I own a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with 25,000 miles on it. I bought it from Mac Haik a couple years ago and that's another story (also not great). Because it was under warranty I wanted to go back to where I bought it.
I went in for 3 things
1) Check Engine Light was on
2) Tire rotation & balance
3) Oil Change
After leaving only 1 of the 3 things had been done right, the Oil Change.
1) Check engine light came right back on 1 day after. They told me that the ""system needed and upgrade"" and that's why it was on. That's a load. Your engine light does not just ""come on"" unless something triggers it. They failed to tell me what the issue was. Instead, he spent 10 minutes telling me that my warranty was almost out and trying to sell me a new warranty. No help
2) The tires were rotated and balanced. Apparently nobody actually DRIVES the car after doing work on it. The whole truck has begun vibrating after clearly what is a failed balance job.
3) I was also told that the lug nuts holding my tires on were ""ruined"" by whoever put the tires on. Well guess who put them on? Mac Haik did. So they tried to sell me all new nuts for the tires. $120 worth. After I told them that I wasn't responsible for screwing them up they ""found"" some used ones that they could use. Well, when I picked up my truck guess what they had done with the old nuts. Just threw them in the back of my truck like it's a dumpster. Not only did i have the old garbage in there, they WEREN'T RUINED! So I'm not sure what kind of crap they were pulling, but any monkey with a wrench could have easily put them on or taken them off.
Finally, I drove the 30 miles from Austin after they told me that the service would take about an hour and a half. After getting there I was told it would take all day. Who can afford to lose a day of work over tires getting rotated and an oil change? I would have brought someone to give me a lift if they had just told me that to begin with.
All in all this experience has been absolutely horrible. I now have to go back and basically start all over again, waste another day or two of my time.
Seriously, if you want service done, do not take your car here.
