, most of all, has some AMAZING stylists. I have had my hair cut at probably a dozen different places throughout my life (and had many bad cuts at other salons), but since I've found Tewl, I will never go anywhere else! I discovered it a little over a year ago and have been a regular client ever since. I have gotten, by far, the best cuts (consistently) and highlights you could ask for. I especially recommend stylist Tony above all else. If you can get an appointment with him, you absolutely won't regret it. He is a true artist! more

So I just recently moved to Seattle and have been really searching for a great stylist, I've had a couple of bad experiences elsewhere when a friend of mine referred me to go see Brooke at Salon Tewl. I am confidant to say I have FINALLY found my stylist! She did a beautiful haircut and color and honestly my hair has never looked or felt better. She was such a joy to talk to and one of the things that I loved most is that she keeps up with current trends and made sure that my hair will fit with my lifestyle. very unhappy! 12/22/2010

I was pleased to see another review on here about a stylist moving and salon tewl staff not telling where they went or giving any kind of contact information! I have Followed Heidi from 2 salons in the last 6 years and when she moved before the salon owner was very helpful and gave me her phone number instantly. After i i was a lil persistant with the front desk they finally gave me her cell phone. But i find it extreamly unprofessonal that they pretended to not know where she was??? when clearly they did! well I found my lovely stylist Heidi At salon Bella with a few other familiar faces from tewl! more

fabulous lashes 11/22/2010

I never have had eyelash extensions done before, but thought it would be really fun and glam. I was referred by a friend to go and see Katey for my lashes. I arrived at the salon where it was right off of the freeway, there was easy parking, and a great atmosphere. The front desk girl offered me a variety of beverages and the place was very clean. Katey first talked to me about what i was looking for and answered all of my questions. Then i just layed down and relaxed while she went to work. When i opened my eyes the results were beyond what i ever had expected. They were so beautiful and i was thrilled. It is so nice to wake up and already be halfway ready and the maintenance is so easy. I am now telling all of my friends about Katey and what a great job she does. I never want to go back to my old lashes now that i have these. It is just that little something that boosts your self-confidence!!! more

Felt at ease 11/8/2010

ok so i usually dont write any reviews but i feel this one is necessary. My girlfriend told me that i was way to hairy and needed to get a wax. If you dont know thats the last thing a guy wants to hear. So for our vacation i decided to go get a brow and chest wax. i wanted to go to a experinced and professional place and after reading the reviews i decided this was the place. The young lady katey who did the waxing was very nice and did a really good job. She didnt even laugh when i told her why i was there. my girlfriend was thrilled and is now telling her girlfriends to send there hairy men there. thank you for making this expierence a positive one. more

Not very happy with Salon Tewl.... 11/4/2010

I have gone to Michael at Salon Tewl for years. He always does a great job and has a solid clientele. When I called to make an appointment a week ago I was told that he was no longer there. I asked where he was and they said they didn't know and that he would probably call his clients. He did in fact call and was surprised to hear that I had been told that they didn't know where he was. They in fact had that information and I guess I just find that very unprofessional. I would not recommend their salon. more

Susan Miller is the best 10/25/2010

I've been getting my hair cut by Susan Miller for over 20 years. I followed her here from another salon. Unlike many of my friends experiences with other stylists she is always on time and does a great job. And of course she is great to talk to and super friendly. more
