I have been a patient of Dr. Sara Jurney for over 4 years so I was not surprised to learn that she had recently been awarded ?Doctor of the Year?. She is truly an incredible physician and gives her patients nothing but the best care possible. She takes the time to make you feel completely comfortable and diligently answers any and all questions. I never hesitate referring her or Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith to friends and everyone I have referred has been delighted with their experience. The staff at Complete Women?s Care Center is incredibly helpful and works hard to create a very relaxing environment. I just pulled up their address on Citysearch to refer them to another friend and was appalled at one of the reviews posted below. It?s unfortunate that these extraordinary doctors have to deal with patients like that. I look forward to getting pregnant and continuing my care at Complete Women?s Care Center. more

I work at the hospital where Dr. Jurney practices, she has operated on me, I know her personally and work with her closely. Anyone in the area knows that she is one of the best Ob/gyns in Houston. Most of the nurses and doctors at the hospital go to see her which really says something, and she was voted ""physican of the year"" in 2007 by the staff at the hospital who see her work every day, including at the best and worst moments. I have never met anyone who doesn't love Dr. Jurney, she is just one of those people who gets along with almost everyone, she is an excellent surgeon and highly skilled obstetrician. In regards to some negative comments below , everyone is entitled to their opinion, and there is not a person in the world who is loved by everyone, but I can tell you that Dr. Jurney comes close! This is a woman who has given her life to help people, saves lives regulary, spends time away from her family to care for people she barely knows, and is kind and caring to her patients and hospital staff. I want to start by saying if it was not for Dr. Hardwick-Smith I know I would not be living the life I have now. I have had female problems since I was in my teens, for over 20 years I have been in and out of numerous OB/GYN offices in many states. Dr Hardwick-Smith was the only one who started the visit in her office, where she listened to me and and asked Questions about my history, taking the time to understand and really care about what was wrong and how I felt, instead of rushing me thru and telling me it was all in my head or was just like here take this medicine like so many other Doctors had done. The day of my surgery She was there making sure I had the best care every step of the procedure, she was kind, and compassionate always explaining everything, Through out my whole ordeal I never felt rushed or that I was a bother to her like so many other doctor's in the past had made me feel. To atttest to her skills as a surgeon, after my hysterectomy, I was up walking and in no pain the very next day. I was just amazed and grateful that I took the advice of a friend and went to see Dr. Hardwick-Smith. Because from the moment I made my appointment, thru the surgery and the visits after I have always been treated with respect and caring from the person who answers the phone, to the person who checks me out. They all are wonderful caring people, who stop and give you the time and care you need to understand everything. So the next time you are waiting a few extra minutes, remember maybe a baby is being born, or maybe the patient before you is needing a few extra minutes to understand what is going on with them. Because I can reassure you, Dr Hardwick-Smith and her staff will do the same for you. Pros: The Doctor really CARES ! more

In regards to the last review I am a patient of Dr.HS and Complete Women's Care Center. Just to clear the air They DID NOTIFY me of city search and writing reviews. There is alot of people out there that will spread bad experiences faster than the GOOD. You really cant make all happy; unfortunately that's just the bottom line! but I will support my doctor to the fullest especially because she not only has been a great doctor she has helped me through some tough times in my life. And as you can see has helped many people with precious gifts like children that wasn't the experience for me but I am very happy to see the positive support she has been given. There are many doctors that I am sure have not made all people happy and apparently she is one of them but again life isn't always peaches and cream and i am sure what every made any one unhappy wasn't intentional, just life. I agree with the reviewer below! Capable, Compassionate and Caring sums it up when you are talking about Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith! She has been there with me through two very