Cool, elegant, and extremely accomodating 9/2/2008

I had a terrific experience at G Patton recently. I was running a few minutes late for my appointment, which included the works : cut, color, partial foil, wax. Due to my lateness, I didn't have time to drop off my 10 year old son and his buddy at home, and they were forced to sit and wait. And wait. (it's a long process). The stylist that I used was such a good sport, as was the owner and all of the other stylists in the salon. She actually cut the boys' hair while I was processing in an effort to quell their boredom ! At the end of the day we were all ecstatic with our new 'dos and G Patton found 3 regular customers. Pros: calm ambience, comfortable chairs ! Cons: couldn't find any more

DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF ""NATURAL"" 8/30/2008

Let me just tell you that I had very high expectations coming to this salon. It had the best reviews on CitySearch, and I really thought I'd get a look I loved. Pros: A customer brought a dog with him. Cons: Absolutely everything else. more

His creative spirit, his sincere desire for every woman to look her best and his knowledge of current hair styling and therapy techniques are just a few of the reasons I have been going to Glenn Hawker, the owner of GPatton Salon, for over 12 years. GPatton Salon is an exhilarating experience that I freely recommend to all who compliment me on my style. I love watching all of the sylists at work; every client walks out looking great! Pros: All of the stylists are current with the newest cuts and products. Beautiful salon, great music. more

Cannot say enough... 8/14/2008

I have just gotten the best haircut, color, and salon service of my life. I have avoided salons like the dentist because of a few bad experiences. Now I realize I just needed to find this one. The environment is beautiful and the staff is polite and gracious. My stylist Jessica Abrahante did a phenomenal job with my hair. I have already gotten numerous compliments on the cut and the color. I will definitely be back and recommend it (and her) to everyone I know. Pros: EVERYTHING! more

Best salon in Norfolk 8/14/2008

After moving to Norfolk last year, I had my hair totally butchered my an inexperienced stylist at Changes. Luckily I found G Patton and my stylist (Jessica). Not only has she helped me to grow out the worst haircut I've ever had and make it look great along the way, but she is excellent at coloring. I constantly get compliments on how natural my highlights look. I would definitely recommend this salon. Don't go anywhere else. more

I wouldn't recommend any other salon in Norfolk then G Patton Salon. The atmosphere is very inviting and trendy, the stylists are amongst the best in town and you can't beat the prices for the services that they offer. If you are looking to get a great haircut and meet some pretty awesome people then i would definetely recommend G Patton Salon. more

Best Salon Ever! 8/2/2008

Each time I go to G Patton Salon, I feel special from the moment I walk through the door. The person greeting me knows my name and I don't have to explain time after time that I'm there to see so-and-so at such-and-such time. The stylists and knowledgeable and up-to-date on styles, trends, and colors, and make informed suggestions on what will look good for you, not just the latest cookie-cutter style or the same style/color you have had for the last 20 years. The salon is clean and comfortable. It is not geared toward any specific group, so all should feel comfortable here. I recommend this salon over all others in the Norfolk area, even the ""more established"" places. You will not be sorry you walked through the door! Pros: Knowledge of stylists, atmosphere, professionalism, attention to detail Cons: NONE!!!! more

This place rocks! 7/31/2008

Ok, so being a younger dude, I dont really go around bragging about where I get my hair cut, but this place is great. You walk in and wonder am I in Ghent or on Melrose Ave or something. I'm not the most outgoing person in the world but everyone in the place made me feel like I wanted to talk to them all. Very friendly and I feel like they're going to know who I am when I go back. Used to go to another big salong in Ghent and every time I went, the same girl asked if I had been there before. Um yea, you cut my hair, remember??? Can't wait to go back to G-Patton. I see them becoming THE destination in Ghent for hair. Pros: Trendy, friendly, parking, music, DJ's!!!! more

Finally found a great salon in Norfolk! 7/15/2008

I was so relieved to find a salon in Norfolk of this quality. It's about time! You feel like you are a prize client here, not a herded animal. You can talk as much or as little as you feel like. You are not obliged to be chatty, I believe a salon experience should be a treat, not a chore. My hair has never felt or looked better. It's nice to be kept up on new products and their amazing capabilities, nothing worse than getting caught up in a rut when it comes to your style. They keep you in ""the know"" here. I highly recommend G. Patton Salon. more

\r \r G Patton Salon is staffed by knowlegeable, professional, and friendly stylists. I have been going to this salon for quite some time, and see Bruce at the salon. Every time I leave I feel like my hair looks the best it ever has. I enjoy the atmosphere of the salon, there is alway great music and interesting people to talk to. The staff always have great suggestions about new products to use and can assist you in selecting styles and color to compliment your features and personality. The service is incredible, Bruce even came to the location of my wedding to do my hair so I wouldn't have to run around town on my big day. He really took the time to get to know me,, and gave several consultations, trying lots of different styles to help me find the best style for my wedding. I cannot say enough about this place - You HAVE to try it!!!!\r \r more
