We were most satisfied with the entire process, from initial call to completed installation. The contract was comprehensive and clearly written and executed accordingly. Mid-March 2014 gave us an exciting and much looked forward to weekend. Best Roofing of Virginia started and finished our mansard roofed home in Virginia Beach. This is one of the best companies I have dealt with in a long time. Back in January we went out for bids on this roof with three local and well known roofers. All three responded to our request on time and with great detail. After reviewing the prices and workmanship we went with Best Roofing Of Virignia. The sales rep on this job was Ty Cox who was with us all the way. The month or so prior to our install was just filled with bad weather and our job was put off a number of times but eventually we got those three days that they needed for this immense roof. They started bright and early on Friday morning with six of the best roofers I could have asked for. These guys worked from 8 in the morning until dark and I mean dark. Finally on Sunday afternoon the job was finished just as the first drop of a three day rain came down. During the install Ty was always available and the owner, Don Harrelson showed up to inspect the workmanship. I can highly recommend Best Roofing of Virginia to each and everyone. more

Great Company! As a new home owner and young lady this area was definitely not my expertise. But the Project Manager Ty Cox made me feel very comfortable. From day one he took measurements, laid it all out, took pictures and explained to me the options. There was no pressure in fact I explained how I was having other contractors come and look at the roof as well. He valued that opinion and never tried to sell me his company, that alone let me know he was confident in what his guys could do. I liked that I only had to deal with one person the entire time even after the roof was done. You get what you pay for was not the case here, the entire team went above and beyond to get my roof replaced as quickly and professionally as they could. My new roof looks amazing and made me fall in love with my house all over again!!! more

While inspecting our newly acquired townhouse my daughter shoved up on the drywall over one of the windows and got showered with water. It appeared that the roof that the Housing Inspectors said should have a life of at least 4 years needed immediate replacement. Having had the roof of my house replaced in August 2013 by Best Roofing I gave Don Harrelson a call. Don was going out of town on business and told me he would have Ty Cox give me a call. I told Ty the problem we had and he agreed to meet me later that day at the property. He came out an gave me an estimate and I asked him when he could do it. He said he would try to get it the following Friday. Upon leaving Ty noticed that the property had a laundry room extending out at the back of the property that I failed to mention. He called on asked me if I wanted it included. Of course I did. Ty came back and measured it to include it. We agreed on a price and agreed that it would be done as soon as possible, but not later than January 23. On January 15th Ty called and said they finished a job early and could get me on the 16th. That worked better for us because rain was coming and we had leaks. They arrived as scheduled and started removing the old roof. When Ty arrived I asked him if I would have time to go to Home Depot to get a couple 2 by 4's to sister on to a couple of rafters that had water damage. He said his man was at HD and he would have him pick them up. They also installed them at a very reasonable price. They were very professional and finished the job in a day leaving the property in a very clean condition when they left. Without hesitation I would recommend Best Roofing for any roofing job. I had my roof, so called completed two times prior to "Best Roofing." I am an single mother who works full time. Of course, I am budgetor and tried to go with the guys who place discounted flyers on your doors and cars. Those appeared to be so remarkable, but after utilizing those services I remembered serveral wise sayings. "You get what you pay for; If it appears to be too good to true, than it is; and time is money" and many more. I decided to try a company that came higly reccommended. I interviewed two other companies before I spoke with Mr. Ty Cox with Best Roofing. After speaking with Mr. Cox I was totally satisfied. He made sure that I understood everything and their estimates. The cost was reasonable and it wasnt necessary for me to watch them step by step. I was confident that my home would be taken care of affectively and would no longer have to be concerned about my roof leaking or shingles falling off. The entire job was completed in one day. When we were looking for a roof replacement and minor gutter repair, we went for multiple quotes. Best Roofing (Ty) came out and spent the most time and provided the most detail in his quote, as he was very knowledgeable about his product. They also came in with a very reasonable price. They weren't the cheapest we quoted, but we went with them anyway, and have no regrets. They were able to schedule us in for a roof quickly, and their team came and completed the entire new roof in 1 day. Dropped the trailer off the night before, and did have to come for a short time the next morning to clean (just ran out of daylight). I was in and out of the house all day, and every time I returned either Ty (who was on site most of the time), or a lead roofer would greet me, give me an update, and always warn me where to best enter my house to avoid roofing nails while they were actively working. They were very responsible and respectful of me and did their best to avoid damaging any of our landscaping. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing a roof replacement. more

