Fireside Designs

Purchased a few items for my wood burning stove including a heavy kettle for the top of the stove. The kettle chipped shortly after purchasing and the sales personnel were less than agreeable to assist in the return of the product. I was not impressed with the service! We went to Fireside Designs and found what we liked immediately. They were very knowledgeable. They helped us find the right product and the products arrived quickly. The ordered doors were damaged but they reordered them without us seeing the broken ones. When they installed them, there was a glitch with the gas, so we had to call the gas company to repair it. Fireside Designs came in right after that was repaired. They took care of everything fast, efficiently, and courteously. more

Everyone at Fireside Designs has been very friendly to work with and knew what was going on, on their end. There was a little confusion with the process, we were switching over to propane. They told us that the law in Springfield had recently changed, so everyone seemed a little confused as to what the exact steps were as far as meeting with the different inspectors along the way. It seemed like Fireside was a little out of their realm with who did what next. I think a list of the extra steps and what needs to be done to meet the new law, would be very helpful with the entire process. The only thing I was left wondering about, was that there was an odor coming from it. When I called to ask what they thought it might be, they were going to come out to check it, but then it started to dissipate after a couple of hours, so I told them not to come out. They said they would check with the manufacturer and would get back to me, I still haven't heard back from them about it yet, but I think it's the finish on the metal doors, and it seems to be fading on it's own. Otherwise, it's a great product and very nice people to work with. I would definitely recommend them to anybody! more

They were great. Fireside Designs was very helpful when I had questions. They were accommodating to my schedule. When we realized that the initial install was not working correctly, the owner came right out. He made some adjustments to things and now everything is working as designed. more

Initially I thought I wanted to replace my gas fireplace with a wood fireplace. The owner at Fireside Designs helped me make the right decision by choosing a new type of gas fireplace. I am thankful that he made those suggestions instead of just placing my order. We were very happy with their selection and that they were able to schedule us in before the holidays. more

Fireside Designs was awesome. I had a great experience with them. We had gone to a couple of different stores looking for a certain stove that we wanted, and they were one of the few that had what we were looking for. We shopped around at each showroom and looked at products, but nobody even came close the quality and price at Fireside. They were able to install it in under an hour too. They also gave us a military discount, which nobody else was willing to do. more

The people at Fireside Designs were willing to work with me on how to cut costs and figured out something that was suitable. The end product looks really nice! The only thing was that the fan is really loud--not overpowering, but it's a lot louder than the that of the other furnace we had. That's the only negative from my perspective. I went into Fireside Designs wanting a wood stove. The salespeople were pretty insistent on showing me pellet stoves, and literally stirring me away from the wood stoves, to the point where it was annoying in a way. They did end up talking me out of a wood stove and into buying a pellet stove, so I guess they're really good at what they do. Don't get me wrong, my pellet stove is great and all, but sometimes I wonder if I should have bought the wooden stove like I originally wanted. The installation crew was really good. They came in, were professional and worked quickly. Boom! It was installed. more

Overall very good Gen e was great at going over the features of the stove that I purchased. David that installed it was great ontime explained again the clean out process and the importance to keep certain parts clean. The only bad part was when i WENT IN TO buy the battery backup I was charded twenty dollars more than the posted price due to price increase. He asked gene if they had it in stock and he said they had two left. I understand to go with replacment cost to maintain margins but it was posted on the shelp at the lower price, it just left me with a bad taste in my mouth, one because the salesman went on with the transaction like to bad no real explaining. overall very good very happy with the stove and the level of service that I recieved at install good job look forward to furute business in the years to come. Fireside Designs was absolutely incredible. I walked in there a few months ago, not knowing anything, and they told me about the whole thing. They explained everything in about an hour and a half so that I could walk out of there with a fair bit of knowledge. They installed it, and they did a great job. I was totally blown away! The people at Fireside Designs were polite and were willing to show us anything we asked about. They told us how the pellet stove worked and explained everything pretty well. I found out about Fireside Designs through the internet. I had gone to someone else with the same unit but I didn't like some of the answers nor the way I was treated. I used them just a couple of weeks ago. Give Fireside Designs a chance! Go over there and see their displays. They have a lot of nice ones and a variety to pick from. more

We had never been to Fireside Designs, but we'd heard about them from our daughter and they have a good reputation. We went into their store. Everyone there was very helpful and professional. This was my first experience with Fireside Designs and I thought from the sales to installation, everything was excellent. I am thoroughly satisfied. I was new to both the store and the product. I thought that the salesperson was not pushy at all and was very informative. He worked with me to find the right product to fit my needs. I haven't had a chance to use it yet, but they tested it at the store, so I know it will work just fine. I also thought that the installers were very professional and friendly. We went into Fireside Designs to look at their pellet stoves. We went in because we had a $2000 efficiency voucher from the American Lung Association where you trade out your wood stove for a pellet stove. The voucher had to be used within thirty days, so we were working on a short time frame. Everybody at Fireside was really nice to talk to, very courteous and helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. They were very flexible with us and knew we were working with a short time frame. We ended up purchasing the black stove, which was the floor model we'd been shown. It wasn't until I had a chance to look through the brochure that I realized they came in different colors. That was the only drawback, is that I wish I could have seen options with the colors, I might have purchased a brown one instead. It might have cost more though, and we are very happy with our stove. I wanted to order a pellet stove and since Fireside Designs is a local distributor of the brand I was interested in, I went there. The salesman was very knowledgeable and showed me the style I was interested in and explained how it worked. The brand I wanted was Harmon, and unfortunately they only make a certain number of the stoves, so I went ahead and placed my order. Fireside let me know what day it would come in, and it did arrive on that day. A week prior to it's arrival, they came and prepared the area for it. The installers were great. They were prompt, knowledgeable and clean. My stove works great! more

We first went into Fireside Designs and explained what we wanted to do to a salesman there. He basically told us we couldn't do what we wanted and sent us on our way. We would have never gone back again, except we saw them at a home show and spoke to one of the installers who told us we could do what we wanted to do and gave us Jay's number to call. We spoke to Jay and decided to go ahead and use them. Our experience with Fireside Designs ended up being really great. David and his crew of installers are clearly experts in their field. They are great and did a tremendous job installing our stove. They were prompt and hard-working. I have no complaints there. They were very talented and were able to think outside of the box for our project. They had come out to look before doing the installation, and knew they needed something called the zero clearance cage for the type of installation needed. They were professional and cleaned up after they were done. They were great, they even had a few referrals for me on where to go for tiles etc. Ted Laborde more