difficult pregnancies. In the first, she was able to make the difficult diagnosis of appendicitis in my 5th month, and stayed with me and assisted during the surgery to make certain that the baby was all right. The second time, my pregnancy had a difficult beginning, and when I began to have concerns about the baby she saw me immediately and was very caring and kind toward me when I was upset. When I came back to the office and there was no longer a heartbeat, Dr. HS was gentle and kind to me, and I felt as if she treated me as if I was a good friend. During the surgery to remove the fetus, I hemmoraged on the table and Dr. Hardwick Smith's quick reaction and subsequent transfusions literally saved my life. If it wouldn't be for her, I wouldn't be here for my two girls. Every time I think about how grateful I am for my children, I think of Dr. Hardwick-Smith and thank God that we have a doctor like her. I just had to write in regarding these incredible physicians! The last time I was at my pediatrician's office in the waiting room, I overheard a conversation between two other women who were waiting for their appointments. Each of them was exclaiming over how much they loved their ob/gyns, and each one INSISTED that her ob/gyn was THE BEST EVER. I smiled to myself, knowing that after years of being in the care of Dr. Susan Hardwick-Smith that I was the one that had THE BEST doctor, for years as single woman and then during and after the births of my three boys. My smile widened as the conversation reached a feverish pitch, and then they both realized that they had the SAME ob/gyn, and I flat out laughed aloud when I heard them exclaim ""Dr. Hardwick-Smith is my doctor-she's yours too??!!!"" I couldn't help but turn around and tell them that Dr. Hardwick-Smith was my ob/gyn also,and we all began to discuss our incredible experiences with her, her associates, and her office. I have referred many, many friends and relatives to her, and every single time I get a grateful ""thank you"" phone call from the person I referred. Her office staff is professional, efficient and compassionate. Her nurse, Pam and her PA Brandi are some of the most caring women I have ever met. I feel so fortuate to be a patient of this Doctor and this Office. Not only do they celebrate with you in the ""fun"" moments, they are right there with you during the difficulties that sometimes accompany our lives as females. OVER 20 YEARS I HAVE GONE FROM ONE OBGYN TO ANOTHER, TRYING TO FIND A GOOD DOCTOR THAT UNDERSTANDS ME OR EVEN CARES. I HAD REAL PROBLEMS WITH NO REAL ANSWERS. SOME DOCTORS MADE ME FEEL CRAZY. THE COMPLETE WOMEN'S CARE CENTER WAS GOD SENT. THE ATMOSPHERE IS RELAXING THE CLINIC IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE STAFF ARE NICE, FRIENDLY AND THEY MAKE YOU FEEL SPECIAL. DR HARDWICK-SMITH IS A WONDERFUL DOCTOR THAT CARES. I AM TRULY BLESSED I HAVE FOUND HER. SHE LISTENED, UNDERSTOOD AND WAS VERY COMPASSIONATE AS I BEGIN TO HER MY PROBLEMS. I HAS SURGERY AND WENT HOME THE SAME DAY. I have been a patient of Dr Hardwick -Smith since 2003. After two full term pregnancies, and one miscarrige in between, I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the Doc and her staff!!!!!!!!!!!I I was refered to her by my best freind who is a Dentist, and later realized my sister-in-law ,who is also a Doctor, was also a patient of hers. Since my very first appointment i have always felt very comfortable and confident in placing my life and my babies lives in her hands. Its amazing how many different things can go wrong in a pregnancy and in a delivery and there is no one else I would have felt more at peace with knowing she would take good care of us. She always made herself available to me and even gave me her direct pager # in case i went into preterm labor. Her staff (especially Leticia) always made sure i kept my appointments and had my referal appointments asap. Dr. H-smith has a wonderful bedside manner and has always been very proffessional. I have been going to Dr. Hardwick-Smith for about 3 years now and she is fantastic. I was referred by friends and have referred several friends, all of which are thrilled with her. I have been most impressed by her great bedside manner; she makes the time to sit down and talk with each patient, outside of the exam room, to find out about their needs and let them know a little bit about herself and her approach. After a huge health scare and visits to several types of doctors, Hardwick-Smith was the first one that was able to offer me any sort of peace about my new condition. I am not pregnant, nor have I ever had a child, but she has always treated me as though I was one of her most important patients. She has been very honest with me about the best form of treatment/care. The staff has always been quick to help