I love Dr. Jurney's office. The staff is incredibly friendly and the office is clean and beautiful. So happy I found Dr. Jurney! //MEP

I was going to CWCC for the first time due to an abnormal pap elsewhere and because I had a bad experience at my last OBGYN, I was really excited to go here. Unfortunately, I had...

Amazing Doctors and Staff!!! 9/23/2010

My wife has been a patient at Complete Women's Care Center for almost ten years...and LOVES them. I wish all of my doctors would take lessons from this practice. Women's Complete Care Center is knowledgable, professional, fast and courteous. When my wife first started telling me about her great experiences...I didn't believe her...until I went to an appointment with her. They are incredible at what they do and I can't imagine my wife going to another practice. Dr. Hardwick-Smith delivered my daughters and continues to provide incredible levels of service. A huge THANK YOU to everybody at the Complete Women's Care Center. You truly make the world a much better place!!! more

Great Ob/Gyn Practice! 9/22/2010

My husband and I just recently had our first child and I couldnt thank the doctors at Complete Womens Care Center enough. \r \r I have been a patient there for years for my routine annual exams and I have always loved visiting the office. I was always notified of all of my test results either by phone or email every year I went, which was so comforting. The office is beautiful and the staff are always welcoming!\r \r The time came that my husband and I decided we wanted start a family, but we unfortunately had trouble concieving. The doctors at Complete Womens Care Center helped me in my goal of acheiveing pregnancy and they helped me through a very stressful and emotional time in my life. \r \r The birthing experience was no different - I always felt like I was important at every prenatal visit and never felt like I was rushed in any way. I had a high risk pregnancy and I felt like I was taken care of extremely well. \r \r And finally the true testiment to this practice is that I am an Ob/Gyn physician myself and I wouldnt pick another practice to take care of my needs. Many of my Ob/Gyn collegues choose to go to this practice as well. This is a true testiment to the quality of care you recieve when you are a patient here. Every doctor at this practice is very competent and well trained and that is why I trust my care to them! more

I am the author of ""not worth it"". I was unable to find any way to edit my post so I had to create a new one. After submitting my review, I was contacted by Dr. HS, we communicated back and forth through email, basically just rehashing what happened. When I mentioned to her the things that I was told by her staff about what would happen before, during and after my delivery (meeting all the doctors, circumcision, etc), her attitude came off as I did not comprehend the information in the FAQ sheets and literature given to patients. Had she actually listened to what I said, she would realize I was given the wrong information VERBALLY by her staff. But really all she wanted was for me to edit my review and give more stars. Twice she asked that I consider doing this. I am entitled to my opinion just as much as the next person. Nothing is going to change the crappy experience I had with that office and with her, certainly not a concerned email I received only after writing a bad review. I used this site to help decide what practice I wanted to go with, so I am giving my honest opinion, that which I am entitled to and everyone else has a right to know. and in my honest opinion, this place sucks (except Dr. Beard). Get off your high horse, lady. more

Exceptional Patient Service 8/29/2010

All four of my children have been brought into the world with Dr. Hardwick-Smith. She's always provided the highest standard of care. She's also made the doctor-patient experience a personal one. Susan and her staff helped keep my spirits high and provided life-saving advice when pregnancy complications arose and ensured the safe and healthy arrival of all my children. Complete Women's Care Center is staffed by women, and designed with our needs in mind, and that also made me feel comfortable. I'm glad (and so are James, Andrew, Faith and Grace!) that I chose Susan to be my doctor. Liz more

Best doctor's office experience! 8/28/2010

I was a new patient in this office this week. A friend referred me and I am so happy! The office is so pretty and welcoming, staff were amazing and professional. I saw Dr Hardwick-Smith and she stopped to say hi to me in the hallway and tell me my purse was pretty before I even made it into her office! Felt more like a friend. She talks to you in her office which by the way is gorgeous. I had that unpleaseant exam which was no big deal and they try to make everything all warm and fuzzy as far as the stirrups and all. I got my blood drawn, they email results wihich is awesome so you dont have to call, and with all that I got in and out in less than an hour even though I got lost on the way and was 10 mins late. The nurse Cynthia was so cute and friendly and walked me all the way to check out. I called my friend as I was leaving to say THANK YOU. I only wish I wasn't done having babies so I could be a more regular patient. Everyone needs to know about this place, it is toally like no other doctor's office I have been in before. more

