I am glad to see that Maicurist Marc J has found a new home at Capristo. Since finding him in Wexford, Pa. He has given me the best Mani/Pedi ever. I can't wait to get there for my monthly service. although it will be a little drive for me, Marc seems to make it all worth it. more

I never thought guys had the option to get rid of their pubic hair until I met Shelly at Capristo. I'm a straight guy who always had to shave, not anymore. Shelly made me feel extremely comfortable and the pain was quite tolerable. Best of all my lady loved the results and we are both reaping the benefits of a smooth brazilian wax job. I have been getting my legs waxed, and brazilian for a while now, and have never been happier when I switched to Capristo's. Compared to the place I used to go to, I would HIGHLY recommend Shelly for any type of waxing. She is so friendly, professional, quick, and makes me feel so comfortable. She greets you with a smile, explains everything clearly, and tells you what you need to do to maintain a good waxing. As far as facials, I also recieve one from her once a month. I have never felt so relaxed in a facial before I came to Shelly. She is very clean, uses great products, and my skin has never looked better. I am a poor (laughs!) grad student at a nearby university. I heard through word of mouth that Capristos salon offered a variety of salon & spa services. I had an upcoming event to attend to and decided to try them out. I scheduled my frist time braz. wax (thats all hair) and underarm wax. Upon arriving at the salon, i was greeted by a very friendly front desk staff. I was then introduced to the woman that would be working with me. Her name is Shelly Smith. She explained in deatail what was going to done, asked if i had any questions before begining the waxing. Her room was emaculate and very inviting. I felt very at ease and comfortable with shellys professionalism and expertise. The whole waxing experience lasted about an hour. I just spent an hour with Shelly getting a brazilian and leg wax for the first time. She was amazing! She made me feel very comfortable, and did a wonderful job. The atmosphere is very comfortable... with a nice private warm, clean room and relaxing music. I highly recommend this salon. if you are looking to get an AMAZING cut or color, roman is your man. he's great for updos as well. honestly, go to roman and you'll not only laugh the entire time because he's a riot, but you'll also leave feeling like a beauty queen! more

I would like to recomend Shelly at Capristo to anyone who would like a brazilian or any waxing service, for that matter. She was very qualified and made me feel very comfortable. The room was kept very sanatiary. Thank you Shelly for a great experience. more

first visit. found reception area unorganized and distracting. who likes waiting where there are manicures being done? the reception area itself was an afterthought. no good, current reading material normally found in a salon (i.e. fashion/ hair mags). once my stylist was ready, she handed me off to her assistant for a sub-par shampoo in another cramped, noisy area. the stylist spent about 8 minutes, giving me a crooked haircut. I have blunt, long hair with blunt bangs; she left the right side about 1/2 inch longer than the left. i didn't want asymmetical! then she handed me off to ANOTHER assistant for the blow out. the products she used weren't available for purchase at capristo! i do not recommend this experience to anyone, unless you enjoy being handed off and feel rushed to leave, by this point, believe me, you will be ready to get out of there! I come in from out of town at least 6 times a year, and take my mother in for hair and nails because all of her friends go there. I've had several manicures and pedicures which were fine quality, but it's very noisy where I receive the manicure. The receptionist were often times very rude. My mother is hard of hearing, and they get very upset with her when she asks them to repeat themselves. Not very well trained in the patients department. I usually have to go to New York to get a decent wax, but I just had THE BEST brazilian wax at this spa! Very clean, comfortable environment! Super efficient and detailed work! I also got a microdermabrasion facial while I was there and was equally pleased. I never thought Pgh. had a spa that could do those services so well -what a really pleasant surprise!!