me and I have never had to wait longer than a few minutes to see the doctor. I have been thrilled with Dr. Hardwick-Smith as my OB/GYN. We are about to deliver our first child and we really couldn't have asked for a better experience. Dr. Hardwick-Smith is compassionate, patient, and thorough. She manages to be an excellent physician and an actual human-being at the same time! \r \r The office is run really well, which is a testament to the physicians who set an excellent tone for their business. I'd just like to speak up as a patient of Dr. Hardwick-Smith's. I've been her patient for 2 years and she has been nothing but amazing. On a technical level, my husband has been a surgeon in the medical center for 8 years and knows her reputation is one of an EXCELLENT physician. He said that if I ever needed a c-section, he'd be totally comfortable with her performing it (unlike many OB/GYNs who are not so surgically gifted...). \r \r She is one of those amazing doctors who has the ability to not only be a thorough and knowledgeable physician, but also someone who can connect with people. As I am going through my first pregnancy now, Dr. H-S is so patient with my questions and her staff has been fantastic about returning phone calls. I've never waited longer than 15 minutes for one of my appointments--which is remarkable, considering the often emergent-nature of the specialty.\r \r I found out about Dr. H-S from 2 friends (one who is a physician herself) who were singing her praises. Since then, over 20 of our extended circle of friends now goes to her. These are smart, educated, and very particular women who have left their current OB/GYNs to switch to Dr. H-S. BEST DOCTOR IN HOUSTON! Everyone is entitled to her opinion, but It saddens me to see patients who judge quickly and intentionally sow seeds of discord about Dr. Hardwick-Smith and her practice. Hopefully, the sharing of my experience will give you a better perspective and thorough evaluation. I have been seeing Dr. H-S since 2001, way before I became a new mommy on Mar. 20, 2008. I have been under her care for over 10 yrs and counting. Without hesitation, I can say she consistently provides excellent care to her patients, pregnant or not. I am one of several patients who agree that she has a reputation for being the best of the best. I have high expectations and wouldn't settle for second best. She's caring, gentle, encouraging, straightforward, understanding and altruistic. There's no other doctor in town who possesses similar qualities and extends a wide array of services for women. I was scheduled to deliver on a Monday, but baby came on Thurs. Her office staff is quite efficient. If you have to wait a few minutes, it's not because of them, it's probably because of patients like me who went into labor unexpectedly and needed the doctor's attention immediately. I had an uncomplicated pregnancy/delivery, but my recovery was not so. I developed mastitis (breast infection) and was in a lot of pain. I had every possible symptom there is. I called the office after hours. Dr. H-S called me within minutes, and right away i had my prescription to begin treatment. She even sent me a message that the pharmacy had my prescription and hoped I feel better soon. That wasn't all. It was Sunday, 7pm (dinner time), and it was her birthday. No other doctor would take time from her family to do this. I write this from experience: SHE'S THE BEST DOCTOR IN HOUSTON! I am definitely a biased outsider here, but as the hubby of one of the crew at CWCC, I have witnessed first hand the care and concern that the docs and staff have for the patients. I cannot count how many times my wife's phone has rung or buzzed with a text message regarding a patient from earlier in the day - whether pregnant or not! My wife has worked at several offices and we have kids so, while I have never been treated at an OB-GYN office, I have seen the differences in care and treatment as various places. I have NEVER seen a nicer atmosphere. I have truly witnessed the genuine care that these ladies have for those that untrust themselves to them.\r \r All patients want to walk in and go straight to the back. Doctors get stuck in traffic, too. Doctors have children that get sick, too. Doctors have patients that spend the night in the hospital that they have to go see or that have babies in the middle of the night, so they may not be there, even if you are the first patient of the day. I remember laughing at another patient when my wife was pregnant because she had a 2:00 appointment so she thought that if she got there at 1:30 she would get in faster. Every patient wants the best care possible, so they want their questions answered. Many times, this is what causes a doc's office to run late - answering patients' questions.\r \r Just because one or two people feel entitled and got their ""wittle feewings"" hurt because the world suddenly did not revolve around them does not mean that Drs. Jurney and Hardwick-Smith are bad doctors. They are very busy doctors because they obviously care enough about their patients that the patients come back and refer their friends. They have a very successful practice because they are very well liked and create a comfortable atmosphere for the patient to be treated in. Both of these women are ""decorated"" (having won awards and citations) for their patient care. You won't find much better, if at all.\r \r Ladies keep up the good work! more