Baby 101 8/2/2010

From the first day, my husband and I have been nothing but satisfied. I can't tell enough of my friends, family, co-workers, or strangers walking with a baby in the belly... just how WONDERFUL this office is! From that first day, they never seize to amaze me and exceed the expectations of what this experience should be like.\r \r After checking out 5 different offices, having lacked something worth respecting this one had to earn the privilege of being ""The One"" . \r \r As a new mother, experience and knowledge was something I lacked, and not only was this staff insightful but respectable! While many places I went had great fronts but lacked in other areas or vice-versa , this was not the case! From person to person, everyone was always aware and charismatic for the patients needs and comments. My doctor was the icing on the cake in every way, flawless as to what our expectations were going in. I had the pleasure of meeting every doctor at least once and was more than comfortable with all. Every worry my husband had was always more than addressed, and for me that was relaxing to know that while I seemed to be absorbing the new blessing coming to our family, he had the silly questions memorized that I always seemed ask till I fell asleep the night before. Everyone has a story to tell and this is our amazing experience! \r Called and scheduled 5 minutes tops on the day of my convenience.\r Arrived and wait time averaged 10 minutes\r Payment and scheduling follow-ups flying colors\r From all the staff consistent professionalism\r Clean rooms, wonderful decor throughout, and for me that says a lot on how you manage your appearance of the services you offer. An office should be prideful and humble to every new mothers experiences and every aspect should be a top priority. My thanks to this staff and Doctors for never disappointing us on every visit into the delivery. We are in talks of when our next child should come and no doubt this will be our forever deserving home to care for our deserving family! \r Pros: The people! Cons: I didn't find out sooner! more

Doctor's office that really cares 8/1/2010

I am so happy to see all the effort Dr HS and her staff are putting into providing amazing service. I have been going to this office for years and they are growing SO fast and are adding new people all the time which is great for them but they haven't lost the personal touch. The front desk staff are gorgeous and wear professional suits, they have fresh flowers, beautiful furnishings, and they ask you to fill out a survey after the visit. Then the office manager even called me to follow up on my survey response! Who gets this from a doctors' office??! I almost fell over. Dr HS does have a wait a times but I am not sure how it could be otherwise, when she has so many patients and spends a high quality time with me whenever I go. If I wait more than a few minutes she apologizes profusely and explains why, like she had a sick patient or had to deliver a baby, go figure. Before she walks out she always says ""can I do anything else for you today?"" People who complain about the wait don't get it... do you want to go to a doctor who has no wait? It is because they don't have any patients. Last time I had to wait 20 mins and a pretty lady in a suit gave me a glass of water and offered to call me on my cell when they were ready. Can't ask for more than that.\r As for some comments below, the negative one about the staff always being new is just funny. Dr HS and her crew had 10 staff 4 years ago now they have 35 (I asked) and 2 different loctions. That is called GROWTH and there is only one reason why businesses grow that fast.. they are doing a great job. I think it is just sad that doctors have to put up with any negative comments on sites like this when they are clearly working night and day to help us to be more healthy. I for one have nothing to say except THANK YOU and keep up the good work. Pros: Service is great, doctor is the best in her field Cons: they are busy, but that's not really a ""con"" more

Wonderful center 8/1/2010

Dr. Hardwick-Smith is the best cosmetic gynecology surgeon in all of Texas. She learned her techniques by studying with doctors in California. She makes you feel like you are her only patient. \r \r I've unfortunately had many serious health problems, so I've had MANY doctors. She is hands down one of the kindest and most able doctor I've encountered. \r \r I would reccomend her to any and everyone contemplating cosmetic gyneology surgery. Pros: The staff, nurses, and doctors are the best Cons: Expensive. more

