Thank you again for all your help. You are really on top of it. Some offices could care less about you, but you are always ready to help out.

I am SOOO Happy! 4/14/2011

I wore glasses starting at about age 15 (I am 36 now), and never thought much about it. Until I noticed I was seeing double. It would happen when I was driving and had to turn around to view my blind spot, or when I was laying down on the couch watching TV. So I went to see Dr. Lenart and he told me I have strabisthmus (sp?), a condition that mostly occurs in children. I guess I have had it all my life but recently (after the birth of my 2nd child) it became more pronounced. In any case, he scheduled me for surgery 2 weeks later. I was black and bloue for a couple of days, but within a week I could see normally. I not only DON'T have double vision anymore, but I don't even need my glasses for nearsightedness! I am SOOO Happy! He is a great Dr. and his team of nurses are very thorough! He is now my regular eye Dr. and I see him yearly for a check-up...along with the 10 olther kids in the waiting room each time! :) Oh well! more

He is a person of integrity 4/8/2011

Our experience with Dr. Lenart has been very positive, even though our account accidently got sent to collections, too. When I let the office know about this mistake, Dr. Lenart was on the spot to fix the problem. He is a person of integrity and takes care of problems from the tiny ones in your kids' eyes, to the overall picture to keep his office running, even when there is a bump or two in the paper trail. His primary concern is his patients. Our son Josh was 8 and his vision was almost gone in one eye due to ""lazy eye"" (at 8 it's usually too late) -- but by adhering exactly to Dr. Lenart's instructions -- Josh's vision is back and he's back to doing things 12 year-olds like best, like reading war books and playing spy games and impressing us with his extensive vocabulary and history knowledge, all things that would not be possible if he couldn't see. Our next son has ambliopia in both eyes, as does the next, who has down's syndrome. Both of them are on a treatment plan and are enjoying a normal childhood, that we don't even think about it. Our next child is a girl, who has ambliopia and is very curious, and Children's Eye nurtures her questions, and lets her touch things she wants to learn about. She's right up there with the computer screen and eye lenses, and they just explain each thing, like no big dea. Their positive approach to my childrens' educational minds is second to none! Dr. Lenart is easygoing and very intellegent. I took our kids to Childrens, where we met him first, then scheduled my kids at his office. I asked why he was leaving the U, and he said it was a tough decision because he really enjoyed the educational atmosphere at the U, but his own practice was getting so busy he didn't have the time to do both. Kudos to a successful mentor and respected physician! His practice will resolve the collections issue. Schedule with confidence. more

Couldn't be happier 4/1/2011

My two kids and I visited Dr Sahota and Dr Mantel a couple of weeks ago and we couldn't be happier with the service! I saw Dr Mantel for an eye exam (she seems to be the one that see's adults with no lazy eye problems), and she walked me through everything she was doing and made me feel so comfortable. My two kids saw Dr. Sahota and she made my kids feel important. My 7 year old was extremely nervous about the whole ""eye drop"" thing but was so surprized everything went so well and said she was happy to go back again next year. It helped too that they give out a cookie coupon to the kids to redeem at a place across the road and the prize box on the way out of the office was great. They really know how to treat your kids and put them at ease. I am recommending the Children's/Family Eye Doctors to all our friends. more

Great! 10/15/2010

This is in response to the 7/30 and 7/21 reviews below written by the same person in order to get more effect on the web site. It is of note that this patient did not even see Dr. Lenart but another doctor in our office. It is the office policy to charge a no show fee for patients who miss their appointment without any type of phone call. This is a common practice among doctors and dentist offices. Patients are informed about the no show fee on the registration form, web site, on hold messaging and the courtesy reminder call about the appointment. We accept calls up to the time of the appointment. Even after the fact we will waive the fee for urgent situations. In the event that someone ""just forgets"" or ""got confused"" leaveing an open appointment that could have been filled by someone on the waiting list or who really wanted to show up, we charge a $25 no show fee. In this instance, the patient called after they missed the appointment to reschedule for another day. We document all no shows, reschedules and cancels in multiple places. more

Common theme with billing issues-go elsewhere 7/30/2010

To be fair, I would give Dr Sahota 4 stars because she's always been great with my kids. We have fantastic insurance so I am not one to normally complain about anything involving a doctor's office. However, I have decided to no longer return to this office. Judging from previous comments, mine is not an isolated incident and in fact, sounds like it dates back several years. Perhaps it coincides with when Dr Lenart's wife came on board as office manager overseeing billing? I'm not sure and I don't know how to appeal to this since it is, after all, his wife. They billed me for a ""no show"" fee which I had dismissed from my account after I spoke with and explained what had happened to a nice woman in billing. They removed the charge & she said that after she ""researched"" it that she would take care of this. I thanked her for her understanding. After 7wks, a bill shows up. I called & spoke with Sylvia who basically said ""well, this isn't in line with what my receptionist told me so this charge will stick and we will go ahead and expect payment."" I'm not kidding. I told her how I already explained this all to someone in billing and they said they researched it. she answered with ""I know who you spoke with. She didn't have the authority to do it so I am going to put it back on your account."" Once again, I was shocked by her lack of understanding. From my perspective, if your office TOLD ME that they ""researched and will resolve"" this by removing it from my account, whether the person was authorized to do so or not, is irrelevant. If she cared an OUNCE for the fact that we have been patients of this office for over 4yrs now and have referred people to them, she would have just said ""we will go ahead and take of it this time but going forward, please know that we cannot excuse this again"". I wasn't expecting her to automatically remove the charge but her office had already done so. This was, in my opinion, poor judgement and poor business practice. If I could have given them zero stars in this review, I would have. I felt very poorly treated by her but see that others have experienced similar issues w/ their billing. I just wish that someone in their office would have a conversation with her about how she talks to clients. Pros: Dr Sahota is a good doctor Cons: Office admins/billing is the WORST you will encounter more

Poorly Run Business 7/21/2010

Poorly run business with unreasonable management. They charged no show fees for errors on their part and refused to take it off despite making an agreement to do so. My family used to (past tense) go to them, until they starting charging fees like an airline. I will undoubtedly be taking my business elsewhere. Pros: Doctors are Ok, Parking Cons: Business office is a nightmare more

Friendly and thorough 11/14/2006