Being a patient at the office has been a wonderful experience. I usually conduct research online before I see a physician because I am very particular about the care and attention I receive. I must admit, I read the reviews posted by other users here and was leary of attending my first visit because of the negative ones I came across. The person who set my appointment was extremely helpful and assisted me with all of the questions I had about both physicians (+1!). The atmosphere was inviting (+2!)-the pictures are gorgeous; the staff was polite and met all of my expectations (+3!). I truly feel that Dr. Hardwick-Smith places an emphasis on patient care and I was very impressed. It saddens me to see that not everyone has had the same experience I did and would encourage anyone and everyone to keep an open mind. Do not miss out on the complete care this place has to offer! A huge thank you to the staff for being so patient with your patients and I absolutely love the fresh flowers in the waiting area...Kudos! I disagree with the 2 reviews that say these docs are the worse! I have been to several OBGYN?s and have never been treated better. I think everyone was nothing but professional from the girl who made my appointment to the doctor herself. The doctor took me in her office asked me what my needs were as far as doctors go and what I was coming in for, she then explained to me her practice and what she was able to do for me assuring me that she would be there for me the whole time. I LOVE THIS OFFICE I HAVE SPENT SOME TIME HERE OVER THE LAST 6 MONTHS. THE KNOWLEDGE, AND BEDSIDE MANNER THE DOCTORS SHARE ARE ABSOLUTELY GREAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO MY DAUGHTER , WHO MIGHT I ADD WON'T NEED IT FOR SOME TIME NOW, LOL. I WOULDN'T CHANGE DOCS FOR ANYTHING. This is the most disorganized office I have ever been to! I have waited at least 45 minutes for each of my three appointments. - even when I had the first appointment of the day. Don't expect the staff to follow through with anything they say. I had to call seven times before someone finally returned my call regarding records transfer - only to find out they never sent the request to my prior doctor. Another staff member took over a week to get back with me to schedule an appointment. The doctor I saw only once, Dr. Hardwick-Smith, has a real superiority complex that she seriously needs to get over! And this is just the small stuff!. TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL OFFICE! First let me say that this place is wonderful from the staff to the doctors! They advertise painless laser hair removal so I went in for my free consultation with Missy (aesthetician) to discuss getting my bikini area treated and she was so knowledge and patient. She answered all of my questions and never made me feel rushed. I even got my first treatment for free! She was right it was painless! I have had 3 treatments so far and I have hardly any hair left! I plan on doing more areas I am so impressed! \r Prices are VERY reasonable. \r Pros: Very knowledge and patient. Beautiful office Cons: Parking, can be hard to find. more

I had my first visit to the Complete Women's Care Center today and can't say enough about the level of service and care I received. This place is not only beautiful and comfortable, but the nurses and doctors are top notch. I met with June (Dr. Jurney's MSN, RNC) and she has an incredible bedside manner - I felt comfortable and at ease even though I was going through a tough time emotionally and medically. \r \r I would send my mom and my best friend to this practice - if you are looking for an OB/GYN in Houston this is the place. Dr. Jurney is simply ""the best"" no doubt about it!!!! I have been to several ob/gyn(s) in the past and was never able to find one that just felt right. She has never failed to make sure that every step is made to insure the my needs were met and making sure i understood any and every option I have to make. Dr. Sara Jurney offered great quality service to me and i would highly recommend her. She has ALL the qualities that most doctors TRY to appear but don't because they seem so fake about it.
