Waxing with Kati 3/20/2011

I have been going to Kati for Brazilian waxes for months now. She does, by far, the best job I have ever had. The waxing is always quick, clean, and as least painful as possible. I will not go anywhere else to have this service done. I highly recommend trying Kati! more

I have been seeing Molly for over a year for brow shapings. She does an AMAZING job! You will be very pleased with her work! She shapes and thins your brows without thinning too much. Best studio for all of your bridal needs! 3/11/2011

As some of you know when you get married everything happens in tornado fashion and when it is the big day getting ready is no exception! I had heard many good things about the stylist at Mina's and received nothing less than the best experience. Gwen, the bridal coordinator, made scheduling so painless. She was able to work in myself and five bridesmaids for hair, make-up and nail services without breaking a sweat and with only two weeks notice. She was prompt and polite in each of our email exchanges and was there on the day to make sure everything ran smoothly which felt very personal, it was nice. I ended up being paired with Tiffany for my make up and Gabi for my hair. Tiffany was a doll, she is very sweet and my make up looked beautiful and was done in a very natural way. Gabi was incredibly fast and provided me with exactly what I wanted for my up-do. She truly has talent. All of us looked great and I cannot thank the staff at Mina's enough for helping make my big day a little less stressful with such great service. more

Kati is the best! 3/1/2011

Kati is the best Brazilian waxer I have had. She made me feel very comfortable and the conversation flowed easily with her. I have sensitive skin, and she used products that didn't irritate me at all. I've never had such a good experience getting a Brazilian before. Plus, she's Hungarian (and that's where my family is from) so it added a lot of fun to the experience. If you're looking for the best waxer in Chapel Hill, see Kati Dézsi at Mina's Studio! Best Brazilian bikini wax by Kati! 3/1/2011

When it comes to my Brazilian waxing I am very picky of who will do the service. After I moved in this area I tried several places and estheticians until I found Kati at Mina’s. My neighbor (who is a long time costumer of Kati’s) recommended her. As soon as she started I knew she knows what she’s doing. This was the least painful wax I had ever got, my skin was not irritated afterword, and she did a meticulous job, clean and fast. She has at least 15yrs experience and that makes her calm, confident and very patient with new and nervous clients like me. Thank you, Kati! more

Highly Recommend Kati for Waxing 2/28/2011

It looks like from reading other reviews that there are other great waxers at Mina's, all the staff I have encountered has been great, but I must say from personal experience that KATI is by far the best waxer, not just at Mina's, but in the whole triangle area. I have been to other salons in the past, from other high end places to the cheap nail salons that will do waxing for $7 and nothing comes close to comparing to the all around great experience with Kati at Mina's. I have been seeing her to get my eyebrows done for over 3 years now and she has never, ever let me down. She is extremely knowledgeable about skin care and waxing and really takes her time with each appointment making sure you get the best results possible. My brows always look great...it's worth every penny! more

Wax with Molly! 2/7/2011

I came to Mina's Studio for a Brazilian wax at the recommendation of a co-worker, and it was great advice! First of all, as it was my first time for this type of service I was very nervous, but Molly's demeanor was very calming, professional, and she put me at ease right away. She talked me through it, what to expect, pre-care and post-care. And secondly, she used hard wax. I was told to ask for this wax as it is the least aggressive and least painful of the waxes and my skin didn't feel or look beat up after the process. I will definitely be back! more

Best waxer ever 1/27/2011

Jenny Kapur at Mina's is the most professional, meticulous, thorough esthetician I've ever seen for leg and other waxing. She doesn't miss a hair and is the epitome of calm while she gets your skin smooth as a whistle. Mina's in general has a high level of service; always cordial, polite, and considerate folks from the front desk to the back rooms. more

Great Salon! 12/9/2010

I just had my first appointment at Mina's a couple of days ago and everyone I met from the desk to the floor was very nice and accommodating. With the weather being so cold their hot beverage service was a nice surprise. I had a great haircut and facial and look forward to the next time! more

First Contact Wildly Disappointing 10/13/2010

I'm fairly new to the area, and I called this morning to find out more about the studio. The lady who answered sounded rushed, made it really clear that I was interrupting her day, and heavily sighed when I requested further information. Seriously? Well, I guess they have more business than they need. I was very disappointed as I had received a personal recommendation for them, and can't wait to relay my experience back. The interaction could not have been colder or more unfriendly. And instead of inviting me to go ahead and make an appointment (which I called wanting to do), she hurried me off the phone. WOW!. I just don't see how it could have all these LIGITIMATE 5 star ratings with this type of service . . . . more

Great salon! 8/20/2010

I recently moved to the area and was searching for a salon that carried Bumble and bumble products. I read online that Mina's Studio was voted one of the best 50 Bumble salons in the country so I decided to give them a try. I wasn't disappointed! The salon is modern without being cold, busy without being stressful and full of talented stylists. They carry the full Bumble line which I loved and I even got a complimentary latte for my short wait! more

Angela Caparo's new location 8/4/2010

I was very disappointed when I called Mina's to schedule my waxing appointment with Angela. I was informed Angela was no longer at Mina's. I asked for her new location and the receptionist was unwilling to provide me with that information. With some luck I was able to find her at Citrine Salon, located at 3110 Environ Way Chapel Hill, NC 27517 (919) 929-2209. I hope this helps all the other customers that were loyal to Angela and not Mina's. more

I am so glad I found Jenny K. again at Minas. She is the most professional and is remarkable at waxing. I love my Sunday pedicures. It is so quiet and peaceful and the music and atmosphere is so relaxing and put’s you to sleep. Glad I changed to Sundays – what a difference!! Jenny will make your experience worth every penny. Wax with Molly! 5/12/2010

I came in to Mina's and got a great bikini wax from Molly. She was quick (in and out in under 20 minutes), calm, and professional. She didn't try to chat chat chat like so many do, and her work was clean and neat. I do wish that the front desk had given me the opportunity to leave a tip, as I did not have any cash, and the receipt I signed had no space for tip - a faux pas on my part, but I'll just make up for it the next time I come to see Molly. But would it be so hard to ask customers "Would you like to leave a tip on your card?" before they go swiping? I do agree with some commenters that the front desk girls can be a big harsh - but I guess it's all business to them. Either way, I was able to make an appointment for the same day - Molly was sweet and professional...I will absolutely be back to see her! Maybe will be coming back for a haircut too if I can find a stylist who can work with fine textured hair... Pros: quick and professional! Cons: front desk is a little lacking in personality...and smiles more

what would i do without Angela? 3/19/2010

I've been a client and friend of Angela Caparo's for many years now. It's time I leave a nice note for her. She does my brows and gives a great facial. My daughter says she is excellent with the art of brazilian waxing. I care not to find out for myself. I look forward to our appointments, not just because I look pretty afterwards, but also the great conversations we have about life, movies, and the random nonsense of the day. We had a girls day of beuaty before my son's wedding at Mina's and it was a great experience. 10 women getting manicures, pedicures and hair could have been a nightmare, but the staff handled it with ease and grace. Best place for first time wax 1/12/2010

I have been waxed before in all different types of salons/spa's. But this was my first Brazilian wax... let me just say I was beyond nervous. The moment I walked I was greeted with smiles, and the ladies at the desk were willing to go out of there way to help calm my nerves. Jenny was the name of the lady who waxed me, she was extremely sweet and even more talented. Her 19 years of experience showed, I was barely in any pain. Best part about it is she did a great job! I would recommend Jenny and this salon to anyone!! There was another thing that I noticed while I was there is not one person in the salon was frowning.
