Amazing food and service

Worst

The food was great, the server was attentive to be serving a party of 14, but why were we all standing around waiting on the bill? We waited for at least 15 minutes yesterday to g...

Great customer service; Beautiful decor 6/5/2007

The decor was beautiful!! I met a friend and a few associates there on a Saturday around 3:30-4:00 PM. It was about 10 of us and seating was reserved for us upstairs. We all loved the ambience but the food was okay. Although I'm not a big Mexican food lover, but when any type of food is delicious--it's delicious! I've had much better Mexican food from a smaller type of establishment. The server was great, customer service, the server was attentive and pleasant. The pomegranate mojito was really good. This is a beautiful restaurant--if the food was better this place has the potential of being an awesome spot for dining and ambience! I can imagine the way it looks at night! Pros: Ambience, parking, decor more

Best Mexican restaurant in Atlanta... 5/17/2007

My experience at this establishment was superb. Great service, great food and an awesome atmosphere. Try the fajitas No Mas! if you like an abundant amount of large shrimp, seasoned skirt steak and the freshest chicken I ever had. Drinks for the money in the city were very fairly priced. I asked for a classic margarita which the server was not aware of. It is how they make a margarita in Mexico (all alcohol, of course!). They gladly made it for me and said they would put it on the menu. I eat out at least 6 days a week and this place is one to return to. more

This Restaurant is a ""Mexicant"" 5/14/2007

I live and work for a major magazine located the Castleberry district. No doubt, this is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant and the store adjacent to the eatery has amazing hand-made pieces. However, the food is horrible! I never write negative reviews, but after my third visit (I tried to remain opptomistic, giving it a second and third try) the quality of the food NEVER improved. The food was stale and tastless. The size of the margaritas are embaressingly small. The menu is limited, the salsa tastes like chuncky bbq sauce (no kidding) and the list goes on. The After my third visit, I found out why. While exiting the front door and walking across the patio to the store full of extravagant Mexican imports, I witnessed an employee cleaning the floor of the freezer. All the while, trays and trays of beans and rice, stacked on shelves were swarming with flies!! Uncovered and exposed to the elements. But on a positive not, the mints at the front hostess stand are great!! Never again will I visit the beautiful tainted paradise!!! Pros: Beautiful Restaurant and Great Location Cons: Horrible Food more

Most horrible service ever, food was absolutely disgusting! 5/7/2007

This restaurant didn't get a single thing right throughout the entire meal! 6 waters forr 9 girls, 1 salsa, no chips. Had to order mydrink 4 times just to get it, and when it finally came, it was wrong. It took 4 hours to get our food, and by the time they pulled it out from uder the lamps, it was crusty and hard. When we asked for a manager, the food runner prentended to be one. I could go on, but I think you get the point. I absolutely do not reccomend eating here. more

Best fajita's in Atlanta! 4/22/2007

Far and away the best fajita's in Atlanta (and the best I've had anywhere - including compairing my several stops in Mexico). Amazing atmosphere - the restaurant is truly unique. Great Day of the Dead decore and excellent use of their mexican furniture (from the No Mas furniture store that is attached to the same loft building). more

Great food 3/2/2007

Everytime I go to No Mas! Cantina, I have a great experience. The staff is friendly and attentive and the food is always a treat. I love the atmosphere, I can't wait until the weather is warmer so I can enjoy the beautiful patio. I recommend the tangerine margaritas, so great. This place is one of the best kept secrets in Atlanta, you have got to try it. Pros: Great food, drinks and decor more

Best Mexican Food in Atlanta 1/31/2007

Amazing place - loved the atmosphere and the food was the best Mexican I've had in Atlanta ever. Will go back with friends. Pros: Food more

Great food, Great atmosphere 1/4/2007

I loved everything about this place. From the awesome decor to the exceptional food. I highly recomend the Pollo Relleno, a stuffed chicken breast bursting with cheese and chilis, fabulous. The chips, salsa and queso are best in Atlanta. I had the special dessert, a mocha chocolate flan, talk about good. Dense, but not too eggy like so many flans, it was fabulous. If like Mexico you will love this place. Pros: great food and atmosphere more

Worst Pitcher of Margaritas 12/17/2006

Food was just ok. Cheese dip and Guac was good but the salsa was aweful. We had 2 pitchers of Margaritas ($50) and I don't think there was any alcohol in them, please add tequila next time. Also the pitcher weighs about 20 lbs. The restauraunt is so pretty too bad the food and drinks aren't that great : -( Pros: Ambience is wonderful! Cons: Margaritas are below average more

