Best

It seemed like something was always going wrong with my dryer. I've tried many times to remedy the situations myself, but it never did the job. I eventually called Doc's, and fina...

Ok it's Saturday around 3 pm and I'm 11/14/2011

Ok it's Saturday around 3 pm and I'm having 12 of my friends over for dinner. So I go to the kitchen to start dinner. And I hear a beeping from my Frig. Its Saturday and I start calling around. NO one wants to send anyone out. I call Doc's I tell them whats up and the owner comes out in person to help me. Joe worked until 6:40 pm to fix i,t while I'm working on dinner. Doc's Rocks and my guests never know how close we were to carry out pizza and beer. The service ever!!!! more

repair service and CUSTOMER service 8/22/2011

The 3 times i have had to call the company the lady that answers the phone is always rude and comes across like I'm bothering her. They have been late 2 times in a row for appointments without an update. The last repair guy came out to check our dishwasher for issues, he literally looked at the front of dishwasher, opened it closed it and said he needs to order a new circuit board. Cant wait to see the installation process. more

Excellent Service!! 12/6/2010

We have always had excellent service at Doc's. One winter our elderly furnace boiler went out and instead of coming out & charging for a visit, they told my husband what to do over the phone to see what exactly the problem was and had the correct part waiting for him when he got to the store. \r \r They've always had the parts we need for whatever problem that comes up, from the washer to the stove to the furnace.\r \r The employees are all very nice. more

Do not hire Doc's 10/20/2010

I cannot stress strongly enough that this business should be avoided. A repairman came out to check our KitchenAid dishwasher for two problems (springs in door were shot and door handle kept getting stuck). A second visit was required after parts arrived, and the price was hefty. For awhile both problems seemed repaired. However, after about 3 months the new springs were no longer keeping the door from dropping, and then a few weeks later the handle started sticking again. I contacted Doc's and eventually received a phone call from Tom. After listening to Tom talk in circles for 15 minutes(the man loves the sound of his own voice), he finally offered to send someone out for $59(!) to see if the parts were defective - no possibility of his repairman doing a lousy job! He refused to see how unlikely it was that BOTH repairs could possibly fail within four months, and refused to take ANY responsibility. DO NOT hire Doc's Appliance Service! more

Doc's is the WORST 10/20/2010

After spending a small fortune on labor and parts for Doc's to repair two separate problems with our KitchenAid dishwasher (spring shot in door / handle sticking), the door started dropping open again after 3 months, and a few weeks later the handle kept getting stuck again. I spoke with Tom, and after listening to him talk in circles for 15 minutes (the man LOVES the sound of his own voice) he offered to send someone out at a cost of $59 to us(!), to see if the two unrelated parts were both defective - no way that Doc's repairman could be to blame! He refused to admit that it was WAY too big of a coincidence for these two unrelated repairs to have failed within weeks of each other. In this economy, take your money to a more reputable and deserving business! more

DOC'S SUCKS! 9/3/2010

Doc's Applicannce is the worst company I have ever dealt with. More accurately, their owner (JOE) is the worst humann being on our planet! LOL AVOID this company at ALL COSTS! If you need warranty work... ANYONE will be better as no-one could possibly be worse! more

Doc's Applicance is a RIP OFF! 9/2/2010

We purchased a $12,000 build in side-by-side fridge and freezer --- it was in the model home we purchased. It was new and still under warranty. However, when Doc's came out to to the warranty work they told us that it was not under warranty and they quoted us a price of (GULP) $5,000 to repair a faulty refrigeration unit. I think they did this because they thougt I was a stupid blonde who would just put it on my charge card. LOL Instead, I re-contacted the warranty service center... and they contacted Doc's, told them it WAS COVERED. Doc's did not like the $3,000 they were to be paid under their service contract, so the OWNER called us and told us we would need to pay the $2,000 difference to have the machine pulled out and then reinstalled. \r \r LUCKILY the warranty service center helped us find another better contractor to do the work. AMAZINGLY, the the work was done without moving the machine AT ALL as the unit is accessed by the top front. The best part... the company who did the job said the total RETAIL PRICE would have been about $2000. My cost? ZERO!! \r \r DOC's Applicance is a TOTAL RIP OFF and the owner is a jerk. AVOID!!! more

