I read the mixed reviews before going to Emerils while visiting Atlanta. My wife and I had been to Emerils in Las Vegas, and had a great experience, so I expected nothing less in ...

Loved it! 7/12/2004

We had a wonderful dinner here. I had to make my reservations about 1 month ahead of time to get prime time on a Saturday night but it was worth planning ahead. Every part of our meal was outstanding from the drinks, apps, wine, dinner and desert. We did sit in the wine tower and found it very cozy but when the restaurant filled up it was noisy. We had the lobster ravioli, prime rib, sea scallops and bananna cream pie. The waiter was also very helpful with picking out a wine. Definatly worth trying. Pros: Service, Food quality Cons: , Expensive more

We went to emeril's for my birthday. When we made the reservations online my botfriend mentioned that we would be celebrating my birthday. Our fantastic waiter Marty brought a special appetizer to the table prepared special by the chef. Marty said this want complimetry for my bithday. We had an amazing meal both entrees suggested by marty. We had duck and filet. Many waiters stoped by the table to wish me a happybithday. Desert was creme brulet also complimentry for my birthday. more

Sub-par ..emphasis on sub 2/4/2004

This was the worst fine dining experience I've had in Atlanta. I even wrote to the corporate office about it. The food was average compared to Joel, P&Ps, etc. The ambiance while noisy was very good. But the service was terrible. We were waited on by a flurry of different people who interrupted our conversation every 5 minutes to ask obvious questions. We were constantly rushed. While in the middle of dessert, a server came up and literally dropped the check on the table and then walked off, only to come by 5 minutes later, while we were still eating, pick it up and drop it again once she noticed we hadn't placed payment in it yet. They need to take a lesson from Emerils in NO or any of the fine establishments in Atlanta on service, it wouldn't hurt for the chefs work a little harder on the meals. Pros: Interior design, Drinks, Wine tower Cons: , Food more

Oustanding 9/23/2003

From the moment we walked in the door, the service was superb. We did not have to wait for our 8:00 reservations, and the wait staff was remarkable. The food service was synchronized, and the waiter was quite knowledgeable about all of the menu items and wine pairings. Now for the best part - the food! Every bite was amazing. We had the lobster cheese cake, crab cakes, and steak stuffed with oysters and rack of lamb, and the group shared several desserts, all wonderful. The banana cream pie, though, was divine. I wasn't blown away by the crab cake, but everything else was fantastic. OK, maybe the lobster bisque was a bit salty. For appetizers, 3-4 glasses of wine, entrees, and desserts, our meals, with tip, were just under $100 apiece, but worth every cent. Pros: fantastic service, people watching, Amazing food! Cons: price, a little stuffy more

Great Value, Food rushed Service 9/22/2003

One of the best bargains in fine dining in the Atlanta area. The average entree was about $24. You can spend that much at Long Horns. The food was excellent and the menu is different than other Emerils (Vegas, Orlando) Ive been to. Lobster Cheesecake appetizer is a must. Anything beef is wonderful. I am going back to try more. Service is a little rushed. Our salads arrived 2 minutes after we ordered them. The wait staff is still a little unsure of themselves. However, the place has only been open a couple of weeks, so it should improve. Pros: Value, Food Cons: Rushed service more

Rude Host 9/8/2003

Host working front desk was my first contact when walking in the restaurant & he was by far the rudest host I've encountered in any Atlanta restaurant. After finaly being acknowledged and seated, the evening looked up. Our server was very friendly and overall table service was great. Food was amazing. Other than the RUDE Host on the way in, and again on the way out, Emerils was a great experience. Cons: service more
