Not Satisfied 4/12/2006

I went to get highlights and got a shower cap with holes in it placed on my head. As she began pulling my hair out through the holes I told her that I wasn't comfortable with this way and would prefer she did the highlights with the foils instead. She insisted that this would look exactly the same. I continued to express concern, but she said to just trust her and everything would be perfect. The result was highlights that I was VERY unhappy with! Pros: nice salon, friendly staff, quick appointments Cons: unprofessional, poor highlights, low skills more

Mary gave me a whole new look that I love! I went in not knowing what I wanted, and left with a brand new hair style and color that I am thrilled with. She was a pleasure to work with as well. I can't wait to go back. Pros: fun stylists, nice atmosphere Cons: a little expensive more

Color Magic! 4/5/2006

Akee worked some serious color magic with my hair. She has a great instinct for it and she gave a beautiful and the most natural looking color and highlights I've ever had. Also, she made an eyebrow convert out of me! I've had my eyebrows done before, but was never thrilled, and decided the pain was not worth it. Akee however asked if she could do mine, I let her, and I was amazed at the the difference it made in my face. Made me look 10 years younger, and somehow she did it with very little discomfort. Awesome. I'm a believer now! more

A perfect coloring job 3/25/2006

I am the lady who have my hair done at many times and at different places. Almost every hair dye job would have a fault. (not into my roots enough, missed spots, etc.) but not this salon. Mary did my hair color perfectly! Id love to go back there for my next hair appointment. Pros: coloring job, friendly atmosphere, relaxing Cons: expensive, no wine more

Best Hair Salon In Fremont 3/19/2006

I would highly recommend New Image Salon & Spa. When I first moved to Fremont my hair was in shambles. I was struggling with a bad cut, not to mention it was 4 different shades! A good friend refered me to Master stylist and owner, Akee Azar. She is an amazing colorist! Akee gave me a great cut and transformed my color to compliment my skin tone. She has consistantly proven her expertise and I wouldn't consider going anywhere else. In addition, the staff and other stylists create a welcome environment. Both my sisiter and I got our new hair cuts from Akee. She did a wonderful job with it. Even though it's been a few weeks since we got the hair cut we still get compliments. She did a great job and she was very friendly also. Pros: Wonderful experience Cons: Kinda expensive more

Akee is the Best Hair Stylist 2/14/2006

I had an appointment with Akee last Friday, 2/10 @ 6:30pm and I got there a little late @7pm. I told her that I needed to be out of the Salon by 8:15pm. She did my highlights touch-up and hair cut within the time frame I've given her. On top of that she gave me a complimentary eyebrow wax. I felt like a new woman coming out of her salon and I've got a lot of compliments that night! Thanks Akee for always making me look good! more

If you need a haircut/highlights/color done, ask for Mary or Sunshine. These ladies are great. They are very considerate and friendly. I went to get my hair color and wasn't quite sure which one. Ackee gave me great advice and suggested hi-lights,too. She told me that she knew what I was looking for. I received wonderful attention from her staff who offered me some tea and cake and made sure I was comfortable. I loved the end result of my new hair color and hair cut. It took 10 years younger! The best haircut & color of my life 1/31/2006

I had been looking for a good salon for a long time (ok, I guess I tend to be pretty picky about my hair). I saw the reviews for this salon here and on Yahoo! Local and decided to give it a try. Everything everyone said is true!!! I've got the best color and haircut of my life. The people who work here are FANTASTIC! They know what they're doing, are nice and friendly, and pamper you well. The salon has a gorgeous interior, to boot. I really enjoyed my visit and I'm defintely going back (for a high-light this time). I highly recommend this salon to everyone. Don't miss the facials and massage! 1/18/2006

I'm a chemo patient, and have no hair. But I do go for the facials and upper body massage. Every lotion and cleanser and toner and exfolliant feels decadent on my skin. they use only the best. The massage is like floating on a cloud. I have tender places, and at each visit it's a team effort to check out the spots, avoid them, and still enjoy the massage where possible. I can't believe my eyes! 12/11/2005

My boyfriend got me a gift certificate at the New Image salon for our anniversary, and wow! I had never colored my hair, so I was a little apprehensive, but I was ready for a change (I know my boyfriend was!). The master stylist, Akee, suggested a reddish auburn color to go with my complexion, and also suggested some highlights. She also designed my eyebrows, which completely opened up my face (now I have a really nice eybrow arch). A haircut and a facial later, I am a new woman. I loved the experience -- I'm completely transformed. Everything went right. I didn't even know what to ask for, but all the recommendations were right on the dot. I couldn't be happier with the service. The salon is clean, the staff is courteous and kind, and their work is top notch. I'm definitely going back and telling all my friends.
