Best

5 of us had five different beers and each of us had the same burger. 5 for 5 on both so I give this place 20 stars. the beer selection is astounding, even for a beer nut like ...

Worst

It's not bad, but not what I'd expected. I went there because my girl friend chose the place and wanted to try it out, and to be honest, I wouldn't go on my own or invite someone ...

Can't think of a burger I would not prefer 3/22/2007

I love burgers, but not from Father's Office. $11? I'd rather have one from McDonald's. I ordered it medium, and it was burned. The gunk they put on top is slimy. Condiments--non-existent. It was so dry, I had to drink my beer to moisten my mouth. Pros: tasty fries Cons: price, burger taste more

The BEST BURGER EVER !!!! 2/22/2007

This place is the best I crave their burgers all the time! I have to go back there again. My friend recommended the place 2 years ago and I've been going there every since. Great crowd - but does get crowded all the time. Burgers are the best ever. I've never had anything else. Great hang-out. Pros: Food is quite quickly served. Beer selection is great. Burgers are the best Cons: Gets crowded. Can have a long wait during 730-9pm more

Burgers great. Seating bad. 1/22/2007

The burgers are awesome BUT it's so hard to get a seat!! Lots of good beers. Wouldn't recommend if you are looking for a nice relaxing dinner. Pretty hectic in there. more

Great Burger, But a Bit of a Hassle 12/26/2006

I recently stopped here for a drink/snack with a friend and was reminded just how much I enjoyed this place - great food and wine, lots of cool people and a casual vibe. But then I was jostled by some frat boys and I remembered why I don't come very often - there is always a huge crowd in this tiny space with very limited seating. It's a bit better since they started making people wait outside, but it's still annoying having to hover over diners to get their tables. I do wish they would get a bigger location. That being said, once I was seated and sipping on my syrah and munching on my burger and sweet potato fries, my annoyance disappeared. The burger is quite amazing, but whether you think it's worth the wait and the hassle is up to you. Pros: Great burger & sweet potato fries; Huge beer selection Cons: Crowded, limited seating, no reservations, no valet more

I DO see and taste what the big deal is. 11/20/2006

Father's Office is your quaint neighborhood pub. It's a very small space, but has a huge clientele. I visited Father's Office on a Saturday at about 3:30 PM and it was a full house. Although it was busy, I was still able to find a set of stools at the bar. We ordered what everyone else had been raving about which was the Office Burger and a cart of fries. Absolutely delicious! I ordered my burger medium rare, and it is not often that I actually get what I consider medium rare. Usually my meat is over cooked, but at Father's Office I got what I ordered. Very juicy and mouthwatering. Also the fries are out of this world. They come with a garlic aioli sauce that is to die for. We didn't have any beer that afternoon, but from what I can tell they had a very extensive beer selection which I will be sure to try next time. I will definitely return. Great place to have a casual dinner with some friends with an amazing tasting burger and a few beers. Cheers! Pros: Office burger, fries with aioli sauce Cons: too small, is always crowded more

Great hole-in-the-wall 11/19/2006

Fantastic beers and quite a selection. Burger is one of the best I've had in L.A. -- meat tasty, gourmet bun, and of course the sweet potato fries rock. Not cheap when you could get 4 from In-N-Out for the same price, but worth it if you're looking for something different but still great. Hard to find a place to sit, and hard to get the attention of the bartenders, but still a great place to go when you just want to chill somewhere good and don't want to deal with show-offy folks. Pros: Bar menu and beers, hands down. Cons: Lack of space. Then again, it's kinda cool too. more

Good burgers, good beer, good crowd...but wish they'd expand 11/11/2006

I almost wish they'd commit to being JUST a bar or JUST a restaurant, because there's not enough space to be both - even though they're good at both. Great beer selection and friendly bartenders. Good crowd of 20-30somethings who appreciate good beer. And also great burger with blue cheese on it. I don't even like burgers and I crave theirs...but I never want to go there and deal with the hassle of stalking tables before I get to eat. Anyway, if you're going for the burger go early so you get a table. If you're going for the beer, go whenever and enjoy! more

Overrated burgers, great beer 11/8/2006

Yes, they do use top-shelf ingredients for their burger and they've evidently done a fair amount of R & D on getting their burger cooked just right. The problem is, they didn't get there. I've had their burgers on numerous occassions and they've always been to done on the outside and under-cooked on the inside. more

Great burger if you can find a place to eat it 11/5/2006

I thought the burgers here were fantastic, and they had a great selection of beers to go with, but on a Friday evening, I think I would go somewhere else. It took ages to get a seat (our burgers were already in our hands) and when we finally did sit down, the people that were waiting for seats were practically sitting in our laps. Maybe a weekday night instead? Pros: Great food, great beer Cons: All the people, small spot. more