Bad experience 7/31/2010

Terrible service & the customer service and management was not much better. more

Very disappointed 7/26/2010

We would not recommend this company. more

why would you want to go anywhere else? 11/20/2008

I have dealt with other companies in the past but have never been satisfied. Then the whopper happened, the built in kitchen aid refrigerator stopped working! oh no! Now what. So we called for service through our normal avenues. Yeah rite lol. That was a joke. then a friend of the family said to call docs appliance and so we did. It was one of those moments in your life when you say to yourself ""Where have you been all of my life"" The technician Scott and the service manager tom handled everything. It was under manufacturer warranty for parts thank goodness. unfortunately labor was not covered through whirlpool, but no matter, the other companies wanted like 3 grand to fix it because they don't do whirlpool warranty. docs did it for under a grand and were dedicated to making it work in my opinion better then it did before! Its a 6 thousand dollar refrigerator and docs was a blessing. I will continue to use them and would recommend them to anyone. As for the negative people all i have to say is: you are few and far between positive word of mouth is the most powerful form of advertising and in a very small community like utica it worked miracles for me! Pros: theyll do whatever it takes Cons: unfortunately appliances brake more

Patient and professional 11/8/2008

We had a problem with our old washer & dryer and thought the appliance repair would never be able to find parts. They were very honest with us and told us the washer would cost more to repair it than it was worth. They searched high and low and finally came up with parts for the dryer. We had called dozens of places and they couldn't locate parts, but Doc's did, and we were grateful for that. Their charges I think were fair, and they didn't even complain that we had to reschedule the repair a couple of times because of family problems. We will definitely use them again and highly recommend them to all. Five stars! Pros: Polite, patient, fair. more

The worst service I've EVER experienced. 10/11/2008

This dealer is terrible. I would not trust then to change my lightbulb! The attitude of the management is even worse than their employees. Frankly, I can't imagine that tthey will survice the economic downturn. We all deserve much better. Pros: Location Cons: A total lack of a moral compass!! more

Lousy service, rude ownership and good luck getting Whirlpool factory service from them on a major appliance 3/24/2008

We attempted to have them service a major applicance under Whirlpool's warranty. The Whirlpool service people were terrific. Doc's was terrible! The owner/customer service manager at Doc's did not want to repair our appliance under warranty -- because he wanted to only bill us directly because he knew we could be charged a lot more money than Whirlpool would pay them directly under the warranty. In general, this owner (Joe) was the rudest person I have ever dealt with in ANY service industry. IF my experience is typical, I can't imagine why anyone would allow this man to hire people who anyone would want to be in their home. RUN, don't walk elsewhere! Sadly, their service manager seems to be a decent guy... but since the owner seems to make every decision, everyone who works their seems to have to tip-toe around the realities of life working for such a person. A real shame... Pros: Local Cons: Dishonest, rude, and lazy ownership. Did I mention rude? more

Great appliance repair and parts center--100% satisfied! 7/23/2007

Not only does Doc's have reasonable prices, they have very professional and extremely pleasant and courteous service persons. Our washer was expertly repaired very quickly by Doc's Appliance employee, JD, and he gave very good advice regarding possible future issues, as well as what is and isn't worth repairing. Honest, patient, and knowledgeable, JD had no problem taking the time to answer our questions and explain his service steps.\r \r \r In comparison to A&E's lack of customer service, and long waits for service, Doc's Appliances was able to arrange a speedy service date. The girls on the phone were well organized, and polite. Give a choice, I would always choose Doc's Appliance for any of my Whirlpool and Maytag appliances. (Whirlpool recommends A&E, but NEVER choose them. Just look up A&E complaints--there are just too many!)\r \r \r We are 100% satisfied, and HIGHLY RECOMMEND Doc's Appliance Service to anyone within their Michigan service area. Pros: reasonable price, very efficient service personnel, professional and courteous employees more

Excellent place to get parts and service 11/26/2006

We have used Doc's for home appliance service, and have also had our microwave oven repaired there. It is also the best (and closest for us) place to get parts when I attempt repairs myself. Always professional and helpful. more

Someone you can count on 6/3/2006

Honest and professional, on time for appointments. Everything is quoted in advance so there are no surprises. They've been out several times and they are also taking care of other family members. They're also not afraid to tell you something is not worth fixing because the cost would be too much. Some other places would fix it and charge you an arm and a leg. We're very happy with Doc's App. and so is our family. more
