i travel extensively all over the counrty and in other countries as well. this store was a great find on my way through the area. they have a great selection, are knowledgeable, and unlike a review i read, they are not expensive at all. i found the prices to be very reasonable and i buy dancewear on a very regular basis. great to find a small local business serving the community and offering superb customer service to boot! i'll shop there again and have items shipped when not in the area. thanks for a great experience! more

Great Stuff, Great Service! 5/28/2009

Dorothy's almost always has what I need for my dancing. The staff is helpful and is aware of the different dance companies and theatrical productions going on whenever I walk into the store. They do help with sizing very much, but I would complain that they don't have as much variety in both their leotards (color-wise, especially) and the different brands that they carry. more

VERY RUDE 9/7/2008

I couldn't believe how hard this place was to find and one of the numbers on the internet was wrong. When I drove 2 hours and finally found it. I explained to the owner my terrible experience and she was incredibly rude when I was just trying to help her fix the problem. The selection was terrible and the store is a complete and total disaster. This store is NOT associated with the Dorothys in San Antonio. more

Dorothy's has the best selection of dance shoes, dancewear, costumes, bags and accessories of any dance store around. Their staff was very friendly and helpful and knew what the studios were requiring and were they to help with all fittings. This store has everything for all my students from two year olds to my adults. They are the premier and oldest retail store in central Texas for good reason. I give them two thumbs up. more

Cute Dance Shop 11/5/2005

This boutique dance shop provides a large selection of items for your little (or big) dancer. There was a great selection of items to choose from on the clearance rack that was right in my budget when buying for my daughters ballet class. Some of the other non clearanced items were expensive but the quality is better than some other stores that sell the same items for a lot less so it is a good investment as you do not have to worry about the item falling apart after the first wash. Shoes are high quality as well althoguh we didn't buy any there as it was out of our price range. PROS: Large Selection CONS: Somewhat expensive more

Everything for the dancer in your life! 9/12/2005

Dorothys has been around for quite some time and the first time I went in I was in shock! I needed a couple leotards and skirts and she had such a great selection that we found exactly what we needed and more! The prices were very competitive with other stores and she stands behind everything she sells. The clerk was a sweet as she could be and was very helpful. I'll definately be back! more