THE BEST DECOR THIS SIDE OF OF THE BORDER 11/20/2006

Fantastic ambience.....makes the good food taste even better. I just wish the place was a little bit closer than its remote Casteberry Hill location, but the owners have vision and Catleberry will be the ""it"" place in a few years. Pros: Castleberry Hill, Great Decor Cons: Castleberry Hill more

Great food, service and atmosphere 11/18/2006

I really like this restaurant. The food was wonderful...we had guacomole and shrimp fajitias. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. I'm so glad I discovered this restaurant. The concept is great! Pros: Great food and service..love the setting! more

Excellent porkchops 10/25/2006

I have tried the porkchops on 2 different occasions. Excellent with a spicy apple masa tamale and chipotle mashed potatoes. As good as I have had anywhere. Inconsistency in salsa and chips have been corrected and are always great, even though I try to not eat them, I usually do. If you tried it earlier, but were unhappy, it may be time to give it another try. more

Amazing Decor, Average Food 10/22/2006

Its like walking into another country. Unfortunately, we had a late Friday nite dinner and didnt get to browse the attached store but I liked what I saw. We realized that everything in the restaurant, from the flatware to the glassware, etc could be purchased. The chips were served warm, thin and crisp. I ordered the Queso Traditional and it was some of the best I ever had. The fajitas for two was good but served lukewarm and Ive had better fajita meat at Border or some other places. Pros: decor, queso dip, able to purchase authentic goods Cons: service can be hi! or miss, some food items served lukewarm more

Loved it! A welcome addition to the neighborhood. 10/9/2006

A culinary and visual feast! Tonight's visit was my second to this brand new restaurant that is now at the top of my list for downtown dining. I took my mother for her birthday, and she was completely enchanted. The first impression couldn't have been better, and the rest of evening followed suit. Pros: fresh ingredients, fabulous ambience, import home store next door Cons: a little confusing to find the host stand - walk in the big, wooden doors to find it. more

Outstanding, Remarkable, and Out of this WORLD 9/24/2006

I have never been to Mexico until I visited No Mas Cantina. This is my new spot. And I plan to tell the entire city of Atlanta about it. You can EAT, DRINK, and even SHOP for furniture to decorate your house....WOW!!!! Pros: You can EAT, DRINK, and SHOP. Cons: Close to early on the weekend. more

Raw chicken bad service. 9/15/2006

My wife and I dined at No Mas for the first time yesterday (Friday) night. The decor is beautiful, and its a unique environment. We were very excited to be there. However, the food and the service were dreadful. Pros: Great ambience and good location Cons: Raw chicken and bad service more

Great Food 9/15/2006

First, I would like to say that the atmosphere was phenomenal. I sat on the patio and felt like I was in Old Mexico, I would have liked to stay all day, but real life called me away. I had the Pollo Relleno it was a delicious blend of flavors. I enjoyed a glass of wine in the hand blown wine glass and will be back to buy the chair I sat in. I was there on a Sunday afternoon, a great time to go. The staff was friendly and attentive. I will definately be back. Pros: Food and atmosphere Cons: Couldn't stay all day. more

No Mas es No Bueno!! 9/15/2006

Pros: Beautiful place, valet parking Cons: Service, service, service more

This Place is Awesome! 9/10/2006

From the moment you get out of your car you know you are in for a treat. The patio is absolutely beautiful, complete with a water fountain. The margaritas were fantastic, I had a tangerine one and my husband had the tamarindo. The food was great too, I highly recomend the stuffed chicken breast and the pork chops. You've got to give this place a try. Pros: Margaritas! more

Beautiful decor, Sad food 9/7/2006

The place is absolutely gorgeous. It's got a great patio and is beautifully decorated inside. When you go there you feel like you're on vacation. Unfortunately, the food is lacking. The salsa and chips are the first sign. Both have a wierd after taste. I've gotten the tilapia tacos there and they were very average. Certainly not worth the money we paid for it. So, if you're in to the decor then by all means you should check the place out but if you in it for the food, go somewhere else. I'm actually hoping they'll hire a new cook or somehing because the place really could be a winner. Cuter wait staff wouldn't hurt either. Oh well time will tell. Pros: Ambience Cons: Food more