You could not ask for better quality service!! I called to get an estimate and a project manager was out the next day. I was still debating if I was going to get a new roof. Mr. Cox gave me all the options and a quote and kept in contact until i decided to get a roof. The crew arrived promptly at the time i was told they would arrive. Had i gone to work (had the day off) I would have came home to a new roof and the area around my house cleaner than when i left. I can't make any suggestions to improve there service.... everyone i delt with was super friendly and proffesional and my roof looks amazing. I was looking for a Roofer, I went to Angie’s list. The only one I saw in the area were we lived was Best Roofing I contacted Best Roofing of VA for an estimate and after talking to MR Don Harrelson the owner, I was promptly contacted by Ty Cox the project manager. I found Ty to be very professional and patient and spent time with us explaining in detail about material and cost before providing the estimate. After getting additional estimates we contacted Best Roofing to do the job. Ty called me back and provided an estimated date to start and a completion date, which was the day after Thanksgiving, Ty made additional phone calls with material delivery details. The men showed up Friday and took off the old roof and started putting on the new one. They came back Saturday and completed the roof and Cleaned up the yard around the house, you would have never known that work had been done. Everyone was nice and professional. The house looks new once again thank you Ty for your kindness and professional workmanship. Yes we would be glad to recommend Best Roofing to family and friends. more

It was time for a new roof on my old house so I contacted four roofers all from Angies List. All of the roofers were prompt in coming out to give me an estimate. But only two of the roofers actually went on the roof to look things over. Ty from Best Roofing Of Virginia spent more time on the roof than the other guy did and went into much more detail than the other roofers on what the job involved. I was impressed with Ty's attention to detail,professionalism and ability to answer all my questions. I wanted a roof exhaust fan installed and Ty was very helpful and informative on how and where to place the fan. The other roofers seemed willing to put it where ever it was easy to fit and combine it with a ridge vent or exhaust vents. Ty took the time to explain why a combination of vents would not work. He also had an electrician on hand to wire the fan properly. The crew showed up early and had the roof done by the end of the day. The clean up was thorough and my yard looked great after they left. I had two bids on the job that were slightly lower than Best Roofing of Virginia and one that was much higher. But as the saying goes " the best price isnt always the best deal ". I went with Best Roofing Of Virginia because of their price,professionalism and attention to detail. I recommended Best Roofing Of Virginia to an old friend of mine who hired them to roof his house also. A neighbor and a friend in Virginia Beach may be using them to roof their homes next year. more

Mr. Harrelson & installers were professional, punctual, competent, and responsive. Honored my special request to limit weight-load on roof due to two old layers. Credit card for down payment was nifty. Six hard working “team” of installers started 11/19/13 at 7 am with house protected from elements before departing at dark, with return next 7 am for excellent wrap-up, all without blaring music. Cost was lowest of six bids. Only bidder of six that recognized (with my opinion un-volunteered) my house required power vents, with Best Roofing installing three roof-mounted AIR VENT, INC solar Models SC8BL. Purchase of color-coordinated metal drip edges a plus functionally & cosmetically. Foreman’s obvious technical expertise and request for my ongoing & final inspection rooftop conveyed their honesty & interest in a job-well-done. Quality workmanship shows from rooftop to curb. more

Our original roof was over 20 years old. It looked old and was having problems. Best Roofing provided one of 3 estimates I received for total roof replacement, plus skylights & gutter. Don impressed me as being both honest and experienced in the trade. The estimate went smoothly, the information he provided about roofing and the products they offered was informative. We discussed the options and then decided to have the work done. Best Roofing had done a neighbor's roof the previous year, so that gave me an example of their work. The neighbor was happy, the roof looked great, and even better, the price was the lowest of the 3 bids. We agreed on a date, the crew arrived at the appointed time and set to work. Old materials were removed, required repairs done and the new materials (roofing, skylights and gutter) were installed and then they did an impressive cleanup after. We're very happy with the results, the value, and have a great looking and secure roof. more