Very comfortable and compassionate office! 7/29/2010

I am writing to express my gratitude to the providers and staff of Complete Women's Care Center. I have recently relocated to Houston, I was a new patient and was worried I would not be able to find a provider like my old doctor back home.\r I was so thrilled with the smiling faces, professional staff, and the care and concern expressed to me by my doctor! She was wonderful and I have told several of my co-workers about this office. Every woman in Houston should know about this group - they are truly service driven, and care about their patients. Pros: Personable and professional staff, beautiful office Cons: none! more

not worth it 7/10/2010

i had really high hopes bc when i called for my first appt last year. i was assigned to Dr. Lisa Beard, who actually saw us at the first appt and was extremely personable, professional and knowledgable throughout my entire pregnancy. She always took the time to answer the few questions we did have during appointments. Unfortunately, this is where the pros end. The office staff is awful, everchanging and disorganized. I have never felt like a number so much. In particular, we had a horrid experience with the billing department. I was a self pay patient. I signed up for a package, pay X-amount over 4 payments due by 36 wks. WELL. everytime we went to leave we would schedule our next appt and always made sure to ask if we owed any money. we were always told no, not til such and such a date. it was very confusing. around 30 wks, I received a call from the billing dept telling me i had a balance that was like a $1000 more than what we had left to pay. i was taken aback and said she must be mistaken. After a few phone calls, nothing was resolved and we were to meet with her at our next appt. So we met with Rosa. She had almost nothing prepared other than a bunch of numbers on a blank receipt with no description and a total. I was told that shortly after i enrolled they revised their package and the check out girl must have assumed that i was on the new plan and that i still owed this ridiculous amount of $ that was supposed to be paid by 28 weeks (huh?). after several more calls and meetings, it turned out I was right all along. Fast forward to delivery time. I started laboring on Memorial Day. I waited as long as I was told necessary at home then called the answering service. I was called back promptly. So i made my way down to the hospital. The doctor on call for the day was Dr. Hardwick-Smith. I was pleased to hear this since I knew she was the head doctor and had stellar reviews from everything i had seen. I was admitted that evening. After i received my epidural, we had a bit of a scare with baby's heartrate but the situation was tended to promptly by the nursing staff and everything was then fine. I received a phone call from Dr. HS who told me she was on her way to perform a c-section?! i was naturally confused. When she arrived, she walked in, introduced herself first to my fiance and then to me and was very short with us. We then told her we didn't feel that a c-sec was necessary and she was appalled. Her bedside manner was completely atrocious. She gave us conflicting information and didn't get the correct updates from the nurse before speaking with us. When we told her we did not want to do the c-section she was insulting and completely uncompassionate. she made me feel like i was being selfish and a bad mother before my son was even born. i understand that emergencies happen, but with all due respect, she was not there when the incident happened and we felt she was jumping too quickly. we did lots of research prior to delivery and during this situation. she was clearly upset with our decision. i understand her concern, but the way she spoke to us (using words such as irrational and selfish) was unacceptable. I was also told several times that if i delivered on a normal weekday between normal business hours that Dr. Beard would be there. nope. 8am brought us Dr. HS again. She was definitely more pleasant with us that day. When it was time to deliver, she did beautifully. Our son was facing up instead of down and she successfully was able to turn him around and helped me get him out extremely fast. i do believe she is an extremely talented doctor, but she had left a sour taste in my mouth from the night before. The next day we waited ALL DAY for a doctor from CWCC to discharge me. The baby was discharged before i was. I thought that being right next door to the hospital would have helped. \r wasnt worth it. Pros: Dr. Beard Cons: everything else more

call wait time is ridiculous!!_Pearland 7/2/2010

I am a new patient. Wanted to speak to someone in the Pearland location. Be aware they only have one number for both locations, so if you want to speak to someone at the Pearland location, you are put on hold then have to request to be transferred to the Pearland location. Was on hold for 22 minutes then someone picked up and transferred me right back into the Houston office:(. . . then was disconnected. \r \r If it is going to be this hard to just speak to someone, I think I will pass and find another office. Plenty of Obgyns in Pearland. Pros: none so far Cons: wait time more

