Manhattan Auto Care did a fine job and had my car back to me exactly when promised. This was very important to me because I need my car for daily business travel and they kept their word. Be sure to get exact directions if you don't know the area. Once you know where it is it's very easy to find. more

MAC was my very first auto shop experience. I am a female and usuallly we get ripped off, however, Richard, definitely DID NOT take advantage of my ignorance. He included other minor repairs for free as well and even assisted me with my car rental. About 2 months later I needed his services regarding one of the original repairs and he immediately accomodated my schedule and repaired all plus another free-bee for me. Amanda (his office manager/secretary...etc) is very sweet, polite, professional, and patient. I highly recommend Manhattan Autocare. The pricing was fair but more importantly the work was great and done on time. Would use again. Pros: Professional and honest. more

This shop is the worse. I went in for an estimate and his prices were 2 to 3 hundred dollars more than the dealership plus there is some pretty bad reviews on this website. Go some place else this guy is a rip-off artist. Cons: outlandish prices more

I have no idea who would ever write a good review on this shop it must be friends of the owner or employees but I must agree with all the bad ones I took my car into this shop and more damage was done to it by the shop than when I original brought it in I needed to have a quarter panel repaired which took three weeks and my car was returned dirty with overspray on the headlights and back windows There was so much dirt and beer cans in the backseat it smelled like a brewery when i was driving my grey leather seats and grey carpet had about 3 inches of dirt and dust on it.Ontop of paying way too much for this repaire I had to spend almost $300.00 more at another shop to detail and remove the overspray. They are not friendly and will not call to inform you of the progress of your repaire I had to call them to find out if my car was ready. A few days ago i brought my red dodge durango in to repair the fender. I was quite surprised by the service I received. Not only was the service extraordinary, but everyone was kind, gracious AND PROFESSIONAL. more

I dont know where to began. I took my car in to have a damaged paint job repaired after my insurance company suggested them, to start off with the owner and head mechanic was very cold and rude. I took my auto in January 21 and I did not get it back untill the ninth of Febuary. I was told by the owner that I would get it back by Friday the 25th I called him on the 24th and he told me at that time that I would not have it back before next Friday the 1st so I called on the 31st and he said it wont be ready untill the middle of next week so I called on the 3rd and he said it wont be ready till the 9th at 2pm in the afternoon so I called at 1:30 on Friday and he said it wont be ready untill 5:30 or 6pm that evening I get there and it still was not ready the next thing I am told is that he cant take credit cards. for the deductible. So I had to run around to banks and get cash. Meanwhile, he bought my car upstairs and parked it outside in the dark. After making the payment he locked his door, and left before inspecting the car with me, and told me my car was parked on the street in a dark shaded area. I first had to use Manhattan Autocare, which was recommended by my insurer, The Hartford, in September 2007. This was my first experience ever with needing auto body work. The patience exhibited with my inexperience, and personable, professional people made a stressful situation less nerve-wracking. They explained the processes involved and didn't treat me like I needed to read ""Body Repair for Dummies,"" before I arrived on their doorstep. more

I'am very particular as to where I take my vehicle to be repaired when it needs it. I have USAA insurance and I got into a minor accident which left a few bumps and scratches on my beautiful car my Porsche. I was refered to Manhattan auto care by USAA. First off the Customer Service there was amazing they took care of me right away with no hesitation and accomadated my every need. Which in the end just made me feel a big relief that I would be leaving my car with such great people. I had no worries. The day before my car was ready I recieved a phone call from the receptionist letting me know it would be ready the next day and at what time. I really thank them for everything and getting my car done. And being so professional in what they do, I am very happy. Pros: customer service more

This is honestly the first auto repair shop I have been to that I can say has changed the way I think about mechanics and their reputation. When I went to Manhattan auto care the Owner and receptionist were very nice and made me feel comfortable. They took a look at my car, ordered the parts and had my car ready in no time. It made it very convienient for me as I do work and do not have time to go back and fourth they made it so easy. I would definitly take my car there in the future if I was ever to need it. This will be the place I go for all my repairs. Pros: Very convenient. more

I went to manhattan auto care, I had my first accident. I was told by Geico to go to this shop and that if I had my work done here it would be guaranteed for life. When I went to the shop everyone there was very helpful the Owner was very kind and cheerful and knew exactly what had to be done to my car. My car was done on time with no problems and when I saw my car my mouth dropped it looked better than new. They had washed my car before giving it to me and the best part was the price was very reasonable. I would defenitly reccomend this place. Anyone who is looking to go somewhere and recieve the best work, quality and feel comfortable with leaving your car with very professional people. This is defenitly the place to go. One positive aspect is the manager Andrea, she is very polite and tries to be helpful but ultimately is not knowledgeable and disorganized. The experience declines from there. The owner, and chief mechanic, is rude and not involved. The work was poor overall. It took a week to get a tune up and part replcement. Multiple daily phone calls were required to get a proper estimate, check if the work was done (no one will call you when your car is ready), and remind these folks repeatedly what work was to be done even though there was a clear list on the estimate. The service was expensive and there is no pride in the workmanship here, my car was filthy, with debris and used beverage cans in the car. To top it all off the part that was replaced didn't work and I was back the next day for them to properly connect it! These folks are the reason mechanics have a bad reputation. I have had issues with many car places and thought that had found a place that would do the job right and not cause any issues. I was wrong. When I picked up my car I noticed that they dented the other side of my car and gotten paint all over the interior of my car. Now I have to go to another shop to get my dent fixed. It gives me great pleasure recommending Manhattan Auto Care. I recently experienced my first fender bender and I was a nervous wreck. I called several establishments and MAC gave me the best quote without feeling ripped off. The manager (who was very knowledgeable) asked me to fax over my damages in advance . When I delivered my vehicle the parts were ordered saving me time, money and not being inconvenienced of not having my car. They are definitely committed to customer satisfaction. more
