Excellent School 4/10/2013

Round Rock Christian Academy is one learning institution that never ceases to amaze me. I have family members that have attended there since kindergarten and have repeatedly seen first-hand, the immense benefits of a private education at RRCA. The kids are at learning levels well above that of public schools and I don’t think that can only be attributed to the excellent curriculum they offer. Year after year their teachers have all been outstanding and the classes are kept to a size that enables them to manage everything effectively. There is also a brilliant parent-teacher communication system set up, and utilized, so kids don’t just slip through the cracks on any level. Whether it is a learning challenge, conduct, homework or discipline, the problems are addressed immediately and parents partner with the school to achieve solutions for each specific child. In addition to general knowledge, I would say that RRCA also teaches and holds the students to high standards of ethical and moral principles. These codes of integrity can easily be recognized throughout the management, faculty and staff. And last but not least, in addition to being smart and well mannered, the kids are tremendously happy and well adjusted. In no way would I ever diminish the noble parenting job that my sister and her husband are doing, but when you have a school like this backing you up the children can do nothing but benefit. more

All around excellence! 4/4/2013

Biggest and best private Christian school in Williamson County. Solid college prep education. Strong emphasis on ethics and Christian teaching. Excellent teachers! more

Excellent and keeps getting better! 4/4/2013

I'm a big fan! My kids have attended RRCA for the last 8 years. Warm, caring environment. The teachers are fantastic! My kids receive personal attention that is simply not feasible in a larger school. Solid college prep curriculum. Christ-centered environment. Strong emphasis on ethics and service. Very affordable tuition compared to other schools. In fact, I don't know how they are able to keep tuition so low. I would recommend RRCA to anyone seeking great preschool-12th grade Christian education! more

Scam "school", diploma mill, cultic group, dangerous for children 8/24/2010

A corrupt and dangerous environment for children. There's nothing "Christian" about this pervert cult whatsoever, and calling it a "school" is an insult to education itself. First off, it's an outright scam. The school charges outrageous prices for it's "education" (if you call it that), while most of it goes into the pockets of the administration. Resources and faculty are the absolute worst imaginable. Second, it's an extremist fundamentalist cult, not a school, much like Scientology. Students are verbally abused and lied to. For example: They are taught that evolution is a "New World Order hoax They taught that they are as bad as rapists and murderers in "God's eyes (a Monday speaker once said this in front of a room for of kids as young as kindergarden). They are taught that "outsiders" are essentially subhuman and even worth of death. A teacher (Wilma Anders) taught students in "Bible class" that the victims of Hurricane Katrina were "heathens" and deserved it - she also advocated the abolition of the US Constitution, and a return to the Christian version of Sharia Law - which would include stoning rape victims, murdering children for talking back to their parents, and putting to death those who eat shrimp, and work on the Sabbath. (See www.evilbible.com for the verses she quoted.) Since the school is an abusive cult, and their cirriculum consists of 90% lies and propaganda, and maybe 10% actual learning, I can't recommend this depraved institution to any parent who DOESN'T want their kid to grow up to be a suicide bomber or serial killer. For the rest of us moral people out there, pick a different school. You'd be safer leaving your kid in the hands of NAMBLA members than sending them to this aberration of a center of learning. more

Mixed feelings 12/4/2009

My review is based on one grade of lower middle school. The school itself is fine. My issue is more with the "social" aspect of this school. I think it stems from the fact that if you look at the ratios at RRCA, there are a lot of ONLY children enrolled here. Get ready to get involved and DO your kids homework because basically your kid is competing against stay-at-home moms (and grandma/grandpas). They do their kids homework and will do ANYTHING to get their kid front and center. A complete child-centered mentality reigns among some of the moms and grandparents of this grade. These same moms are very cliquey and make a point of excluding other children from extracurricular events. It's a little sad because you spend a lot of money to have your kids in a Christ-centered environment, and these moms have made sure our experience has been pretty far from that. There is also a shocking under current of mean-spiritedness. Other grades may be fine so it may just be an issue with this one particular grade that we are a part of. Check this place out thoroughly so you know what you're getting into and protect your kid. Unfortunately, you'll need to waste a lot of time on things that don't matter except to a bunch of meddling stay-at-home hens. more

If you are looking for a good quality private school then you definitely want to take a tour of this place. We were referred to this place by many friends who had nothing but good things to say about the educational environment that they have provided for their children. Although we did not end up sending our daughter there due to location, we were still impressed during our visit. As with most private schools they have a low teacher to child ratio which is great for children needing a smaller learning environment compared to the larger classrooms in public schools that might not work for every child. While we were touring the campus we found the environment is be warm and friendly. We also noticed that the emplolyees were encouraging students to try their best and to try hard. When we found out the cost of tuition we found it to be comparable to other private church schools that we were looking at. The building is older so if the look is important to you then this probably won't be the place for you. more