A great Doctor to make you feel Better 6/14/2010

As, a women we go through alot. When you have medical issues you need a Dr who is compassionate, Attentative and a great listener. Thank you Dr Jurney for being their for me as I prepare for surgey. I thank God for you Pros: Excellant in all Areas more

Dr. Jurney is as close to the perfect doctor as you can get 5/18/2010

Dr. Jurney is absolutely amazing, and I consider myself pretty hard to please when it comes to doctors. I wish she could practice medicine under every medical specialty, life would be so much easier! In our current medical culture, I feel the norm for doctors is arrogance, inpatience, and an extreme lack of empathy. Dr. Jurney is a rare, wonderful, and refreshing exception. I recommended her to one of my friends who is equally, if not more so, as hard to please as I am when it comes to doctors. She was actually just getting off from a horrible experience with her OB/GYN and wanted to find someone new. So naturally, I told her about Dr. Jurney, and the next day after her appointment, she could not stop gushing out how amazing she was. This friend also has an uncommon disorder that can lead to high risk pregnancies that her previous OB/GYN knew nothing about - and of course, Dr. Jurney not only knew about it, but answered all her questions and had a specialist to refer her to. She's definitely a winner!! Pros: She's empathetic, listens patiently, very knowledgeable Cons: nothing - even wait is not that bad for drs office more

Comfortable, Heartfelt, Professional 3/2/2010

Where to begin singing the praises of CWCC? From the moment I arrive for an appointment I am immediately at ease. The waiting room is beautifully decorated and so relaxing! The lights are kind of dim so it's easy to cat nap and take a much needed break from my busy day. When I'm with the doctor I feel totally at ease. Going in for my yearly exam is not my favorite thing to do, let's face it. But, being cared for by a female doc is the way to go. Men docs just don't get it!!! Pros: All female doctors and staff more

The BEST Care Center in Houston for Women! 2/25/2010

Dr. Sara Jurney has been my doctor now for 4-5 years. She has been the OBGYN for several of my friends and they all say she is absolutely the BEST! I started going to the Complete Womens Care Center after I had been going to a male doctor for a few years. Wow, what a difference! Dr. Jurney always listens to what I have to say, answers all of my questions, addresses my concerns, and makes me feel right at home. When you walk into the office, it doesn't feel like you are in a typical waiting room. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Not only is Dr. Jurney one of the best doctors in Houston, but the entire team of doctors are great. I would feel comfortable seeing Dr. Olimacher, Dr. Hardwick-Smith, or Dr. Beard if I was unable to see Dr. Jurney. They are such a cohesive team!! Pros: comfortable atmosphere, a great team of doctors more

GREAT Women's Care 2/25/2010

I've read so much about Dr Hardwick-Smith on this form, I felt like I should say something about Dr Ohlemacher. I recently switched to her because my previous OB/GYN was further from my house and the wait times there averaged an hour or more. Dr Jessica Ohlemacher is younger than most OBGYN's I've met but she is *the* most understanding and compassionate one I know. I bring a list of at least 17 questions to every appointment and she answers every single one without making me feel silly at all. I know this is a doctor's ""job"" but her attitude is always so reassuring. I can ask her dumb things like ""I sneezed! did I deprive my baby of oxygen??"" and she will answer without laughing. I love that she is vigilant about my blood pressure without making a big deal about it. In fact there were several things that I was anxious about (go figure) and Dr Ohlemacher is GREAT at explaining things so that I understand the severity (or not so severity) of the concern without making me more anxious but also without playing it down or being dismissive. She really gives reassuring but realistic counsel. That is my favorite thing about her. I'm only 13 weeks so I haven't had a chance experience the hospital yet, but I look forward to it. I should also put in a note about Dr Beard. I came in one day hysterical because I had some bleeding that was much more than usual and Dr Ohlemacher was in a different office that day. The nurses, Nicole and Naomi, were GREAT at calming me down. I was a complete wreck that day, and they spoke to me quietly until Dr Beard examined me and reassured me everything was ok but advised me to take it easy. Again, realistic, but reassuring. I would recommend this all-female office to any of my girlfriends and family. And I am so lucky to have them on my side. Pros: all-women compassionate, intelligent, understanding Cons: sometimes there's a wait, but less than usual Drs more

Issue addressed 2/21/2010

I have been a patient at Complete Women's Care Center for almost 10 yrs, and I have never felt more like a number then I did at my recent appointment. Four years ago I came here for my son and I planned to keep coming with our next baby. I am now expecting again and when I called to schedule my appointments I am on hold for 3-4 minutes minimum. The first appointment I had with the Nurse Practitioner was great! June Davis was very friendly and was not quick to leave the room. This was my first time meeting her since now the practice has new rules. My second appointment was to see Dr. Journey. When my husband and I arrived at the office we were told that she was running an hour behind. I tried to be understanding, being that I work in the medical field myself and know that sometimes things happen. We sat down and waited for over an hour. When I realized the time I questioned the front desk. That's when I noticed the sign in sheet and saw patients who signed in after us and who were also seeing the same doctor where getting called before us. I was furious! The front desk receptionist just told me she was going to look into it and of course all of a sudden that is when I was called back. My vitals were taken and I was placed in another room just to sit there another 15 minutes. When the doctor finally came into the room we addressed our concerns and she took it with a grain of salt. She was quick to the the point and the entire visit including the Ultrasound was maybe 5 minutes. I will no longer be continuing my visits with this office and hope that no one else leaves this office feeling like a number. ----------------------- Update ---------------------- Although my previous visit to the Complete Women's Care Center was less than desirable, Dr. Hardwick-Smith took the time to personally acknowledge my concerns. She was very apologetic and she assured me that my prior experience would not be repeated. I truly appreciate the time taken to contact me, it speaks volumes of her professionalism, and the practice she represents. Thank you Dr. Hardwick-Smith! Pros: Environment is very relaxing Cons: There is always a long wait!! more

same doctors but never the same staff??? 2/15/2010

As a business owner myself, I would have to say there is something going on in this office. My wife has been through 2 pregnancies in the past 5 yrs with this office..The only familiar face beside our doctor has been her nurse pam, which is the reason we made it through 2 very difficult pregnancies. Every check up in between and through out the 2 pregnancies I have never seen so many staff come and go. All I can say is as a business owner myself, it makes your company look very poorly managed if you cant keep the same staff member.I have been in business for over 30 years and if it wasnt for my staff , in which most have been with me 10+ years..I would be out of business and embarrassed as a professional !!! Pros: Nursing staff is very compassionate Cons: New nurses and staff members constantly. more

Compassionate Doctors and Nurses Providing the Best Care 1/8/2010

The doctors and nurses at CWCC are the best in the field. Dr. Hardwick-Smith delivered my daughter in 2007 and my son in 2009. She was there to support and encourage me every step of the way starting with my first pregnancy, second pregnancy, both C-sections, and follow-up care. She is kind and very experienced. She is prepared to deal with any complication that arises and give moms the reassurance you need for a successful pregnancy! She's a mom of 3 beautiful children and is very understanding when it comes to help and advice. Dr. Hardwick-Smith, Dr. Jurney, Dr. Beard, and Dr. Ohlemacher have all answered my middle of the night calls for reassurance with the most sincere concern for my baby and my health. Dr. Smith's nurses are the best. The women who manage the front desk, the office, and the lab techs are all friendly. We especially have a close relationship with Brandi, our favorite nurse practioner, Pam, and some of the nurses. Everyone at the practice has been professional, supportive, and so sweet to me and my family. They have become my extended family, and I will miss visiting them for those frequent prenatal appointments! Pros: Very understanding and supportive experts Cons: It's a long drive from Humble, TX for me more
